    This is very interesting.
It seems to me that you guys now are the only ones on earth using both soft boots and hard boots for carving.
Here in Europe I started many many years ago with hard boots and used only hard, it was 50% back in the '90, but trend now is that every young guy rides soft boots.
I am very interested on what are the main differences between carving with soft boots and hard boots, as you seem to do both very well. What changes with lower angles in soft boots? Is the board slower to change edge? Are hard boots less forgiving?
Thank you for all the info and keep up carving!!!!

You know the waist length of an alpine snowboard and a freestyle snowboard are different. That's why they all use different angles and width of bindings for smooth edge change. They use a binding angle to steer their body position more towards nose than soft-boot riding when enjoying hard-boot riding.
Some friends who enjoy soft-boot riding said that movement of ankles is important to enjoy smooth carving with freestyle snowboards. Hard boots make it difficult to move ankles freely.
And I think many riders likes soft-boot riding these days because they prefer to enjoy freeriding with some tricks rather than only carving
