26:00 there about. Not really. In the parable of the lost sheep the shepherd leaves the 99 to find the one. Same with the lost coin, the man went in search of the one coin. The entire story of redemption is that God left heaven to become a man and rescue mortal man's soul. It is the seemingly endless bounty of God's love that forces the psalmist to question "what is man that you are so mindful of him" (Psalm 8:4). And what would you say of the parable of the prodigal son ? A son who walked away from his father to do his own will and yet at the point of repentance his father is more than ready to meet him partway and restore him. If you don't like the song you may say so, I'm not sure how the song isn't doctrinal. The entire tale of redemption can be deemed illogical when we omit God's fervent love for man. We've seen scripturally how God deals with angels who sin. And there's man who God died for to redeem him from his own wrongdoings. How is that not an example of God's love ? How is that not doctrinal. I wonder indeed.
Okay, but I believed the whole essence of the parable of the lost sheep Jesus gave, is fully explained in verse 7 of Luke 15. Parables are earthly stories with heavenly meanings. The prodigal Son in the bible after remembering all the benefits once enjoyed and he has lost, made him return back home.. The Father never went looking for the boy but rather He was patiently waiting for the boy to return back home. Why did the Father never go in search of the boy? because the boy now understands the difference between good and bad and since he knows the way home he will return back when he is sorry. His father was patiently waiting for him. Why in the bible the boy returned back to the father, but the story of the lost sheep the owner went in search for it instead? Was it because the lost sheep never knows the way? The parable of the lost sheep was talking about those who haven't know the Way The Truth And LIFE, WHICH IS JESUS; Luke 15:7 In the same way, I tell you, there will be more joy IN HEAVEN OVER ONE SINNER WHO REPENTS THAN OVER NINETY-NINE RESPECTABLE PEOPLE WHO DO NOT NEED TO REPENT. The prodigal son's father never searched for him because he knows his son knows the way home....That's why the bible said when he saw the son he said "His Son who Was Once Lost has returned back". Anyone who hasn't received jesus is like the lost sheep, but if anyone who has received Jesus but still goes back to the world, is the prodigal Son. I believe this parables were two different stories and they were explaining two different things.
@@kingdomMatters1 and how does this mean that leaves the 99 to go after the 1 is not a doctrinally correct ? It's scriptural. Christ left heaven to come to earth to redeem man. It was not man who sort out his own redemption. Logically speaking who accepts a son that squandered a large portion of your wealth and not just accept but reinstate him.
@@Kodaks_Lu.llaby_ Not entirely true, Jesus came to redeem, he didn't go door to door, he came with the message the kingdom of heaven is here, no force, but a choice, read and listen please, they came to him . he didn't go chasing, they came. That is what he is saying.
@rachelibiks9815 "behold I stand at the door and knock" ... That's a Bible verse that just puts your argument to the side. Evangelism is quite literally going from city to city, door to door , reaching as many men and women as you can. Jesus told his disciples to go into the world. To every nook and cranny. How is that not the shepherd going after the lost
@@rachelibiks9815 they came to him ? Jesus quite literally spent his whole life walking around and preaching to people. Literally commanded his disciples to go and find sinners to preach to. The Rev is a man with great teachings. But on this point his assertion seems incorrect ( Matt 28:19, mark 16:15)
