Did you know Sioux City Iowa is called little Chicago because it formerly was the Midwestern hub of Capones prohibition era alcohol operation? He actually had his own wine and whiskey cellar here just off the Missouri River. We historically have been a regional center for bourbon, whiskey, rye and have plenty of whiskey, corn whiskey and true bour in distilleries. Additionally Sioux City hosts the Whiskey Hole. A bar where you can't find a pour from less than 70$ a bottle. We got some small shops here that have unique and rare items. Plus we are right in I 29 north to south and just an hour of I 80 east and west so you could probably squeak us in on your way to and fro.
Old Forester 1920 was one of the first bourbons I bought. Heard a lot of good things bout it. It didn’t disappoint. So good and I love that it’s high proof but drinks like a lower proof. It’s a great Friday night after a long week bottle.
Happy Belated Anniversary to y’all! My wife and I just celebrated 26 years! I didn’t take her on a barrel pick, just dinner and a bottle of wine after.
Maybe I am being picky but can you do these without including store picks? For someone like myself in PA I use your results to give new things a try but store picks are never available and I don't know if the traditional brand non-store pick is the same but thanks I love watching these
If you’re doing stuff with Sugarlands, I stumbled on something last year that’s an absolute game changer. I was making ribs and was out of apple juice, so I substituted with their Appalachian Apple Pie Moonshine, & those were the best damn ribs I’ve ever made. Very tinder, sweet, smokey, and that hint of bourbon/shine flavor. Give it a try if you’re doing the 3-2-1 method at some point during football season.
Island Park Idaho is about 20 - 30 minutes outside the town of West Yellow Stone and would be a lot better place to stay. I would also recommend going late fall after kids are back in school, and you need probably three days to really see everything without rushing. Also there is a whiskey bar in Pocatello Idaho which is about two hours south of Island Park.
What’s crazy is I live in Missouri and I’m closer to Kentucky’s bourbon trail than I am Ben Holladay. Hard for me to make a trip for just the one distillery.
Not sure if u look at new comments on old vids. Just subscribed after watching many of ur other hunting vids. BUT! I just subd bc you really show ur personality on live stream. Ty for the entertainment.
You praise the cinnamon graham cracker whiskey and then say the one that everybody says a cinnamon toast crunch is awful. Hard to see the difference honestly....

I'd be all over any Garrison Brother's picks!
Evan Williams Small Batch (1783) is SOOOO much sweeter than EWBiB. If Small Batch was at least 95 proof, it's probably be the only bourbon l drink.
They just have to come out to Reno so they can visit frey ranch and all the other distilleries in town

There’s a difference in a cinnamon roll and a spoon off raw cinnamon.
I got a bottle of monkey shoulder to dump in that barrel cause IT IS HORRIBLE for my taste.
In my opinion rum is better than whiskey
With mixers 100% but whiskey straight is better... In my opinion of course
