It’s honestly the only reason I’m considering watching a couple of cuckoos again. I didn’t like Lindsey Sheppard as Erika Amano but she is killing it as Akari Watanabe.

In all fairness I think Jiro is actually less dense in this regard than Sakura. But both characters need a reason in the story for why they're not together with the girl, otherwise you wouldn't have a story. In more than Married thats Shiori, in Uzaki that's Sakura being denser than a brick. But Jiro is way more open about his feelings, so I think he should be able to get the deed done before the end of season 2.

I think the manga atm is way too close to the ending of the season, this got an anime pretty early i think theres only like 40 chapters, but yes we NEED A SEASON 2
the more I watch these dubbed clips of anime the more I realize I made the right decision going with subtitles. This shit is so cringe in english but in japanese it completely removes the effect. Probably because of the voice actors
The problem with dub anime is that American voice actors try to sound like an anime character in anime, but people don't realize is that in sub that's how the Japanese voice actors sound irl. So their trying to match the tone and voice as another person which makes dub seem unnatural and weird sometimes

It does get confusing sometimes on how Akari is really like to Jiro since it could be either her being a mega tease or she’s genuine with him (showing disregard to her former crush Minami). It’s clear and quite obvious that Akari is definitely in love with Jiro, it’s just that she’s not being honest to him.😭 Oh yeah, just on a recent episode, I don’t think anyone should call Jiro “dense” because he’s aware of Akari’s actions and what she wants from him, making Jiro himself tell her “It makes you sound like a jealous girlfriend”. Akari adorably denies it, though.🫢😆
