Man, when you look back at their early days, they had ZERO trust for one another. In comparison to Vox Machina's group dynamic, it was night and day. People were convinced that Caleb was gonna be the big bad in the end and they were always bickering. Teamwork was non existent. They were 7 people with their own self interest at heart aside from Jester who was always just as selfless and caring as we see now. (Except with healing spells. That took personal growth to get her to heal people) All of that shifted was when The Iron Shepherds kidnapped 3 members and killed Molly. Molly's death galvanized M9 into a family. One with closer ties and bonds than even Vox Machina. Vox Machina was the classic adventurers tale turned up to 11. With all the power, fanfare, riches, and fame as reward for defeating threats to the realm. It was great watching them grow as characters and also grow from a meta standpoint to be completely OP max level characters lol. But there's something really awesome about a group of friends so damn close that they were willing to go to the ends of the earth and even beyond just for the glimmer of hope that they could get their departed friend back. The friend who was the BBEG. They also dragged along the OTHER friend that was supposed to be a villain but they saw too much of themselves in to condemn. (Essek) They did all this without receiving a dime for their efforts. Hell, nobody even knows they saved the world and possibly ALL OF EXISTENCE! They don't even care about any of it though because like Veth said, "The only thing we have ever done consistently as a group is that we always help our friends." I started watching this campaign last year when the pandemic really reared its head and the fact that it’s over now feels surreal. Their story helped me get through so many hard days and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them and for campaign 3. Thank you for such a beautiful video to remember it by.
I'll miss them, and can't wait for every one shot we get in the future with them. Kind of hoping we get a new land in campaign 3 or now that he's built both continents landscape and people if he'd combine them in campaign 3, having some major tie in characters and events for both lands. The possibilities for campaign 3 are vast now, and although I will dearly miss The Mighty Nein, I already can't wait to see the next story and the characters they'll bring to life.
@@alvintollah That would be really cool. I think that may be where campaign 3 happens or they wind up there at some point. It is the only place we hardly know anything about and we haven't seen it yet as far as my memory serves. Matthew may want to flesh out his world more and that would be a great way to bring Kingsley (long may he reign) back into the fold assuming Taliesin plans to play him next. Also may pave a way for other characters who were at sea to reappear. Could on that note be where a final fight with Ukatoa *Ukatoa* takes place if he ends up coming back around. On the other side of that though, we've seen every continent but this one. It could purposely be being kept secret for a visit during campaign 3 taking place somewhere else or still be kept secret for a later campaign. Not sure exactly what Matt has planned. My assumption is Matthew is hoping for an at LEAST 5 campaign series, maybe 6. Assuming each campaign starts in and majority of it takes place in 1 continent, with the possibility of the last one being a broader campaign. Its been a little over 6 years since campaign 1 started, and by the time campaign 3 ends including the break between now and the start, it will be another 3 and a half to 4 years probably. Campaign 2 took about that time and this isn't assuming campaigns get longer and the stories get deeper. On this chart they'll do this for a total of 15 to 20 years. I would hope it doesn't end there though. Thats the magic of DnD, there is always a way forward and there is always a new story to tell. If it did end though, thats how I see it going and capping it off as the cast gets older. I could be totally wrong though , but I'm just spitballing. Thank you for joining me if you're still with my crack theories.
Having built my own vast world, I realized some time back that my players will only see about 10% (if that taking into consideration the underground and that even visiting a city doesn't unlock all the things going on that I created). I'm sure that's a big reason that Matt has had both campaigns take place in very different areas of his world, and I imagine he will keep doing so.
I've had some thoughts on C3: I feel like Exandria has been played out enough, and Matt's touched on plain-jumping, so it would be interesting to see them take a planes-hopping adventures route. I'm most definitely probably wrong, but it would still definitely be a fun thought and there's plenty in other planes for Matt to use, say possibly Vecna again if you've seen that stuff.
I just finished the second campaign for the first time some weeks ago and I have to say that this video has hurt me in a such beautiful way that I cannot explain. And thanks you espacially to Caleb, he helped me in a way that no other character has ever done

And finally...thank you to all the critters, wherever you are across the world, when it comes Thursday, we are all together, bound by love and passion for this incredible show..... we all maybe far right now...but we are mighty!!!
It's been a hell of a journey. But I'm glad I was here for it. Here's to Critical Role, The Mighty Nein, their allies and loved ones, the trials they went through, the tests that molded them into who they were always meant to be. A Family. A Family that left the world a better place than they found it. Thank you Matt, Liam, Sam, Travis, Laura, Taliesin, Ashley, and Marisha for letting us tag along for this tale that will not be forgotten.
