Cool, I see you cut the mortar joints with the trowel after striking just before brushing.👍 The bricklayers around here haven't been doing that since the 1990s. They just strike and then brush. It makes a mess but they don't care. The pressure washers will clean it right up, along with a mm of the mortar joint 'skin'.😅
That was magic. I can't bricklay yet but I'm going to learn to build this.

mike harding as good as rodian is at this sort of stuff it’s getting a bit repetitive at this stage . Real life bricklaying like Steve and Alex channel , Charlie collision , hendos bricklaying from Australia are more enjoyable channels to watch now .
Shinobi I think that’s the one I replied to yesterday ? The auld censorship goes on with some of the you tubers alright. In fairness to rodian he’s good at the decorative panels and he’s trying his best to keep the channel going since the work on the house came to a stand still but there’s only so many of the panels you can do . When that type of high end brickwork was at its height I’d say most of the bricklayers were on day rate and probably very badly paid.

That was very cool, Rodian. I do have a question. when building spiral piers how to you keep them vertical? I can imagine it would be very easy to spear off in any direction but vertical without care.

That's bang on! Do you ever make twisted piers that are mirror images of each other? One twisting clockwise and the other counter-clockwise.
That looks amazing. I would love to see some victorian style walls with the cut out colums on the sides if you know what I mean. Your videos makes me wanna repoint the entire building I live in because it hasnt recieved any love since 1937 (Latvia). But I dont own it so..

I watched this several time and as an old retired plumber who has laid a few bricks, well firstly i am amazed at your skill,but am a little confused how you keep it completely plumb all the way up,I realize the angle formers give you the twist ,but where do you place the level for the uprights, cheers anyway brilliant.thanks for post,.
amazing what you do but it was fast forwarded through all the interesting stuff. needed verbal explanation of the twisted brickwork. Then fast forward. You explaining is what makes your videos interesting. This is the first one of yours I've rejected..
