    I've had the same issues since day one of owning the Ear (1)s. I've noticed that wiping off the metal contacts on the buds and in the case helps ensure that the earbuds disconnect and charge properly.

    I returned Nothing Ear 1 THREE times before finally getting different earbuds; two white and one black pair. I also had the charging issues but I could survive that. But twice, I had random connection issues when only one of them connected or these randomly disconnected in the middle of listening to music. And the third time, one of the earbuds completely died after a few weeks. Switched to Beats Fit Pro for a much higher price, but at least they sound better and I haven't had any issues 😄

    One of the headphones not charging happened to me multiple times, I've created a habit of double checking with led light and making sure they're pressed in the case. They also drop connection to reconnect straight away by themselves basically everyday. I got a pair of Pixelbuds pro with my Pixel 7 and I completely agree on the stem giving security.
    I had a pair of LG Tone Free earbuds before this, which also had the sticks on them, and those were smaller and lighter while fitting more secure.
    It was a genuine process of me having to get used to the pixepbuds and trusting them not to fall out when just walking, which they never did, but I shouldn't have to learn to trust earbuds to stay in. And it was also the only thing that made me want to return to my LG earbuds at all because they are inferior in every other sense.

    Had this issue where one of the earphones had no charge while the other had 100%. The reason is the design where the contact points do not charge until they are pressed to the expected level. So take the earphone that has less charge out of the case and let it snap magnetically like 2 mm from the contact points on its own. Just press them down into the contact points for a bit and leave for like 15 minutes and then they will be charged.

    Bought two pairs of them (black and white). The white ones that I've had since pretty much launch day always seem to never connect when I put the left one in first so I've kind of learned to start with the right one as a habit. They also struggle with touch sensitivity, sometimes registering an additional tap to pause when I'm only adjusting them or missing the third tap when I'm trying to skip.
    As for the black ones, one of them recently had a driver die on me suddenly. The volume was constantly around 50% lower than the other earbud, making both together essentially unusable. I returned that pair last week which is a shame because I really liked the look of the matte blacks over the glossy whites.
    Overall, not the greatest earbuds but at $100 they at least had the price/quality ratio going for them. There are better alternatives out there once you get to 150

      Powerbeats Pro are the best for sports... that's THE design that really takes sports, especially high intensity ones involving a lot of dynamic moves, really into consideration. I keep coming back to them, had three pairs: no touch panels that get messed up when you break into a sweat, no wobbling around, no falling off, decent sound, no painful pressure from wings... The only downsides are the case and connection pins, which aren't really reliable and sometimes you just end up with a dead bud, and some connectivity issue with one bud connecting to your phone and the other one staying silent (which is easily solved by putting in back in the case and taking out again)
      They should definitely update them with ANC and the latest tech, but the design is just the absolute best

The anc pressure feeling is odd but I suppose I'll get used to it. The bass is nice and the tones are full and punchy but I guess my expectation for spatial audio feeling like it should be 360 degree sound was set too high. They sound nice but TLDR: Sound good, bass good, ANC decent for reducing but not eliminating external sound, spatial audio = gimmick

    I had the same issues with my first pair of pixel buds, for the first few months everything was fine but then they started being at like 1% when I woke up in the morning. Turned out there was a manufacturing defect with the case and if they weren't aligned *perfectly* they just wouldn't charge. Luckily they refunded me them and everything is fine now, but it did make me very annoyed.

  • @kasrashirvanian5980
    @kasrashirvanian5980 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    That always happens to me , that is it's only problem honestly, at 99$ they were hands down the best value, and I believe they still worth 150 if this isssue didn't exist and also they had better battery in general

    • @Anankin12
      @Anankin12 ปีที่แล้ว

      They ain't worth 150, you literally can't use anc nor transparency if you're on a bike or just in the wind because the slightest wind noise will turn those features off.
      Like not change the settings, they just stop working.
      Also considering what they cost to manufacture and develop, nothing above 90 can be justified in any of these. Remember when the 100$ and 150$ airpods where the "rich kid's" pods?

  • @vishnuch3827
    @vishnuch3827 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have literally the same issue and I have no clue how to fix it. Even after I put the buds back in my case my left ear bud does not want to disconnect to my phone which in turn does not get charged and I end up waking up to a case 100% right 100% and left 10%. I was thinking my specific piece was the issue but now I know it is a wide spread issue and nothing surely needs to fix this before they release the stick 1 and more importantly before they bump the price up to whatever number that comes to their mind first.

  • @mjnmedia1
    @mjnmedia1 ปีที่แล้ว

    Ditched mine because of this problem. Case 100, left 100, right 0. The temp fix was to hold the connect button on the case for 30 seconds then wait for the right bud to charge. But having to do that EVERY time was a huge PITA. So toss.

  • @timlolxP
    @timlolxP ปีที่แล้ว

    I had mine since release, I haven't got that issue but I have the same weird connection message popping up even when the case is closed. Also, my bluetooth connection is pretty bad, when I'm walking around with my phone in my pocket it cuts out every 5-10 min. I can advise using Wavelet with project Auto Eq on Android, which improves the sound a lot.
    Still, they don't sound great, ANC is meh and transparency doesn't sound great but fit is good. For 99€ its okay, they were on sale for 60€ that's great value but for 150€ there are better options on the market.

    I have a set of Oneplus Buds Z, Sony XM3s and Pixel Buds A. I like the PBAs the most because the case fits in my pocket the easiest and they sound very good for the price I paid ($79). Pairing is always easy and they always charge properly. The Buds Z sound great for calls, but mediocre for music. They stay charging in the case but they only get 3 hours of battery life. The Sony's sound great, but not $280 great, the case is bulky af, and the power on/connected dialogue is obnoxiously long, causing me to miss the beginning of convos when i connect them.

    I've seen this issue with wireless buds where if the magnetic contacts are dirty, or if the buds are not sitting perfectly on the magnets, the buds won't charge. I wonder if that's the 10% problem you were experiencing.
    I have the One Plus Buds Pro, and they also stop randomly. The skin sensor is so sensitive, especially if I'm working out. Very frustrating.

    If you like the style of airpods but don't want to buy airpods you should try out denon ah-c830. I have them, because to me this style of earbuds is also the most comfortable for any kind of activity. No issues up until now, have them almost a year by now and they work great with my pixel. My issues would be: ANC is ok, but not great, no wireless charging, would love it if they had more bass.