It feels like just yesterday we were doing the silhouette watch and hyper analyzing the shapes to see who was playing who. Now suddenly the campaigns over and three years have come and gone. Just like Travis said, “Let’s do it again.” ♥️
I hadn't found critical role when campaign 1 ended. But coming into campaign 2, and watching the episodes several times as they continued to roll out and now sitting and watching the last one and knowing that there would be nothing more to watch when I was done, not even the Talks episode yet, made me feel so empty for the first time in a long time. There are so many things I could thank Critical role for, but there is nothing that hasn't been said before. Just... all the love to the crew, the players, to Matt and most of all, to the critters ❤❤
Many may not know the story of The Mighty Nein. They may not be celebrated like Vox Machina, but they are every bit as worthy. Thank you Mighty Nein, long may you reign
I am a broken man watching this. CR came along during a period of stabbing and intense loneliness and the warmth and love was infectious. Thanks for this little love letter.
"love is what makes people." everyday I learn more and more how wonderful and meaningful this sentence is. Thank you to everyone on the CR cast and crew, and the community, thanks to you all we have this wonderful piece of the world. Spreading love everyday, and even if by a little bit, leaving this world better than we found it. 💜
I'm not ready for the Mighty Nein's story to be over! I was late to the game (started during quarantine) and felt I would never catch up. I never expected to get so invested in these people and their stories. It was a hell of a ride, Mighty Nein. Thanks for bringing us along.
I didn't think this video would get me so emotional, but wow! What a ride Mighty Nein, and now you are finally The Mighty Nine. I will miss you all, but appreciate all the excellent story telling we saw, thank you Matt and company!
Campaign 1 was all about a group of people that wanted to be heros. Campaign 2 was about a family and the lengths you go to protect the ones you love. Vox Machina was a delight to watcj because it felt like you were watching the rise of a legend, men and women becoming gods and stopping evil. The Mighty Nein... they're your childhood buddies back home. The people you keep visiting and enjoying the company of, even if you don't do anything. They're the people who you would fall on a sword for because they would do the same for you. They're your best friends. And dammit if it really didnt feel like that the whole journey through. Once you're in the Mighty Nein, you're in for good. Lol i'm crying
I haven't seen C1 yet, this was my first time watching a full CR Campaign... I cannot count the number of times I had tears running down my face, or a laughed myself into an asthma attack. It's hard to believe it really is over, this chapter closed. I never thought I would find myself so encapsulated with a D&D campaign.. but here i am... in tears watching these flashbacks...
I would also like to say, Thank you, Nico, the love you pour into these videos is really tangible and makes it so much easier to enjoy these amazing moments again and again
Seven months later and we are in Campaign 3 with different characters on a different continent. I cannot help but come back to re-visit TM9 and realize we were watching a super duper band of every day kind heroes who stole our hearts as we lived their RPG lives in real time. The Mighty Nein made us laugh and cry in equal ratios and when the story finally wrapped, it was like the classic American Western; our heroes riding off in the sunset. Tears of joy and happiness. Hey Nico, brilliant work! Love it all!
I haven't finished the last ep, but gdi here I am, bawling like a babe. Thank YOU, Nico, for capturing the highlights of each ep. Also shout out to flando for timestamps on each youtube post, making it easier to go back and watch certain events over and over again.
I originally found Critical Role through friends when I was down low, on the long road of healing from depression. Still learning how to live, feeling alone and miserable. I managed catch up when the episodes were still in the 30s, and ever since then I have been there, every week of a new episode without a fail. The Mighty Nein have been there, giving something to look forward to on the worst days, helping to keep the darker thoughts at bay. Both Mighty Nein and Vox Machina have kept me company in my work, through the hard days when everything has been so heavy and the weight too much to bear. The affection and endless love of the cast for each other has pushed me towards recovery, of finding wonderful people who love me the way I am. They let me re-find roleplaying games, Matt helping me realize how I actually could survive being a DM and encouraged me to start my own campaign with friends, with whom I share the deep love for the story we are experiencing, even 1,5 years and over 30 sessions in and still going strong. As I finished the final episode today, looking back I realized how far I've gotten alongside the Mighty Nein. I've managed quit meds and instead of giving up on my degree I'm close to graduation, passionate about what I do. I live in a place that finally feels like home and my outlook on life is much more stable. I'm actually beginning to be happy more often than not. I am forever grateful, and oh so, so happy, that I got to grow alongside the Mighty Nein.
