First they showed signing of Ketubah (the paper signing) which is the wedding contract - they are also having the pre-wedding tish (drinks and reading of a chassidic text). Then the groom dresses for the ceremony with the white coat and in this sect they wear a thick black gartel (belt). And finally the outside coat -and proceed to the ceremony area (outside) - while everyone is waiting outside - the groom went and veiled his bride in the women’s section - Then went to the chuppah to wait for his bride - in this video they didn’t show the bride coming to chuppah and circling the groom - they bride is there but they are not showing her under the chuppah but we can see glimpse of the dress. The after wedding feast - and entertainment - the mitzvah tantz (dance) of the bonbon rebbe with bride. Each Hasidic "hoyf,", or court, has its own customs and traditions with regard to clothing. But they're all based in part on the clothes of the Polish/Lithuanian aristocracy, or szlachta. The outfits--including the long coats, or bekishes and hats, or shtraymls--are what the noblemen in that part of the world used to wear. @Kathrin Kleinknecht No it doesn't--a mensch is a guy known for his ability to get along with others and his tendency to do good deeds. It's a _compliment_. That fellow that helps you change your tire when it's raining and smiles while he does it? That's a mensch.
Thank you for that information! The huge crowd suddenly makes better sense. I couldn’t imagine how any groom, or host, could remember the name of each guest until your comment. It’s a community celebrity wedding!
men and women always dance in separation (even during weddings); both are supposed to focus on the experience and not to showing off to the opposite sex...
Yvonne, regarde Rabbi Yaron Reuven Français ou French ( tu trouves des vídeos soustitrees en français). La qualité des shiurim est superbe! Tu troupes ce Rabbin dans Hidabroot, et il est recommendé par Tov Aliance.
Can I ask how so many people are there? Is everyone in connection with thier synagogue invited. Thats too many people for the couple to know personally isnt it.
With all the division in the world , im glad to just see some people keep unity... (not supporting or promoting the coming global elite one world order unity of humanity btw)
There has definitely been an increased interest in these communities and their traditions since the Netflix series Unorthodox was released. It’s always interesting to me to learn about other cultures and their traditions. My understanding (which is limited so I could be wrong) is that it’s considered “immodest” for females to appear in illustrations or films. I’m not sure about family photographs. If you look to the sides of the outdoor gathering, you can see some skirts moving but the picture is blurred. So there are women there, having their own party in a separate space. They’re probably having a blast with each other. And even though I may disagree with some things about the culture, it must be a very special moment for a bride to be honored in front of all the men of her community. A once in a lifetime experience. I think there is something sweet about all the men dancing for her entertainment.
As a Hasidic Jew myself I want to thank you for your positive feedback. Even though you said you might disagree with some of it, which is totally understandable.
they don't dance for the brides entertainment they dance for God. The bride is the eternal grail ready to bear more children for God.. .everything within the culture is about God...they live as Liviticus tells them too...for to honor and worship God. If you understand that the whole life is dedicated to God you understand why every facet of the culture is. The bride is a pure woman who has been given in marriage. The father holds the ribbon and dances around her and back and forth as a blessing to his daughter. Again it is all about God. In the case of this dance the women are present seated at tables together. After the dance the women will take the bride with them to the women's secluded party.... Once you understand that every action is a prayer to God...they strive to live within the laws they believe God gave them. In effect they are trying to negate Adam & Eve's wrong doing which is disobeying God, and then lying about it....
Jewish law indicates that women can not be seen by men other than their husbands or family when they are dancing or singing. I imagine that out of respect for this law was not shown / recorded video of the area of women. In addition women and men are divided by laws of modesty.
S U P R E M E Actually more Islamic than Arabic. Muslim religious families always delegate men and women. Arab weddings of Christians don’t separate men and women and non religious or at least more secular Arab families don’t separate. It’s more of a Muslim thing than Arab.
Actually, divorces do happen in the Hasidic community. They are rare and usually only happen without children or after the children are grown and married already.
The chosen people really know how to pull off a wedding celebration. May Adonai continue to bless everything they put their hands to.
This is very moving and inspirational. I don't think I could live that regimented a life, but for these people their ancient traditions are everything.

This is not the true Jewish, they are hasidic Jews some kind like a calt following a rebi, basically they called by the city their origin in east Europa
There are woman at this wedding, but they are in another area.
faigie2002 Yes. The kitchen!!
Very inclusive 😄
@@IrishAnnie Or the bedroom, or the washroom, or working to feed their husbands' religious studies. See, so "many" options.
these guys is not different than radical muslims
mete not even close in theology
I. Can’t believe this thing are still going on in 2020 ....
Joyful, thanks for sharing. Sea of men and one signal bride. Where are the women? Very beautiful
I started to watch this and thought to myself this guy must be a real mensch. Then I read he is the Rebbe's son. Well duh. That being the case I am surprised the turnout was so small. :-) Mazel Tov
The joy of seeing all these shtreitel and peyot

they need more space,, love the hat seems very worm... where are the ladies???
men and women always dance in separation (even during weddings); both are supposed to focus on the experience and not to showing off to the opposite sex...
and you thought only a rabbit could fit in those huge hats.
It looks like the dancing blue jacket and his young son are the main event.
damn these homies know how to throw a party! Thanks for sharing. They are weird, but I like it!

( tu trouves des vídeos soustitrees en français). La qualité des shiurim est superbe!
Tu troupes ce Rabbin dans Hidabroot, et il est recommendé par Tov Aliance.
Best part: when the Rebbe does the Mitzvah Tantz.
There are so many German dialects with different spellings and you waste your time calling out Yiddish? Makes no sense
Remember the crazy days when it was a brides special day?
I'd say those big hats they wear are really something!

Hola 👋🏻 Someone y TH-cam gracias 😊 💖
Can I ask how so many people are there? Is everyone in connection with thier synagogue invited. Thats too many people for the couple to know personally isnt it.
They're all related to one another.

Looks like fun! I can't understand what the men are saying but if invited I would go.

With all the division in the world , im glad to just see some people keep unity... (not supporting or promoting the coming global elite one world order unity of humanity btw)
as if that's a thing
@Jude Lion is there a particular name for the hats worn by the men
@@judelion8655 is there a particular name of the hats worn by the men is this like a standard uniform for a wedding 🎩
@@judelion8655 why do the men rock back and forth??
they don't dance for the brides entertainment they dance for God.
This algorithm is in my unconscious mind.
Who’s getting married that there’s so manny people !
I just want to Add : LOL HAAAAA HA HA HA HA HAaaa 🤣😂😂
Lots of young boys to hold hands with for the old rabbis, but not a single woman.
Jewish law indicates that women can not be seen by men other than their husbands or family when they are dancing or singing. I imagine that out of respect for this law was not shown / recorded video of the area of women. In addition women and men are divided by laws of modesty.
Same in Islamic and Arabic weddings
@@arzlebanon arabic maybe but not islamic
S U P R E M E Actually more Islamic than Arabic. Muslim religious families always delegate men and women. Arab weddings of Christians don’t separate men and women and non religious or at least more secular Arab families don’t separate. It’s more of a Muslim thing than Arab.

Actually, divorces do happen in the Hasidic community. They are rare and usually only happen without children or after the children are grown and married already.
