I am in your debt forever. My wife after she researched this no turn signal issue had me trying to remove the relay looking squares on the back firewall. Their shown in your video. Thank goodness I wasn't successful there. So I looked under the hood, of course nothing. So I came in and you tubed and your video showed up. Already had the underneath removed but no relay...turns out either the place she takes her Cadillac to Broke the clip on the relay or what ever but I found the relay way up on the wiring harness attached to the loose wires using the metal clip. Managed to get the relay free of the wires and the relay out, new put in. Sadly, all that work and the turn signals still don't work. But the relay was right where you said it would be or very close after the mechanic moved it higher. Thanks again.
Damn sorry to hear that man. Well I’m glad my video was of some help to you. The next thing that would cause your problem would be the turn signal switch or the multi function switch is what I think they call it. Those do go bad as well and cause the no turn signal switch. I’ve also seen a hazard switch do the same because the connection gets dirty because that is rarely ever used. Try turning them on and off like 3 or 4 times and see if you get your signals back and if not it’s definitely the turn signal switch that went bad
No problem at all man! Glad my video helped! I spent hours searching forms trying to do research online and trying to find videos on exactly where this turn signal relay flasher was I couldn’t really find anything. So I figured this video would be a good idea to help out other Cadillac Fleetwood owners.
@@CaddyRich blinkers wouldn't work but hazards did. Looked everywhere like you did and there was nothing. I ended up getting a heavy duty flasher, and watched your video and saw that I still got the wrong part. It's metal and cylindrical. Smh
@@mr.jackson4911 exactly the same problem I had. Definitely glad my video helped you locate exactly where yours is. Just remember when ordering the turn signal flasher relay it’s a black plastic square 3 prong relay and the hazard flasher relay is a metal round 2 prong relay
@@mr.jackson4911 well if you don’t take it back might as well replace it so you know it’s new and won’t have any problems with the hazards not working. They never really get used anyway so your old one is still good at least lol
Very strange mine just started doing this today I went to start the car up this morning go for a drive and when I would activate the signal switch nothing happened I turned the car off and restarted it again and the signal started working. Continued driving went to make a left turn it worked fine and then randomly cut out I think my flasher module is going bad. However I'm a bit concerned that my turn signal stalk might also need to be replaced soon as the mist function no longer works for the wipers but sprayer wiper speed and high beam function works
Hey caddy friend. I have the same issue that just started about 3 weeks ago when the heat started to bake Pennsylvania. Looked around and they are discontinued. Bussman makes one that is supposed to be a replacement. I hot it from Amazon for around $17 delivered. Eaton electronics Bussman flasher relay # 758. I haven't installed it yet, as mine frustratingly started working fine again.
@@noahweaver5193 what's up homie, so I'm still messing around with my issue, I'm slowly tracking it down, so I don't think this relay was my issue, I changed all my bulbs to LED and my homies said to swap them back to stock halogen bulbs, if it calls for a 1157 use an 1157 not a 2057 etc etc, they said something about a certain resistance is needed from each bulb and LED being super efficient makes the car lights freak out, start that as well, it fixed some of my problems, but I have 2057 bulbs that are giving me some problems, so gotta find 1157 and swap em, if u have more questions I can try and trouble shoot it with u😎🤙🏽 but I'm also new to Cadillacs so I dont know all the answers😎🤙🏽
I ended up finding a low mileage Fleetwood in a junk yard and grabbed the flasher relay to have an oem relay because like you said they discontinued the relay and do not make them anymore however there is one that will work. I got it from O’Reillys and even on their website it says this relay does not fit my car, but it does and it does work. It’s just the flash pulses were a little faster than the original relay and I wasn’t a big fan of it. It’s not fast like hyper flash when you install LED lights without a resistor, but it still bothered me so I put it back in its packaging and put it on my parts shelf for a back up one if I ever need it again. I’ll go out and take a look at the part number and get that for you so you can get a new flasher relay for your Fleetwood
@@CaddyRich thank you, I appreciate it, haven't had to much time at the moment to track down my problem, but I'm planning on getting back to it soon😎 my car had a whole bunch of problems when I first got it, so I'm happy the only problem at the moment is flashers, ideally I'll find a Fleetwood at a junk yard and grab all original parts off of it to keep for later! I've been looking but I can't find them up here ( I'm in Washington state)
