- We are riding with 12 Royal Enfield Himalayan 410cc bikes in Ladakh all Himalayan Bikes ,, all bikes as new just 5-10k done 2018-2019 models
When we were heading towards Zanskar Padum with basic group lead ,, suddenly one of bike broken in two parts and riders feel off at mountain side ,, he was lucky didn't hurt because of #Alpine_start riding gear.
But it was not any miss use of bike,,
No hard and harsh ride,
All bikes service and maintained condition,
These bikes are not use for day to day renting ,,
These use most of personal group tour by max overseas riders , those riding GS kind bikes at there countery.
After This accident we check all bikes & we found out of 12 bikes , 6 bike chassis going to broken any time ,
We call Company , Company guy says you didn't services your bikes timely !! ( That Why Its Happened )
Someone pls tell me ( Did u ever service your bike Chassis or at Service manual you read , you need to welded you chassis every 5000km or less.
Its happens because of pool quality martial and RND of Royal Enfield.
Its happens with us in 2016 also, same problem with one bike , that we thought its because of ruff riding or bad road ,,
So pls share this as much u can ,, to save life of other riders and RE improve there quietly and products,,
If someone died because of this Quietly and broken chassis wile riding , who will be responsible ??? - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ

This was a rented bike, so no wonder. That to in a region like ladakh, people honestly ride like assholes when the bike doesn't belong to them. Royal enfield also strengthened the fork section after people complained, i bet this model was a bs3 version of himalayan, which had alot of problems.

@@SoorajSuseelan10001 if royal enfield was crap tell me how did noraly from itchy boots toured across the world with her himalayan with only minor issues like clutch plates, and what i said was true, this was a rented bs3 bike. Any company out there produces its first batch to check for errors (reason why many people avoid buying the first batch) and royal enfield did the same, the bs3 version had a lot of issue, which were resolved in bs4 version. Instead of recalling that particular bike and fixing it, royal enfield also reinforced that section where the bike broke, for their future bikes (bs4 and bs6). this could've been a heating fault(manufacturing defect) yet RE did something for the safety of their customers,so no i don't think Royal Enfield is crap.

Well, what the rental companies did not do was to look after the motorcycles for damages, when the bikes arrive after every ride. That is a basic SOP for any rental company. Old royal Enfield were strong and heavy, now it's just kids toys
Nowdays bajaj company bikes are improving in build quality they are providing best of best materials for making the body parts.
For those who already have Himalayan. I can give them a small advice.
Go to a engineering shop (metal cutters and welders shops) and get a very good quality(in terms of strength) thick sheet of metal(obviously should have more thickness than the one shown in this video) and cut them precisely and get them welded( preferably gas welding) nicely from Tcone set holder to the chasis upto the tank under area on both left and right sides and at bottom. Then i can guarantee you that now it can withstand more pressure and if something goes wrong only forks/wheel rim takes the beating.
If you are in a dilemma then watch some bikes like normal Pulsar 150, FZ, Xtreme welding areas.
It may cost you max 1-2K rupees but will obviously give you peace of mind for the rest of your bike ownership.
Hell with bike warranty. Get it done.
@rajiv savant Im not missing any point here bro.
As this bike is plagued with this problem.
You have the following options.
--Go legally and file a case until all the bikes of that batch are recalled and you are compensated for the time and stress you have spent on this issue Can you do that?? . Atleast i dont have that much time and references to fight with RE. All i can do is email them and fight at SVC.
I think RE will have readily a bench of advocates to fight for any such cause.
--The alternative option is what i have said above.
--Option 3 Sell that bike and have peace of mind and buy a proven off road and city bike like an Himalayan which we cannot get at that price point.
Also we cannot get reasonable resale value.
Also in my opinion those who go for Himalayan doesnt have an intention to sell it off that quick.
And why does this happen???
. Well RE has track record of tons of issues with their bikes right from horrendous vibrations to ever green rattling timing chain issues, low quality rusting parts, pathetic starting problem etc.
Its obviously some buyers mistake too when you know the track record of a company.
RE never changed their attitude since they take Indians(us) for granted because whatever shit they throw at us we eat it like a biryani.. Chanting the names of "MUSCULAR, MACHO, ASLI MARD KA BIKE, LEGEND(what legend my foot), LEGACY, MADE LIKE A GUN, MATURED etc falthu titles to it.

Go for xpulse. Can do extreme off roads.
Or adventure 390 for power.
This case was a while back. The himalayan production was halted completely and the himalayan was taken off stores. They spent 1 year+ revamping it and relaunching in the bs4 avataar. I own one. Ride it off road and it's built like a tank. Tbh no one knows how the bike was kept or maintained. RE bikes have issues no doubt. But this case is a one off. Unlucky for RE. Lucky for the biker to walk away.
Go for bmw 310 GS but these bikes are rented bikes who knows what's the condition of them, tootne ka to bc mera tiger 1200 bhi toota tha similar way me, its not the brand it's way how you maintain them. I am driving Enfield and been on different terrains never faced an issue. In fact I own a collection of 17 different Enfield bikes from old to moderns. And I have 2 himalayam at my home. This guy just fooled the entire RE family cunningly because if the Metal will break the edges of broken metal as well as the handle joint must have been badly scratched and dented. Koi naya naya rider hoga ye. Don't worry bro it can happen on any bikes.
Apparently this was a common issue on the first Indian market 410s... I haven't heard of this happening again recently.
When you wanted to go kasmiri valley but RE almost took to gods valley
