Great review , I just got my GV 60 advance 3 weeks ago and I love it , I am in Canada and the nice thing about the advance here it had the same trim level as the performance you get that nice quilted Napa leather . The only hole I can pick in the car was the center console I wish it was deeper rather than the hard to get too storage under it , also a sliding console would have been nice like the Ioniq5 has on the Ultimate . But all in all its amazing .
Wow, what a great hands-on review, especially with references to your past experiences with other EVs! This car is on my wish list! -- Model 3 owner (LR/AWD)
Thanks for this review. This may be the only full review (not just a walkthrough) of the Advanced model and is the version I hope to be getting (I have only driven the Performance version). I was glad to hear you really liked the ride quality. Can you comment on the acceleration since this is the smaller output version? My guess with 314hp and torque >400, acceleration is probably still quite good and for most people, would be all you need.
We have a dilemma between the 2023 GV60 and the Model Y. Tesla has a well-established charging infrastructure and EA is not so great based on customer reviews. We plan on using the car for occasional summertime road trips. We love the GV60, but the Model Y is selling at a lower price as we speak. what are your thoughts? Anyone else experiencing the same dilemma?
Thanks! I've owned two Model S but they are not worth the money, I have a Lexus now. I LOVE the GV60, really considering it because quality and charging speed, proper comfort luxury etc.
Spot on with your review. I have had my GV60 for 3 months now and love the car. I do have the performance with slightly less range. But the smoothness and build quality is fantastic. You are right with the nav system. Our 2 trips required me doing the figuring of chargers and miles to stop. But the charge speed was great. My wife was surprised at how quick it can charge up.
Maybe this will be the answer to nav issues ... Google Maps' newest feature will let you pick your car's engine type, with "Gas," "Diesel," "Electric," and "Hybrid" available as options for the eco-route planning to consider. Google says "in the coming weeks," the feature will roll out to the US, Europe, and Canada. Europe is also getting its first taste of Google Maps eco-routing, starting today.
@@SveltoPerformance I have the Volvo XC40 and it uses Google OS and that works as you want. More normally now though I just drive as far as I want and then press the find chargers button, it will then take me to one and carry on with route as planned.
So far this feature doesn't do anything on cars that don't have google automotive (not to be confused with android auto). It just changes to text in the routes to say "saves X% of energy going this route"
Sounds like a fantastic car love everything about it the looks I love that you said the car is very smooth I do a lot of road trips I think I'm going to have to wait till they get these cars to go 350 MI or 400 on a single charge I have owned three genesis they are great cars can't beat the warranty 👍
Excellent video. I give you a thumb up for your comments about your likes on the Genesis GV60 which is an amazing Ev. But I really give you a very Big Thumb up about your dislikes on the GV60. I own an Ioniq 5 SEL and I feel very disappointed with the navigation system. You are absolutely right when saying that Genesis, Hyundai and Kia must improve the navigation system since it is extremely important that any electric vehicle be able to plan the charging stops during a road trip. I hope that this video is being watched by them so they can improve the feature in a near software update.
A factual and honest review of a great car - thank you very much for that! I ordered a GV60 Sport in Germany and am really looking forward to the car. Oh, of course I pressed the subscription button! 🤠 Best regards, Michael
Thank you, my friend. I am excited to start this channel to talk about cars, especially EVs. You are going to love your GV60. My wife has now taken it over as her daily......
Excellent review! I live in NJ and should have my gv60 in a few weeks. Glad to hear ur comments on the great ride in the Advanced. My dealership only has a performance for test driving so I was nervous that I might not be happy because of the difference in suspension systems. Glad you made the road trip safely but those navigation/charging stations issues are a real bummer. I suppose it's due to 3rd party charging if all of the non telsa evs are having the same issues. I'm android, do u know if Google maps is better integrated? Thanks for the review!
I never heard the idea of dealerships installing charging stations at their locations. I think that’s a great solution. Just think of the incentive that would give people to purchase their cars.
Loved your video. Very informative! I think I’ve narrowed my first electric car down to the GV60, so have watched every video on TH-cam. There aren’t very many out there on the Advanced package. Can you do another video showing the interior of your car. Trying to cut costs as much as possible and don’t feel I need the extra speed the performance model offers. I was more concerned about comfort and it sounds like the Advanced package may be the way to go.
A very in depth review. 8 stops in an 1100 mile trip is a stop under every 200 miles. At 15 minutes each that is 2 hrs of time. Going from 20-80% I assume. To me the vehicle seems better suited for a daily commute than a long distance trip.
I did not mind the stops, it breaks up the trip and you get to meet other EV owners. I would like it to be around 320 miles of range, but the larger the pack the longer it would take to charge. So it’s more of a trade off range versus charging speed.
I've been on a couple of 1500 mile trips in our EV6 - I don't mind stoping every 2 hours or so. I'm not a young man and it is more comfortable for my back and bladder to stop at this pace!
I was looking at the Genesis of Milford site at a used 2023 GV60 Performance that only has 2K miles on it. How was your buying experience? I'm thinking of buying there and driving back to Florida
Lane keep assist cannot be turned OFF permanently because of safety reasons. One pedal driving may not be permanently ON because of EPA regulations. Therefore, we cannot program these features into user profiles.
I’m working on writing a blog post about how to conveniently charge EV’s and having dealership charging is high on my list. Especially fast charging. We have a local Chevrolet dealership that has charging bays (including one fast charging) but why don’t all dealerships have it?
Genesis of Milford. they charged 2K for paint and interior protection as well as a wheel package protection. I normally fight those things, but I thought the dealer was fair.
@@SveltoPerformance Just spoke to Mitch and strongly considering buying and driving back to NC. Are you able to get that car serviced in AL? Mitch said as long as it is a certified electric Hyundai dealer it should not be a problem - not sure if you had this experience. Sounds like they picked you up at the airport - was this an issue?
It's hard to compare the two. The e-tron is a much bigger SUV and maybe a little more luxury inside. The range on the GV60 is better than the e-tron and I would say charging is pretty close 10-80%. I like the GV60 a little better; it feels more sporty.
I’ve had my GV60 for about 3 weeks. I’ve had to use the Electrify America app to initiate charging, except this last time I just plugged in and it automatically starting charging. It was at the EA station I use most frequently. Hoping it will continue to be that way. But honestly, it’s been pretty easy using the app. It’s a simple swipe to start charging👍🏼
I wish I had counted on my trip from NJ to Tampa it’s hard cause one stop was lunch and another was hotel (with free charging) but I’m willing to bet less than 11 stops in my 2016 Model X
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷👏🏻, Should have gotten a 2023 BMW M, in my opinion! Like the BMW X3M Competition or X4M Competion 2023 models. An M car from BMW doesn't lose a lot of value the other BMWs do, but not the M ones. Plus BMW M are cars that last for 40 years...
I had an iX on order but they canceled all 2022 orders and made us order 2023 model year as well as went up on their price. They should have honored the 2022 orders in their order bank. Not a fan of BMW anymore.

Tesla cells arranged facing downwards in case they ever do catch fire - which is hardly ever for EV's compared to ICE or hybrid cars. Fires per 100K cars sold: Electric 3474, Gas/petrol 1529, Electric 25. Tesla's also one of highest scoring cars ever in formal crash testing.

Doesn’t Tesla program full regen as the default and leave it there? That’s the same as iPedal.
