It is incredibly helpful to actually see how the foundation sits on the skin when deciding whether or not to purchase it myself. I hate it! It’s cakey no matter how you apply it, what primer you use or how perfect your skin is before. It seeps into pores and fine lines and only looks good in pictures/videos it’s definitely a camera foundation but other than that in person it look like your wearing foundation and it’s so heavy and causes clogged pores and break outs yuck!
Im really surprised, I have oily skin and large pores but the foundation holds well on my skin. I dont wear any primer under it. I didnt like Huda’s primer when I tested it and also when I sampled the foundation I didnt wear any primer and it was good so I just bought the foundation. I use a foundation brush to apply and then go over it with a beauty sponge but you are right, Im extra careful when applying over my nose as it can disappear easily if I dont set it. But honestly in hot and humid weather of Dubai, Huda’s foundation has been good to me. Thanks for the honest review Nikkia 🙏🏼💕

Yes girl yes!! Why don’t I see any other oily girls!! And I can’t do any primers or moisturizer. It doesn’t help the greasy look. Even Sir John will tell you that. I just spray a ton of Fix Plus to my skin before I start blending in my foundation.
I'm sooooo oily and this is my holy grail foundation. It is by far the absolute best one I've tried for oily skin and it is the only line that has a PERFECT color match for me! It could have been the primer that you used.
Alessandra 35 I have pretty oily skin that breaks out very easily. After trying many different primers, I have come to love Rimmel’s Stay Matte primer for the face. In the US it is only about $6 or $7. It is very smoothing, non skin-irritating, mattifying. For eyeshadow primer, I’ve found that the elf shadow lock eyelid primer works amazingly well. It’s only $2 and it left me with picture perfect eyeshadow after attending a Brad Paisley concert in triple digit temperatures.
Alessandra 35 try Essence I heart stage eyeshadow primer. I have super oily eyelids and it works quite well. I set it with Rimmel stay matte compact powder. My eyeshadow stays put all day. Also it's super affordable 😀

This foundation and her concelear are my Holly Grail. It held up for 12 hour flight and 3 hour in Kauai hot weather before i took it off i love it absolutely. Nothing even compares
I loved the way it looked on my skin, but it really clogged my pores. There are a lot of acne-causing ingredients in it. Thanks for your review! I love your videos
Everyone’s skin is different u won’t know how a product works unless you yourself try it . I don’t listen to bad reviews because everyone’s skin and hormones are not the same .. every foundation sets into smile lines unless you’ve gotten fillers done .
So far all but one loves it, I think it will crease and settle around the mouth and chin because most of the movement and our face touching happens around mouth and chin. For me, you still look amazing, and remember most people don’t look at your skin as close as we do in the mirrors either.
Nikkia you should try the Beauty Bakery setting powder. I think it’s amazing myself. I love it. I set under my eyes with it & my whole face if I’m wearing a liquid foundation.

I feel like you may have applied too much of this foundation? Less is definitely more. I have what is quite possible the worlds oiliest skin and this foundation works a treat for me. I use maybe a third of what you did and it will last me 20 hours. I actually tested this. Applied at 5am and removed at 12:30am the next morning. Worked inside in air con and outside in 33 degree heat + 80% humidity (it is Queensland). I had a light glow, but looked healthy - not oily.
The huda primer looks much better than the primer that you normally use. I just had to pause the video to say that because you said it made your face feel greasy but that side of your face looks much better now I'm going to get back to the video and watch you put on the foundation

That’s just the Australian accent. Was shocked when I moved here and heard them pronouncing “water” as “warra”. It’s just how it is, nothing to do with not knowing Huda’s name.

i have combination oily skin & i can wear this foundation for a full day of work and some. it looks completely flawless. i work at sephora and suggest it to my clients that want that full coverage without looking cakey. i suggest to try out a sample and do a wear test to see how you guys like it.
Thank you for this review! After playing with this foundation for a while, I find the best way to wear it is to mix it in with another foundation you like. I typically mix mine with either the Diorskin Forever Foundation or the YSL All Hours foundation and it looks spectacular. Similar to you, though, I can get about 5-6 hours of flawless wear with it before it starts to break down on my very oily and textured skin. I find this is a foundation that does require a lot of touchups throughout the day, Not a complete deal breaker but I think everyone's got to play with it to figure out how it'll work best for them. i have dry skin and this foundation performed extremely well for me. i did prep moisturized and primed. it laster quite a while and it never separated and it did not cling on any dry patches

Nikkia Joy From what I've heard Huda made the packaging plastic so that the price wouldn't be too high since she put good skin care ingredients in the formula. They also recommend 1 pump or less so that you don't have settling, caking, creasing, transfer or too much oiliness. It's meant to be applied in a thin layer from what I've seen with how other TH-camrs have faired with it, dry, normal and oily skin types alike. Regardless I loved your review and you look beautiful!
I would like to try the Huda Foundation however they don't have any pink/cool tones in the medium range, and I'm very cool toned! However, last week I finally found my holy grail - the Dior Forever foundation! I have a majorly oily t-zone where foundation disappears from my nose regardless of what I do (and yes, I've tried your tricks to help but it still doesn't work!). The Dior Forever foundation stays on my face all day, doesn't crease or get into my fine lines. And I had an incident visiting Mecca last week - I tried a facial spray and it spat at me and my face was so wet like I'd dunked my head under water! And surprisingly, after dabbing away the facial spray, there was very little foundation on my tissue and the foundation held up through all of it and didn't look bad or break up! And for the first time ever, I had so many compliments on my foundation and skin!! You have to try it! Its in Myer and DJ's, and Sephora sells it in store too (but not online)
Finally someone that gives an honest review on social media.. I was excited about this foundation and went ahead and bought 2 shades.. I must say first when u apply it, it looks perfect but after couple of hours it went to a mess.. it became oily and cakey and I just wanted to remove it!! It’s good if u have a photoshoot for like 2-3 hrs. but if u want to wear it for a day out I wouldn’t recommend. Honestly it was disappointing

