Wonderful tour of Strasbourg at Christmas. Seeing the footage of the cathedral reminded me of a story we learned when we toured there. In WWII fearing bombs would damage the cathedral, parishioners were asked to hide a piece of the rose medallion stained glass over the entrance. Each family carefully wrapped and hid in their homes or buried in their gardens each piece of glass. After the war every piece survived and was re-leaded back together! A true miracle of faith and devotion.
