    Gun in Thailand more expensive than US. four time because gun shop have limited quota per year if you purchase Glock in US.about 20000 thai baht you have to pay 80000 baht inThailand.

  • @bluesman7475

    This Thai official is incorrect about purchasing componets (bullets, primers, cases or powder) or loaded ammunition outside of NYC, Chicago, Mass and California (liberal strongholds) anyone over 18 for rifle ammo and 21 for pistol ammo can purchase ammo or componets without any type of permit. Literally at the local hardware store or Walmart (big c equvalient). You can even mailorder these items or ammo and have it delivered to your home ( signature required and no post office boxes). This is one of the things I miss in Thailand, I have been a lifelong hunter and Cowboy Action Shooter, trap shooter and high power rifle competitor and have had to give it up here. I would not want to buy a gun here, but shure would like to import some of the ones I own that are stored in the USA.

    • @bluesman7475
      @bluesman7475 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well, actially did not give them up but have them stored where I can not use them. As far as the rest. I have not had alcohol in 29 years and I have a wonderful wife and 2 children. They make giving up my hobbies worth it.

    You don’t need a permit to own a gun in USA. The permit is the 2nd amendment to the constitution. You can walk into any gun store and buy any ammunition/gun. They do a criminal background check and then you get your gun. Takes about 45 minutes.

    • @mightymizzar9672
      @mightymizzar9672 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      here's a questions why can a criminal not own a gun ? besides the obvious where's the amended section of T he second ammendment that claims this?

    • @WyzrdCat
      @WyzrdCat 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The second amendment is violated all the time and won’t get you very far with anyone. Many states require waiting periods so you can’t walk out with one on the same day. Many states have so many restrictions that there is no reasonable way to legally use it too.

    • @shawnmccafferty7010
      @shawnmccafferty7010 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes. There's a handful of places. Two of that I know about for sure are the Skeet & Trap Shooting Association of Thailand (based inside Hua Mak Stadium in the Ramkhamhaeng area of Bangkok) is one place. Another that I know of, but have never been is Photharam Shooting Range out in Ratchaburi. I think it's largely focused on Sporting Clays & FITASC disciplines (or it has those in addition to Skeet & Trap). They have competitions out there from time to time that foreigners are allowed to shoot/compete in. Either w/ their own permitted guns or borrowed guns from the club. Thailand actually has a couple of ladies who are pretty highly ranked internationally in Trap & Skeet and probably will be Olympic Medal contenders for Paris in a couple more years

      @Ron Dodson The answer is yes, even you are a foreigner. However, the required criteria are very high, for example you need to have permanent resident VISA and live in Thailand, have Job permit and stable job with income in Thailand, have high ranking public officer/military/law enforcement sign letter of guarantor and so on. There are law offices that specialize in this kind of thing that can assist in obtaining permit.

      That’s a question for a lawyer and not TH-cam. If your life or freedom is on the line, do you really want to trust the word of a rando on YT? If you have a gun in the house, it’s your responsibility to know how and when to use it. Contact a Thai lawyer or Thai rifle/firearm association for clarification ASAP! Then make sure you know how to use the shotgun and practice your aim/grip/stance regularly.

    Logical thinking, observing the double standards practiced by law enforcement in Thailand, no respect for life is ever taken into account. People are given free rein to do what they want in terms of gun possession. If an application for a license is completed for the purchaser of the firearm, he/she should be taken to a shooting range and valued on their capability in handling that firearm to have the license to be approved. If that firearm seller does not approve, the license is canceled and registered to the firearm commission for note. In this way, two people are responsible for the issue of the license, the seller and the applicant.
