Yooper Here! I love to brag about the Awesome fishing we have to everyone but the winter blows! if you guys ever plan a trip up here again i would be more than happy to house y'all and show you some awesome fishing!
@@BassBros8 steelhead are here in big numbers right now I live really far north in the “Keewenaw peninsula” walleye and bass are going to be really good from middle of may til about the first week in June and just about every tiny little creek and stream you see has tons of brookies in them
Nice catch on the Pike! Even though you miss good sizes of fish, you sure have great view of large lake, camping and fishing. What a beautiful lake you spend week at!
Dang Joey that was a grind. Every time you lose a fish a new lesson is learned, you definitely got educated up there. A beautiful place to go fishing, glad you got to enjoy the experience.
I've been there many times with the break off. Now I have a rule: Retie leader after every decent fish. I just don't like to take chances with a fish of a life time. Any cast could be the big one. I live in Michigan also and fish for Steelhead and Salmon all over the state.
The big lake they call Gitche Gumee. The lake it is said never gives up her dead when the gales of November come early.... Great footage, awesome experience. Little Cleo spoons. every time.
As a native Yooper, I respect the effort! For fall steelhead or coho, I’d recommend having 2 bottom rods with a sliding sinker above a leader and a spawn sac with some floaters and salmon eggs in it. And then cast with your 3rd line if you wish. Surf fishing is not easy though. Keep it up!
@@BassBros8 yessir. The TH-cam channel “Adventure Chasing” has some great Lake Superior surf fishing videos to get a better idea of rig setup as well. Good luck!

Many species of Fish cruise the shoreline, I'm always surprised that I don't see more Fisherman using your method. I certainly do and I love it

Try braided line
What part of the u p are you fishing?
So happy for you😊! God’s awesome, beautiful creation and you really loved experiencing it. At a loss for words….I understand…❤.
Thanks grandpa❤️
I was born and raised on lake superior. I use 25lb line surf fishing the shore.
Gitchie water energy. Try salmon roe
Definitely will next time I’m up there!
The line could’ve snapped because your drag was way too tight. Steelhead need to run so make sure the drag is set right!
Will you please switch the reel handle… you’re driving me insane watching you switch to the other hand to cast…lol🙂👍
Can you drone out baits for sharks there???
Yeah great whites are all over
Baby pike
I don't care what i am fishing for i always use a heavier line ...
Don’t set the that hard
