    Looks great! My chamaerops took a beating but my 4 yucca rostrata look great after the 4 day subzero arctic blast we had mid January in PDX. I thought it odd that my fan palm didn't turn brown until weeks after the freeze.

      Yeah, cold damage can be slow to show in palms.

    Thanks so much for the tour - fabulous collection!!!
    I saw a few that are on my bucket list LOL.
    I have to ask how you water and feed all those plants?

      I use a sprinkler and water by hand…. It’s a lot of work! I have a buddy that is going to set up an irrigation system for me, can’t wait! As for feeding, I use a granular fertilizer twice a year on most things. For the fruit trees I use fertilizer spikes in the spring. I also use a lot of mulch which helps keep the weeds down and water in the ground by limiting evaporation.

    you're going on about the glaucaus sheen on your T. princeps, and all I'm thinking is "just pet the damn cat!"

      I have been thought that there is no real right way to pronounce Latin names… as long as you don’t butcher it too much! 😂

    Great vid! The Canna's, do you leave them in the pot over winter and outside? Or bring them in (either the bulb itself or the entire pot) to the greenhouse? Also, what were those grasses/blades, behind the musa bajoo?

      I leave the cannas in the greenhouse to let overwinter, outside would get too cold for them. I have kept them going for over 6 years now from a small plant I got for free shopping at superstore. 😎. The blades are most likely Crocosmia starting to come up.

      Thank you. Last question - how often do you have to water crocosmia?

    • @palmdaddy
      @palmdaddy  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@dz1515 seldom, its very drought resistant

    Hello, are you able to share where you source your Dicksonias in the Lower Mainland?
