I always find myself coming back to this vid. Wii U is still the best Nintendo system released to date, unsurpassed. It can play every previous system's games and is comfortable and easy to use, not to mention energy-efficient. It's a shame the PowerPC architecture born with the GameCube is no longer around, I will miss it dearly.
I hope that in Mario Kart U, the pad is used as a mirror to see who's behind you and they bring back the two characters per kart idea like in Double Dash.
Every time nintendo come out with a new console, they always think out of the box and have that feature that it's competitors don't have. People keep saying that the graphics are awful on the nintendo products, but they offer a gaming experience other consoles do not offer, which is probably why they have pretty good sales :)

The innovation mainly comes from what the extra screen does. Being able to play games without the tv and having a fifth player do a different task with the screen on the controller and others with wii remotes doing something else while looking at the tv. Nintendo is also trying to recapture the hardcore audience to make a system truly for everyone.
Well we're already getting pretty strong hints that it may be included. The parallels drawn to Wii Sports during the conference and the idea of it being a showcase for new types of play make it a possibility. The reaction has been very similar to that when Wii Sports was unveiled - namely, "DAFUQ IS THIS?" But as people see more of the games and (hopefully) it is bundled with the console, it will become very popular. On another note, the dad sounds like the wooper from "Go Away Wooper."

in theory you get way more bang for your buck with the black deluxe set no doubt, personally i think the white looks better. good luck getting your hands on a deluxe though at launch, everywhere is sold out, I had to preorder a basic set

No, they've said they're doing a Zelda game on the Wii U. It was only rumored for a few months after people saw the tech demo with Zelda in it, but Nintendo have said they're gonna do a Zelda for the Wii U.

I feel if they really wanna drive it home, they should include this game with the console. It'd be a great incentive like with the Wii if the Wii U came out with its own game. Not to mention it could get a wider audience to recognize Nintendo Franchises like F-Zero. Just my $.02
Well Nintendo has always been very popular but the wii made them fall behind from other companies in terms of amount of games worth playing and hardcore gamers being almost completely left out. I hope the wii u will make alot of people get back into Nintendo again.

As of January 31st, 2017, the Wii U has been discontinued and it's going for really high prices online, and it's also really rare to see in stores now. I really hope you acted on getting it pretty fast prior to February. It's too late now.

I assume that "Animal Crossing: Sweet Day" in Nintendo Land was originally called "Chase Mii"-- a prototype title.
Although we could still get a 3DS Zelda tomorrow. It's been the usual amount of time, at least by DS-game standards.
