    This trailer is very unique and I am sure appeals to a lot of folks. But wow tent and zipper city. The TV does not fit the vibe but I am sure one can delete that option. AC and heater 120v...what? So you have to roll with a generator and your gray water just drains to the ground. I don't think this bad boy will win any environmental awards. So we are likely in the 65k range with 12v ac heater mod. I would love to see a video of Josh setting this up. My guess 45 minutes. Also since I am now a renowned "old man" bending over to access they front box to access controls would get old. Maybe some knee pads would help on that level. I believe these are now an OBI product right?

    I really like a lot of the design and material choices made by Conqueror. Unfortunately, they don't design for cold weather hardiness. That's not unusual, most of the "Southern Hemisphere" inspired rigs available in the US are the same (UEV-25, Black Series, Kimberley, Dweller, MDC, AOR, etc.). We get caught in hard freeze conditions (teens and lower) about 30 times a year. We need "real" four season capability, not because we need to live in the trailer over a long winter, but because even one hard freeze negative event can do a lot of damage. And so we wait patiently to determine if the RKS Motive or Roamer1 (Xplore layout doesn't work for us) will fit the bill.

      Yes. Following. Too bad you don't like xplore tho. What else on the market has the R value of the xplore and such?

      @JD-fx1np ปีที่แล้ว

      I would call RKS about the Motive. Or Trail Mark but their build schedule is way behind I think. Or wait listed

      Speak of China...ask ROA why they no longer carry Black Series 🤔 I did, told 100% made in China, poor quality now and same goes for customer service (again, from dealer perspective)...not ROA to their customers...but they now sell Conquorer 🤷‍♂️

      @@helgewilliams6757 Selling Conqueror and not selling Black Series probably has less to do with them being made in China, and more to do with the companies' design philosophies and values being different, with Conqueror being the better of the two in both regards. Knowing how Black Series has severely devalued their own products, it's not all that surprising.

    Awesome trailer! I see ROA is going to be at overland expo east in Virginia. Will you guys bring any trailers? or going without trailers?

    If ROA was able to get the UEV 25 to the US market that would be the real game changer.

    You said they were originally from South Africa, why not mention where from now? I was considering the conqueror 490 and contact a dealer in the mid west 8-10 months ago or so. He stated "we no longer carry this trailer, it's now 100% made in China. Trailer quality and customer support (from a dealer perspective), no longer there". I really liked it, is he wrong? Consumers rely on dealers to inform us honestly. Thanks

      I've thrown in the towel on defining trailers based on their component parts country of origin. I now call all of these types of trailers "Southern Hemisphere Inspired". That covers designs from Australia and South Africa and parts from those two countries, as well as, any parts from China (which, admittedly are all too common in these trailers). I consider the Dwellers to be in the same SHI category. RKS Off Road and Imperial Outdoors, for me, are in the "American" category, even though they do source components from China and/or Europe. The American trailers are more likely to take cold weather capability into account, the SHI trailers are almost guaranteed not to.

      @@susanvowell5339 I was disappointed to discover for sure. It appeared to be a nice rugged option (490), with excellent interior space. I did purchase a Patriot Campers X3 (long before ROA carried the brand).

      Helge, I don’t know specifically who you are talking about… But if someone said the quality and service has gone down then yes “He is wrong” Our experience with quality is that it is top notch and we have been supported very well. Of course time will tell. But Conqueror has been producing products in China for sometime now and the quality and service has been good until now. Like Susan said. Most parts are sourced in China. Almost all of our manufacturers get parts from China. Dometic is mostly made in China. It is the world we live in.
