They say the best days of our lives are our school days. It doesn't matter which school band club they belong to, those Japanese children have some wonderful happy memories to look back on don't they?
What a beautiful Mothers Day surprise, an outdoor marching performance from one of the best bands in Japan, and with all the layoffs due to Carona they haven't lost a thing. Really great to see the bands out in the fresh air again. I hope to see a lot more soon. You will note that the Japanese people are all still keeping it smart, by wearing masks in public to prevent the spread of the Carona Virus. Well done Japan.

4:45 the white hat lady is in the band’s path but she won’t budge, not for the flags, not for the trombones, not even for the photographers. 😂 5:58 another lady (blue hat) won’t move either. At 6:30 you can see both of them still on the band’s path.
It was lovely as always to see The Tachibana SHS Brass Band, but on this occasion, it was even lovelier to see the little fan in 'Orange Devils' uniform with her own little flag. I wonder if she has a brother or sister in the band. Perhaps one day she will join and become a senior player in a few year's time. It is also nice to hear the band singing world famous songs, presumably in Japanese (I can't hear it well enough to tell). This made me wonder if the students are taught what the lyrics or origins of all of the music are. I believe that the late Glen Miller looks down on them and is proud that they honoured him and his band by playing his music on such a grand scale.
Their are 3 young fans. They have been attending all predates and events as they can. The eldest is about ready for junior high and I think is aiming for Tachibana. They all play multiple instruments and if you go back to see penguin, she always high five or "drumsticked" them in parades.

The child protection laws rightly forbid us to try to contact the children, but I assume that you know these three. I am an almost 80 years old man who would hate to be thought of as a paedophile which I am NOT, but if you are in a position to talk to them and their parents, please say that an old Englishman would like to wish them every happiness and success in their futures. I will never recognise them when they join the band, but I think the youngest girl may be an up and coming new Yuina Mita drummer and it makes me wonder if O-VILS will let all of these young fans to play in a children's section of a new O-VILS' stage presentation one day. The 2022 DM of Kyoto Tachibana SHS Wind Marching Band is look like she is the tallest DM than any past DM and what her nickname and what instruments she plays? She probably if I’m not mistaken the last and only member from the last class of 2021
I believe you are correct; she is the tallest of DM's we have seen. She does catch the attention of those behind her. I also noted that the banner girls do a heck of a job of 'pushing" the crowd back. Nothing would be worse than getting knocked in the head by one of the flag girls.

70歳 昔の思い出浮かびます
今年もバスクラがパレードに使われるようですね。去年の別府で見たときはマーコン曲のためなのかと想像してましたが木管特有の音質が欲しいんでしょうね、自分も好きなんですが橘の振付行進で使いこなすのは大変だと感心します。平松先生の時のものは壊れたのか新しく購入されたようで音質へのこだわりを強く感じます。それに応える若者達。
楽器の中でも10kgある楽器をもろともせずパフォーマンスする部員さん達😍
そして先頭のボードも地味に重いと思いますがその重さも感じさせず😍
