Even Muslims believe that Jesus was more than just a messenger, or it would not be written in the Koran that Jesus will return to defeat the devil. He had both human and divine nature-- human from His mother's side and divine from God' side. Because of His human nature He died on the cross. Even Muslims believe that Jesus was more than just a messenger, or it would not be written in the Koran that Jesus will return to defeat the devil. But how can a man argue against what he has not read and does not know? My only challenge for you is this: read the New Testament in the Bible. Pray to Allah to lead you to the truth. @@monikabond2359 there is not a single unequivocal statement in the entire Bible where Jesus (pbuh) himself says, "I am God" or where he says, "worship me". In fact the Bible contains statements attributed to Jesus (pbuh) in which he preached quite the contrary.
(i) "My Father is greater than I."

(ii) "My Father is greater than all."
[The Bible, John 10:29]
(iii) "…I cast out devils by the Spirit of God…."
[The Bible, Mathew 12:28]
(iv) "…I with the finger of God cast out devils…."

Jesus' Status:

"And Jesus said to him, "Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is, God" (Mark 10:18).
"And I seek not mine own glory; there is One that seeketh and judgeth" (John 8:50).
Many Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God and God. From the above verses, it is clear that Jesus denied being God or the Son of God. It now leaves the Christians who believe that Jesus is God to provide just one single verse in the Bible where Jesus says, "I am God." God in the Old Testament declared, "I am God" over 200 times.
It is obvious that Jesus called himself son of man; the people called him teacher and prophet; the devils called him Son of God; Paul called him son of God in the Jewish sense; and John called him God using the Greek philosophy. In Matthew 10:24, Jesus, after calling himself as the son of man, he continued to claim the highest honor of being the servant of God:
"The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord."

If Jesus was God he would have told people to worship him, but he did the opposite and disapproved anyone worshipping him: And in vain they worship Me [Matthew 15:9]
If Jesus claimed to be God than there should be hundreds of verses in the Bible which would have mentioned it. But there is not a single verse in the entire Bible in which Jesus says I am God, worship me

He had both human and divine nature-- human from His mother's side and divine from God' side. Because of His human nature He died on the cross. Because of His divine nature He resurrected on the third day. It is this resurrected Jesus that Christians worship as God. When you don't even know the difference between God and god you shouldn't be preaching to Christians their faith.
There are several verses in the New Testament which imply Jesus is divine. John 20:28 is just one of them Do you understand logic? It says if the premise is false the conclusion can be true or false. If there is no verse in which Jesus says " I am God." that can mean He may or may not be God. There is no verse in the Quran that says Muhammad was circumcised. So that can mean he may or may not have been circumcised. But as I said there are several verses which imply Jesus is God. We Christians who pray to Him and witness His divine power by way of Faith Healing, Exorcism, Stigmatism and preservation of bodies of Saints, one of them nearly 1800 years old, do know He is God worthy to be worshiped.
Apparently you have been lapping up without applying your mind what Ahmed Deedat had spewed out . I am no scholar but even I can find loopholes in Deedat;'s arguments. He did not have much secular education. His logically unsound arguments are good enough only to impress naive Muslims like you. Dr. Yasir Qadhi rightly observed " the dawa of Ahmed Deedat and Zakir Naik has turned many people off." I have never heard authentic Islamic scholars like Dr. Yasir Qadhi, Dr Shabir Ally, Reza Aslam , Mufti Menk and Omar Suleiman ask such logically irrelevant question as " Where in the Bible did Jesus he was God."?

Not only can no one be worshipped apart from Him, absolutely no one else can be worshipped along withHim. He has no partners or associates in worship. Worship, in its comprehensive sense and in all its aspects, is for Him alone.
"There is no true god worthy of worship but He, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate." (Quran 2:163)
God’s right to be worshipped can not be over emphasized. It is the essential meaning of Islam’s testimony of faith: La ilah illa Allah. A person becomes Muslim by testifying to the divine right to worship.
"Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord." (Deuteronomy 6:4)
Jesus repeated the same message 1500 years later when he said:
"The first of all the commandments is, ‘Hear, O Israel; the Lord our God is one Lord.’" (Mark 12:29)
And reminded Satan:
"Away from me, Satan! For it is written: Worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only." (Matthew 4:10)
Finally, the call of Muhammad some 600 years after Jesus reverberated across the hills of Mecca:
"And your God is One God: there is no god but He…" (Quran 2:163)

"…Worship God! You have no other god but Him…" (Quran 7:59, 7:65, 7:73, 7:85; 11:50, 11:61, 11:84; 23:23)

Jesus Never Calls Himself God
The Bible (in spite of being changed and adulterated over time) contains many verses in which Jesus speaks of God as a separate person to himself. Here are just a few of them:.

Jesus speaks of God as a separate being to himself: I’m going up to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God. [John 20:17]
In this verse he affirms that he was sent by God: This is eternal life: to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you sent. [John 17:3]
If Jesus was God he would have told people to worship him, but he did the opposite and disapproved anyone worshipping him: And in vain they worship Me [Matthew 15:9]
If Jesus claimed to be God than there should be hundreds of verses in the Bible which would have mentioned it. But there is not a single verse in the entire Bible in which Jesus says I am God, worship me
