The Yamato behind him provide a better angle to shoot at, remember the US BB armor layout had been reworked in recent patch, make them better at bouncing shot from BB, especialy when you are bow on. And the New Orleans knew you are there, but he, honestly, in that situation, are basically fucked, no matter what he chose to do. XD
The "golden" rule is to not stay and camp in it, every smart captain that has torps will fire their torps into a enemy smoke, only use the smoke to retreat
Colorado is actually quite good. Competes well with Nagato. Used to be a trial to get through, though. North Carolina too for that matter. Used to be the worst tier 8 BB but is very good nowadays.
Colorado's flaw is being overmatched by 16" shells from any angle. Even with the imminent introduction of Scharnhorst and Gneisenau that characteristic of T7 BBs isn't changing anytime soon. Nagato arguably has it worst as it's possible to not only penetrate but also citadel her from virtually any angle. Colorado is hard to cit even when close to broadside.
the north carolina and Iowa are worth the colorado struggles. even more so now that they improved the armor hit boxes and the turret angles on the N. Carolina
+Navi atsf is Eurobeat who plays on the SEA servers. He's famous for his how to- guides and funtages. An inspiration for me and how I started my channel and videos.
I swear my Nurmberg had fuel bunkers full of T-stoff when I was sailing her...but whenever I shoot one now It seems like I only do 1000 damage (or worse, leave him on like 50 hp. I swear there's some line of code in the game that says I'm not allowed to do well)

BB hulls at T8+ will be immune to shells from more angles than they are not. If it's too difficult for you to figure out how to aim somewhere else on the ship that isn't so heavily-guarded or angled against your guns, then stay out of high-tier.

indeed. the coli has gone from a terribad ship to a ship you can damn near carry a lemon team with. I keep getting Krakens with it