I can't believe I've been watching these dorks every week for THREE YEARS. They've come so far and grown so much. The last episode was so satisfying yet still left many empty slots for both the fans and future characters to explore. I loved every second of this campaign and will miss every single member of the Mighty Nein wholeheartedly. I'm so excited for campaign 3. It's going to be a wild ride y'all.
Some ppl have been asking for smaller campaigns but im not sure how a small campaign could invoke these kinds of feelings that are being built on top of one another over multiple years. Hundreds of hours well spent.
What I love about these end of campaign compilations is that while they all share some similiar moments, each one has such a variety that provides a different feeling. They are all beautiful and like each of the Nein, each has a place among the rest.
What a amazing montage video Nico! But you do amazing things with all your video's, I am so glad you included that goblin bit, that makes me laugh every time!
I don't know how you compress three years into 5 minutes, but this was brilliant. I'll start the finale tonight, but I will keep coming back so it never truly ends. Can't wait for campaign 3
Thank you Nico. Thanks for making these amazing videos and highlighting the most amazing, emotional and awesome moments from a wholly awesome campaign, that was the story of the mighty nein! Thank you.
Nico. I have NEVER in MY ENTIRE LIFE cried over a movie, series or book. When Matt cried, I got close. Your tribute has made me sob and shed tears. Thank you. Thank you so much. That was beautiful.
I feel like everyone who watches CR has learned something from this campaign. The biggest thing I have learned was acceptance and renewal. Acceptance that things happen and renewal into something much greater. TM9 I will miss you, and your lessons will live on.
Man it feels weird that campaign 2 is over. It feels like it was just yesterday they were visiting the circus for the first time. Gonna miss these crazy crazy characters. :) That being said, I'm excited to see what madcap ideas they choose to play next. The circle of life continues!
Man, can’t wait for Campaign 3. 2 was a fucking ride man. 1 was great and funny, but 2 I got to watch these characters from the ground up and it’s even more emotional that way. Here’s hoping next campaign the Mighty 9 are referenced at some point somehow.
My intro to Critical Role was the Search for Grog one shot, then I stuck around for campaign two. Granted they were already about 20 or so episodes in when I started, but I quickly caught up, and eagerly devoured each new episode. I have laughed, cried, been shocked by some unexpected reveal, and pretty much fell in love with every single one of these characters. While I anxiously await what comes next, the Mighty Nein will always hold a special place in my heart. Long may they reign.
This chapter may have ended in the Tales of Exandria. But the Story never ends, as long as we all remember it, and continue to experience it. To the Mighty Nein! Caleb: "I'm either a clown or a toad-killer. Let's see what it is." Veth: "Fluffernutter!" Fjord: "I'm the only one thinking about this." Jester: "I'm not afraid of dicks!" Mollymauk: "I am your God! Long may I reign!" Yasha: "I smell like a crayon." Beauregard: "Sorry, I found your cuteness alarming." Caduceus: "A god is just a cult with a franchise." Essek: "Maybe you should try friends sometime." LONG MAY THEY REIGN!
This compilation really had me in tears. I will miss the Mighty Nein so much, but I am so grateful to have witnessed this beautiful story. They will always have a special place in my heart.
Thank you for this. I'm crying all over again. And thank you for putting in the moment between Caleb and Essek, him passing on the support Molly gave him. Damn I love this game!!!
CR Campaign 2 was a classic, CLASSIC example of a perfect campaign. Loss, gain, victory, and one of the hardest fights I have ever seen a party NOT get TPK'd in at the climax. That entire campaign is a masterclass for both GM's and players alike.
When I was watching this finale I couldn't help but be reminded of the Adventure time finale. It seems unforgiving when a good thing ends But you and I will always be back then You and I will always be back then, Will happen, happening happened Will happen, happening happened And we'll happen again and again 'Cause you and I will always be back then
I'm actually reminded of the end of "A Very Potter Sequel" by Team Starkid (rewritten by me to fit CR, of course) "Can you believe we only spent 141 Episodes with Critical Role this time?" "Yeah, but that's what makes it so special. Sure we have to without for the Summer. But imagine how... how totally awesome going back's gonna be. Until then, we've got to go back to mundane life. People there will try to tell us that this wasn't real. That none of this happened. But you know what? It was real. It did happen. We spent time here. We made friends here. It's a part of us. Critical Role is bigger than any of us. It's bigger than any of its founders. And it's going to be around long after we're gone. Maybe we'll see our kids watch it one day. That's the thing about Critical Role... No matter how long you're away from it, there's always a way back."
