    Hi Quiana, I'm trying to respond to your comment but there's no reply button for some reason. You can use any type of paper for this flower, but paper that is a little thicker than regular paper is better. Are you located in the US? If you are, you can just buy regular cardstock from Michael's and it works great! I usually use 60 lb cardstock, but I have also made flowers using regular 20 lb copy paper.

      +Just a Little Creativity Hello I would hot glue the base of each big flower to a plate (the base back part of the to the plate) and if I want to set them in a cluster of flower together I would hot glue the ¨base¨ plates together by the edges, using a hole puncher, I would punch some holes ¨base¨ plates to run a ribbon or strong thread, so when I would hang the cluster of flowers they will hang the angle I desire and use some of those 3M stick hooks that could hold the weight, another way I would use is to purchase a roll paper table cover in the color I wanted and hot glue the big flowers were I wanted the the paper tablecover sheet enough to create the back drop using a long thin wooden rod (long enough for the width I desire the back drop to be) hot glue it to the back top part of the paper table cover sheet, stick some 3M stick (removeable) hooks that can carry the weight of the backdrop on the wall I want the photo backdrop to me hang my back drop on the hooks when event is over I can remove the backdrop and remove the 3M stickable hooks to clean up. Hope these ideas help :)

    I really want to do a paper flower wall for my wedding. I know I can use a styrofoam board as the 'wall'. But how do I make the wall upright? I dont know if leaning it against a wall will affect its aesthetic. If you could advise, thanks!!

    • @ashandcrafts
      @ashandcrafts  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there! You can glue the flowers to a foam board or fabric. If possible, I recommend the foam board and attach the board to a wall using a bunch of 3m Command Damage-free picture hanging strips (available in the picture frame hanging aisle at Target or Home Depot). If you can't attach it directly to the wall, you can use a backdrop stand. You can buy one on Amazon for about $35 or you can build one yourself with PVC pipes. You would use heavy duty clips to clip the board to the backdrop stand. Let me know if you have any other questions!

    If you cannot attach directly to the wall, what do you prefer for mounting? Foamcore or cloth? What do you find works best to keep them from falling off once placed? Do you hot glue the backs or do you need to pin them?

    • @ashandcrafts
      @ashandcrafts  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      therealglitter808 Hi! Attaching the flowers to a sheet of foam or fabric with a hot glue gun is the best way in my opinion. Some people also like to use thumbtacks or push pins but I'm not sure how well that will attach to foam. Another thing you can do if you want the flowers to be removable is to use those damage-free removable strips like these: www.command.com/wps/portal/3M/en_US/NACommand/Command/Products/Catalog/?N=5924736+3294774739&rt=rud

    I have a 1/2 bath in my basement. I painted a tree on the wall. I originally wanted to paint flowers on it. but now I want to use cloth/fabric to make these small flowers. Any suggestions? Thanks.

    I love your tutorials, very detailed and simplified. I'm making some for the backdrop at a baby shower. Thank you so much.
