The thing that spooks me about Yamaha's acoustic pianos is the frequency that they come out with new models at the expense of the older ones in the same bracket.
My list is: C.Bechstein/Zimmerman/ W.Hoffman Estonia Kawai Yamaha / Bosendorfer Samick / Seiler / W.Knabe Pearl River/ Schimmel/ Ritmuller Steinway / Boston / Essex Bluthner/Hassler/Irmler Fazioli Petrof
Ted, you need to come to Portland and Portland Piano Company to play a Fazzioli. It’s like playing butter. Amazing pianos. I couldn’t afford one so went home with an SK6, which isn’t anything to sneeze at. so happy you love the SK. Amazing piano. I love that piano competitions are choosing Shigeru Kawai and Fazzioli over Steinway. I feel like Steinway is over rated. My husband and I had a terrible experience at our local Steinway store. Hope to make a trip to San Antonio to see your showroom. Thanks for your videos.
I didn't hear mentioned - Acoustic: Bechstein & Blüthner (and they also make digital pianos in Germany). Digital: Dexibel Thanks for the enjoyable videos.
I'm glad that you included Casio and Korg. The hybrid Casio GP510 is one of the few high end pianos available for pickup right now and I am thinking of taking advantage. It is going to take months if not longer to get a CA99 or CLP 785.
Wessel, Nickel, and Gross (WNG) is owned by Burgett, Inc., which also owns Mason & Hamlin and PianoDisc. I had my technician put the WNG action with the Flex2 shank in my Steinway B when he did a partial rebuild a couple of years ago. The action is amazing!
I think C.Bechstein need to be mentioned among the acoustic pianos even if they are mainly known only in Europe. And they have made some presence in the digital world through their partnership with Casio in the wonderful Celviano hybrids. But my top favorites in no particular order are Fazioli, Shigeru Kawai, and Steinway (Hamburg).
Hi guys, weird request but could you to a video about piano bench/stool/chair? The different type, the different cost. Should you keep the bench that come with the piano? What is the right one for me? It's not like it makes any music but I spend more time on the bench than playing piano. I'm pretty sure Ted has some cool story to tell about piano bench.
C.Bechstein and Blüthner must be on this list: they're by far the best two German pianos. Everyone on earth knows the Blüthner sound from the Beatles (Yesterday, Let it be). They're both better than Bösendorfer. I would add Nord to the digital list - they beat most Casio models. Also Dexibell (ex-Roland engineers) could break into the list soon if they start using a decent action instead of Fatar.

I think you got the key brands, but I would add Beichstein and a newer brand: Hailun to your list.
I just tuned a 1928 mason and hamlin
Bechstein/W.Hoffmann/Zimmermann, they are just so small a player in the US.
What about Petrof. Are they still around and how is their quality?

You could also argue that these two should be on there:
August Förster (Germany)
Shulze Pollmann (Italy)
No mention of Hailun?
C. Bechstein
I think the only thing you got rong is calling the una corda pedal the damper pedal🎹🎶
Friends !!!C.BECHSTEIN and C.BECHSTEIN EUROPE are the best Brands in the World they you have completely forgotten on your List !
