That's why they put panels only on the bottom areas (not the actual hand railings), cut slightly smaller to prevent people from touching the edges and getting cut.
was it anodized aluminum you painted over? what paint did you use?? did you need to prime it? and how did it hold up? Id like to black out my fence rails as well
I have an idea. How about you mount some 1x2 to the top of the railing . It would also look nice.I am considering a project like this. You have inspired me.
Did you remove the rail slots that the old panel slide into that were on the railing before you put the new paneling on so the new panels would lay flat? I'm getting ready to do mine the same way only Burgundy and Charcoal grey rails.
@@Blackjack_focus_st3 Here is what I found out. www.rsaluminum.com/product/aluminum-sheets/ makes custom sheet metal orders and has both yellow and lime green available. It would be a little thicker than typical so it might be hard to radius if you have sharp bends. The Next option which might be easier and a little less expensive is a vinyl wrap. You can get this stuff from Amazon or eBay and seems like they have any color or design you could ask for. Hope this helps!
@@TJLawrence254 awesome thank you! I am looking at potentially do a pontoon rebuild series on my channel so trying to get an idea for things. I checked out some of your other videos too. Love what your doing with your channel! Hope the best! Feel free to reach out tbbuildsco@gmail.com
Thanks! I think you would really like to do the rebuild. It's been fun for me so far. Going to have to try to build some of those epoxy coasters you got.
great videos! Can I ask how the Painted railings has held up over the years? Looks so good
Looks awesome! Looking forward to the next video!
Great info. Thank you

I enjoyed this. It would be nice to see the end result more than just a quick picture at the end. Great job so far
Thanks for watching and your feedback! I didn't even realize I left that out!

Do you think the black railing was too hot in the summertime? I would love to do this but that’s my concern
Love the videos! Can I ask what were the specs of the rivets you used. I am wanting to attempt something similar.
Looks great but where did you get the aluminum ?
I got the aluminum from Everythingpontoon.com
do you have a link for the rv trim that you used?
Can i ask where you got the painted aluminum?
I got the paint from Home Depot.
I'm buying a pontoon in nice shape but wanna change the color scheme a lil
This would be a perfect way to change it up!
Hello. Just wondering how the black paint that you put on your fencing is holding up and if you did anything special to prep it.
It's holding up well. You'll need to sand the bare aluminum and use an aluminum primer.
How did you clean/re-finish the pontoons? They look nice!
Hi Scott, thanks for watching! Here's is the video on cleaning up the toons! th-cam.com/video/58HnbB0hDnE/w-d-xo.html
Where can I get some of this in yellow or lime green??? Please
Lime green would be an awesome color! I'll have to look around for that and let you know.
Definitely let me know... thanks man

Awesome project. Loving the series. I am curious on how much the aluminum sheet steel cost you?
I paid $370 for the sheets of aluminum. 60ft in total. Got them from Everythingpontoon.com
