In time, and not that much time, the plywood you added will be rotted just like the plywood you removed. Water always gets past the fiberglass, either by permeation through the glass/epoxy matrix or mechanical leak paths and the wood rots.
Fiberglass cloth is useless no strength waste of time and money using the overpriced West systems there are other epoxies out there but isn't that overpriced like West system
Can u fold the epoxy over the corners like a surfboard seems easier and more water proof

It adds flexibility...
One layer of cloth is useless because it is so thin.