I was scared of the enormity of catching up with campaign 1 despite being highly recommended by friends, so I began my Critical Role journey with campaign 2 and the Mighty Nein (of course once I realised how easy it was to consume I quickly watched all of campaign 1 waiting for new episodes of campaign 2) just beautiful, wholesome, funny, creative, talented and moving... I can't begin to do justice to the cast and crew. Excited for the campaign wrap up Talks
What a emotional finale. I cried tears of joy for everyone. But when Matt cried at the end it broke me. Of course they were tears of joy for the characters and players. This i snot the last we have seen of the Mighty 9 just as we are still with Vox Machina characters to this day. I am very very excited for Campaign 3. I can not wait to see what the crew has in store for us this time. However I believe it might be until August/September before Campaign 3 begins. Lets give them the time they need to relax, spend time with family, and recharge. They have earned it.
Here’s to C3 and many missed live shows due to the pandemic. Also the reemergence of guests that partook on the journey. Many Many more years to come. Enjoy the ride.

I'm most definitely probably wrong, but it would still definitely be a fun thought and there's plenty in other planes for Matt to use, say possibly Vecna again if you've seen that stuff.
the mighty nein will go down as one of the greatest pieces of media ever produced. literally every emotion
You know what's sad... that Molly never came back.
"That's not me" man....
I just finished the second campaign for the first time some weeks ago and I have to say that this video has hurt me in a such beautiful way that I cannot explain. And thanks you espacially to Caleb, he helped me in a way that no other character has ever done
They didn't just leave a place, or towen, or city better then where they found it...The mighty Nine left the world better then where they found it!
Thank you Sam for the wonderful laughs and bravely that Veth provided
Thank you Travis for leadership that Fjord provided
Thank you Laim for the heartbreaking but beautiful mind and magic of Celeb
Thank you Talsien for the wit , wisdom and joys that both Molly and Cad provided
Thank you Laura for the endless chaotic laughter and wonderful imagination that Jester provided...and Dicks!!!
Thank you Ashley for showing strength and kindness of protection, and what family is though Yasha
Thank you Marisha for showing how to rebel anginst authority and bring light to corruption with both fists and words though Beauregard
thank you to the crew behined the sceens that make this possible every Thursday to watch this show and provide quality sound, lighting and everything in between
And of course..thank you Matt for making this journey a wonderful, beautiful, terryfing, tearjerking, emotional, hearlouis and heroic adventure that you crafted that we critters will never forget!!! Thank you.
There's still one Talks Machina to go. They have the Campaign 2 Wrap-Up yet to do. Also, VM vs M9.
Many may not know the story of The Mighty Nein. They may not be celebrated like Vox Machina, but they are every bit as worthy. Thank you Mighty Nein, long may you reign
I wished we had footage of chat during 140 where we all wrote "thank you" in sequence with cognoza.
I am a broken man watching this. CR came along during a period of stabbing and intense loneliness and the warmth and love was infectious. Thanks for this little love letter.
Long may they reign, the Mighty Nein.
From the sea, to the forest, may all that hear of their tale be blessed
And, is it Thursday yet?
Never clicked so fast. I love this campaign so much.
I know right
"love is what makes people."
everyday I learn more and more how wonderful and meaningful this sentence is. Thank you to everyone on the CR cast and crew, and the community, thanks to you all we have this wonderful piece of the world. Spreading love everyday, and even if by a little bit, leaving this world better than we found it. 💜
1:37 Hands down funniest NPC alongside Victor.
I love them so much. I'm gonna miss them but I can't wait for what the future holds
I can't wait to see what's in store for campaign three with these loveable goofballs
Genuinely, these guys helped me through Covid better than the government.
Thank You Nico!!!
Music speaks more than words best time ever hope they are around for 1 more campaign
Some ppl have been asking for smaller campaigns but im not sure how a small campaign could invoke these kinds of feelings that are being built on top of one another over multiple years.
Hundreds of hours well spent.
There's no reality in which I'd miss this campaign so goddamn much.
Lets do it again
All the best moments of campaign 2. God I missed them so much 😭
Its so weird seeing the audience at that live show after the m9 reunion in the uk with 12.900 people. God the difference
What I love about these end of campaign compilations is that while they all share some similiar moments, each one has such a variety that provides a different feeling. They are all beautiful and like each of the Nein, each has a place among the rest.