I agree with you I have the same skin type as you and I tried this foundation and worked really hard to make it work with different products but as much as I wanted to keep it I had to return it because it made me look too cakey. I was looking to buy it again because my friends love how it applies on there skin and they praise this product. So i was looking through videos to see if I can find someone who has my skin type and had a success but I guess not. I really need a full coverage foundation with full coverage that does not settle in to pore through out the day and does not come off and does not settle in to lines. 😭 no success yet.
Yess Nikkia I felt the exactttt same way about this foundation!! I was so excited for it but when i tested it out on my oily skin and it performed the exact same way, thankfully i was able to return at sephora and i got the YSL all hours foundation instead and I love it!!

Super excited to watch this I have been waiting for your review of this. So many mixed ones out there but I always trust yours as you never steer me wrong with oily skin products.
I feel like you may have applied too much of this foundation? Less is definitely more. I have what is quite possible the worlds oiliest skin and this foundation works a treat for me. I use maybe a third of what you did and it will last me 20 hours. I actually tested this. Applied at 5am and removed at 12:30am the next morning. Worked inside in air con and outside in 33 degree heat + 80% humidity (it is Queensland). I had a light glow, but looked healthy - not oily.

The huda primer looks much better than the primer that you normally use. I just had to pause the video to say that because you said it made your face feel greasy but that side of your face looks much better now I'm going to get back to the video and watch you put on the foundation

Nikkia, test the all hours YSL! Y tried it yesterday and I’m shocked! It lasted like 5 hours flawlessly and then by the night time i was a bit oily but still looked really nice. Give it a go!

That’s just the Australian accent. Was shocked when I moved here and heard them pronouncing “water” as “warra”. It’s just how it is, nothing to do with not knowing Huda’s name.

i have combination oily skin & i can wear this foundation for a full day of work and some. it looks completely flawless. i work at sephora and suggest it to my clients that want that full coverage without looking cakey. i suggest to try out a sample and do a wear test to see how you guys like it.
Thank you for this review! After playing with this foundation for a while, I find the best way to wear it is to mix it in with another foundation you like. I typically mix mine with either the Diorskin Forever Foundation or the YSL All Hours foundation and it looks spectacular. Similar to you, though, I can get about 5-6 hours of flawless wear with it before it starts to break down on my very oily and textured skin. I find this is a foundation that does require a lot of touchups throughout the day, Not a complete deal breaker but I think everyone's got to play with it to figure out how it'll work best for them. i have dry skin and this foundation performed extremely well for me. i did prep moisturized and primed. it laster quite a while and it never separated and it did not cling on any dry patches

One question, which full coverage foundation would you recommend? I currently use urban decay all nighter which is really good but it creases a little bit around the mouth lines

Nikkia Joy From what I've heard Huda made the packaging plastic so that the price wouldn't be too high since she put good skin care ingredients in the formula. They also recommend 1 pump or less so that you don't have settling, caking, creasing, transfer or too much oiliness. It's meant to be applied in a thin layer from what I've seen with how other TH-camrs have faired with it, dry, normal and oily skin types alike. Regardless I loved your review and you look beautiful!

I would like to try the Huda Foundation however they don't have any pink/cool tones in the medium range, and I'm very cool toned! However, last week I finally found my holy grail - the Dior Forever foundation! I have a majorly oily t-zone where foundation disappears from my nose regardless of what I do (and yes, I've tried your tricks to help but it still doesn't work!). The Dior Forever foundation stays on my face all day, doesn't crease or get into my fine lines. And I had an incident visiting Mecca last week - I tried a facial spray and it spat at me and my face was so wet like I'd dunked my head under water! And surprisingly, after dabbing away the facial spray, there was very little foundation on my tissue and the foundation held up through all of it and didn't look bad or break up! And for the first time ever, I had so many compliments on my foundation and skin!! You have to try it! Its in Myer and DJ's, and Sephora sells it in store too (but not online)
Finally someone that gives an honest review on social media.. I was excited about this foundation and went ahead and bought 2 shades.. I must say first when u apply it, it looks perfect but after couple of hours it went to a mess.. it became oily and cakey and I just wanted to remove it!! It’s good if u have a photoshoot for like 2-3 hrs. but if u want to wear it for a day out I wouldn’t recommend. Honestly it was disappointing

I agree with you I have the same skin type as you and I tried this foundation and worked really hard to make it work with different products but as much as I wanted to keep it I had to return it because it made me look too cakey. I was looking to buy it again because my friends love how it applies on there skin and they praise this product. So i was looking through videos to see if I can find someone who has my skin type and had a success but I guess not. I really need a full coverage foundation with full coverage that does not settle in to pore through out the day and does not come off and does not settle in to lines. 😭 no success yet.

Yess Nikkia I felt the exactttt same way about this foundation!! I was so excited for it but when i tested it out on my oily skin and it performed the exact same way, thankfully i was able to return at sephora and i got the YSL all hours foundation instead and I love it!!
