Metro Manila is composed of 16 cities and one municipality. There is also a certain city in Metro Manila which is called Manila City. SM Mall of Asia is located in Pasay City, Metro Manila. BGC is a business district in Taguig City which is still part of Metro Manila.
Even Filipinos living outside the capital region collectively calls Metro Manila as Manila. That's where the confusion starts.

Once and for all : Manila is the ACTUAL city...the CAPITAL of the Philippines. The rest is part of the greater metropolitan Manila. Filipinos need to learn your geography.
Makati is more of the business center while bgc is mostly for shopping and socialites

Maynila is what you call Manila in Tagalog/Filipino. Also, Filipinos loves going to the malls not just on holidays. Malls are usually full on weekends and after work/school hours. That’s the reason why there are many malls across the country.
2:25 To make it more easy to understand, Metro Manila is similar to Negros Oriental which is a province of Dumaguete, Valencia, San Jose and some other cities/towns. So, Taguig, Makati, Quezon City, and Manila City are all cities/towns in Metro Manila. 😉😉😉

@@vincentnin1 - its part region 7 or central visayas. negros occidental belongs to region 6, and negros oriental to region 7. Bicol is region 5. check your geography.

Hello family! Glad to see you're all enjoying your visit here in Metro Manila, which is also called the National Capital Region or NCR for short. Just to enlighten you a bit, the whole of NCR has 17 cities, some of which you have mentioned like Manila (Maynila in Tagalog), Quezon City, Makati, Taguig (where BGC is), and Pasay (where MOA is). Manila or Maynila is the capital of the Philippines.
You got it right! That’s the new term now for Metro Manila, NCR or National Capital Region.

With a few days left in your Metro Manila visit, try also touring "SM Megamall" which is the most popular mall in the Philippines before MOA was built. It is just beside another cosmopolitan shoppimg mall, the EDSA Shangrila mall. Both are along EDSA in the Mandaluyong and Ortigas cities of Metro Manila, and less than 10 minutes drive from BGC. (Watch TH-cam videos about these two awesome shopping centers before visiting.) Be SAFE in your travels!!❤🇰🇷❤🇰🇷❤🇰🇷

another place similar to BGC is Filinvest in Alabang, Muntinglupa a suburb south of Manila...here you'll find the Festival Mall....another nice place to visit is GREENHILLS Mall

you should go to sky garden at the back of the mall and also in seaside area is also at the back theres an outdoor amusement park there enjoy moments living here in the philippines ☺️

Mall of Asia is in PASAY CITY. Greenbelt is in MAKATI CITY. Bonifacio Global City (BGC ) is in TAGUIG CITY. These three -- Pasay, Makati, and Taguig -- are just some of the many cities that make up a group called METRO MANILA. Manila City, the capital of the Philippines, belongs to this group and has big malls also and rich in historical sites (most popular perhaps is INTRAMUROS) because it was developed three centuries ago when the Philippines was a colony of Spain. I am very happy to see your family enjoying your short trip in manila. just a short information. manila is the capital of the PH and you and your family are now in metro manila. manila is different from metro manila. If you want to live in Metro Manila, one of the best places is BGC (in Taguig) and Makati City. anyways happy to see that you enjoyed going to MOA (mall of asia).
Go to Okada Hotel stroll inside the Hotel especially their indoor swimming pool walk-ins are welcome, while waiting for the Dancing Fountain for their dancing fountain. It's free and even a not-staying guests are welcome to watch. Monday to Thursday 6pm to 9pm. Friday to Sunday 6pm to 12 midnight. And if you're in Makati you can also watch the Ayala Festival of Lights at Ayala Triangle near Greenbelt. Enjoy your vacation here in the Philippines. 😊

Next time visit again and try there mini theme park near the seaside. Oliver and lyn will enjoy the rides . And the rooftop there is also mini garden.