Thank you to the cast & crew for letting us, the Critters, share in this wonderful fandom. It means SO much to be able to connect with people.
What a amazing montage video Nico! But you do amazing things with all your video's, I am so glad you included that goblin bit, that makes me laugh every time!
Forever thank you mighty nein/ critical role for saving my life
This video is SO BEAUTIFULLY put together
3 years, and the team kept true to leaving everywhere better than they found it.
Long may they reign. Thank you, Mighty Nein.
Thank you.
I WAS THERE AND IT HURTS MY SOUL
I hate good byes... Until our friends return... I will hold the line.
Nico. I have NEVER in MY ENTIRE LIFE cried over a movie, series or book. When Matt cried, I got close. Your tribute has made me sob and shed tears. Thank you. Thank you so much. That was beautiful.
So who's ready for Campaign 3
I feel like everyone who watches CR has learned something from this campaign. The biggest thing I have learned was acceptance and renewal. Acceptance that things happen and renewal into something much greater. TM9 I will miss you, and your lessons will live on.
This is a beautiful trailer if anyone asks "so what is campaign 2"
your content never fails to make me smile, thank you so much for this beautiful compilation
I am cry.
Man it feels weird that campaign 2 is over. It feels like it was just yesterday they were visiting the circus for the first time. Gonna miss these crazy crazy characters. :) That being said, I'm excited to see what madcap ideas they choose to play next. The circle of life continues!
this is so beautiful i just wish it also included all the thank yous from cognouza
Thank You Mighty Nein and thank you Nico, for your highlight videos and for this amazing tribute.
Man, can’t wait for Campaign 3. 2 was a fucking ride man. 1 was great and funny, but 2 I got to watch these characters from the ground up and it’s even more emotional that way.
Here’s hoping next campaign the Mighty 9 are referenced at some point somehow.
How dare you make me cry again. What a wonderful compilation
Long May They Reign!! Thank you MN
such a good story...such wonderful characters... thank you Mighty Nein
This is the first MN tribute video to make me cry. Seeing all those pics and tweets at the end broke me
Long may they reign
This chapter may have ended in the Tales of Exandria. But the Story never ends, as long as we all remember it, and continue to experience it. To the Mighty Nein!
Caleb: "I'm either a clown or a toad-killer. Let's see what it is."
Veth: "Fluffernutter!"
Fjord: "I'm the only one thinking about this."
Jester: "I'm not afraid of dicks!"
Mollymauk: "I am your God! Long may I reign!"
Yasha: "I smell like a crayon."
Beauregard: "Sorry, I found your cuteness alarming."
Caduceus: "A god is just a cult with a franchise."
Essek: "Maybe you should try friends sometime."
LONG MAY THEY REIGN!
What are these tears? Why am I ugly crying right now?
I bet that I have seen each clip a thousand times. I will be fine.
Me at 00:01: Already crying.
All the way teary, from beginning to end.
Oh man, I don't think I had quite processed that it was over until just now. Thank you, Nico, for this amazing gift today.
When I was watching this finale I couldn't help but be reminded of the Adventure time finale.
It seems unforgiving when a good thing ends
But you and I will always be back then
You and I will always be back then, Will happen, happening happened
Will happen, happening happened
And we'll happen again and again
'Cause you and I will always be back then
I'm actually reminded of the end of "A Very Potter Sequel" by Team Starkid (rewritten by me to fit CR, of course)
"Can you believe we only spent 141 Episodes with Critical Role this time?"
"Yeah, but that's what makes it so special. No matter how long you're away from it, there's always a way back."
oh no here come the tears again
I love this so much
Niiiicooooooo
so much for my eyes being dry
I was scared of the enormity of catching up with campaign 1 despite being highly recommended by friends, so I began my Critical Role journey with campaign 2 and the Mighty Nein (of course once I realised how easy it was to consume I quickly watched all of campaign 1 waiting for new episodes of campaign 2) just beautiful, wholesome, funny, creative, talented and moving... I can't begin to do justice to the cast and crew. Excited for the campaign wrap up Talks
This brought so many good memories back! THANK YOU MIGHTY NEIN!!!
"Clapping" great work and thank you
Such a wonderful tribute! Thank you for this lovely video! 💖
Thank you, Nico Neilson
Well, that made me cry, thanks x
Here’s to C3 and many missed live shows due to the pandemic. Also the reemergence of guests that partook on the journey. Many Many more years to come. Enjoy the ride.
