    *Just cinch it up a tiny bit each time he crows until he does crow no more. Trust me, he will still breath, eat, drink, & give warning sounds to the flock.*

      I can confirm this.

      @@JoeCastellon *Ya, took me a week to find the sweet spot on my rooster's lower neck. It took him almost another week to get use to it. He would periodically stretch his neck out & lower his head & continuously walk backwards to try to "get away from it". But after about 6 days of that he was fine & that was months ago.*
      *I made my own out of soft double sided velcro strips.*

    I had the same problem. My roosters (around 10) were crowing too early for my neighbors. The collars worked around the same amount as yours. What really helped was keeping them in the dark by covering then when they sleep until I am ready for them to start crowing. You can also put your rooster in a small cage over night. Like the with the collar, the smaller area physically prevents them from crowing since they can’t stretch their neck fully.

    i have three polish bantam roosters i took from my daughter as her nieghbours are a problem ,,then so are mine , even with the tiny bantam collar they still belt out a crow ,,its a bit muffled but i got to the point where it was so tight youd be lucky to fit a pencil between ,,,too tight for safety and risk of food choke i think , im trying a rooster box that is about 3ft x 2ft x2ft for bed time just make sure theres water in there it can get hot and let them out by 8am daily , with the looser collar now i find them about as loud as the hens in daytime

    They work, all your have to do is tighten it up to the point where you can slip your pinky under it so that it want slid all the way through the loop. Don't worry the rooster will be fine.

      @@rickymc1213 not great. The change in noise was minimal. One day he got something stuck in his throat so I removed it to massage his neck to get it free and I have never put it back on.

    Interesting... I’ve never even heard of such a thing. LOL One concern for me would be the color that was used. I know chickens are attracted to red, so it could potentially cause issue with them pecking or fighting. Just a guess but... anyway... just found your channel and thought I’d comment on that. LOL

    • @urbanchickadoodle6004
      @urbanchickadoodle6004  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So far the color has not been a problem maybe it’s because he’s a rooster and they don’t fight him I’m not sure. The collar works for the most part. He only crows in the morning and the rest of the day he does not. If the collar could go tighter I don’t think he would crew at all because it trains roosters to not crow. Thanks for stopping by.

    You are torturing your rooster,it is natural behaviour for rooster to crow.

    • @BeachBum21
      @BeachBum21 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s not torture, and it’s not hurting them. It doesn’t stop them from crowning, it reduces how loudly they crow…
