Ugh.. this speciality im most interested in I knew it was gonna be difficult I feel so discouraged....sigh
Every specialty will have difficulty to it. Getting into medical school and doing well is also extremely hard. But it can all be done with hard work. Ophthalmology is def one of the harder specialties to go into but that's why you gotta work and study extra hard.

hello can anyone help me? I really want to become an opthalmologist but I don't want all my time to be in the office or doing surgery I want to have a family if i become an opthalmologist will I have a normal work schedule like from 8 to 5? and also when my kids go on summer vacations will I be able to take two to three weeks off for a vacation? ty for the help.
If there is any specialty that will allow you to do that, ophthalmology is the one. You can have a pretty sweet lifestyle as one allowing you to do those things

Guys this question really been bothering me a lot I really wanna be an ophthalmologist and it’s not about the money it’s just I love it you know i love what they do working area technologies and of course I wanna help those who can’t see clearly but the question is, is ophthalmologist really in demand right now ? what’s the unemployment rate?
The demand is very high for ophthalmologists. There are too many patients and not enough ophthalmologists in fact. So we always have a job.
