Awesome work. This was my Grandfather's P-51 paint scheme - Donald F Vulgamore. He was from Jasper Ohio. I still have his Piper Super Cub he bought after getting home from the war.
Met Don and his wife on their visit to England in 1976 took them to Bottisham and Little Walden and showed them round,he even got to meet his wartime girlfriend!.

Beautiful p51! Though, at those RPM's, the plane should be moving faster. I suspect you need a more effiicient prop, like a Falcon CF 24x10. And it would look better, too.
Very beautiful and detailed model, for everyone commenting on the sound, prop and engine, this is a scale flying model and unfortunately there are compromises that a modeler must face. Nobody is made of money.
It's one of the first P-51s that has gear doors that cycle like the real deal. Great model and great flying.

Very nice. Lovely convincing weathering. She looked a little sluggish during the aeros compared to your own P51? Man, so many tailwheel aircraft ground loop on landing on tarmac - must put some serious stress on that lovely gear...

Great detailing, good flying, and it made it down in one piece. Kudos. Yes, one can nit-pick about the prop and exhaust sound. I reckon you'll just have to sit down in your mini-machine shop and hand make a 1/4 scale functioning Merlin? lol

Very nice bird. I don't find the motor noise objectionable... it's a lot better than the high pitched SCREEEE of an electric.
G’day Pete a really beautiful scale model and terrific weathering make it a real eye catcher, but the prop isn’t right it would look even better with a four or three blade on her instead of a bloody wooden one pity. John
thanks john, unfortunately the 75cc petrol engine would not produce enough power to fly this model on a scale four blade prop, at best it would just taxi down the run way - with this shape nose there is not a powerfull enough engine that would fit inside it to turn a scale four blade prop unlike say a radial moki 250cc - 500cc that can be fitted into say a corsair, you could fit a twin cylinder four stroke in her but the four blade prop would be nowhere scale looking im afraid !

no not a true scale per size but 75cc engine should spin a Beila semi scale 4 blade 23 x 10 around 5800-6000 rpm and look pretty dang nice and they pull alot of air nicely and are balanced about as nice as they come.

I dont mind the two stroke sound crusher but the four stroke kolmm twin cylinder engines sound better !

Unless these guys are huge that plane does not have a wingspan of over nine feet. It looks more like 1/6 scale.

while a 2 blade prop is most efficient maybe he is getting things worked out before going to a 4 blade. everyone knows a 3 blade isnt correct mate
nope chris ! the 3 75cc will not have enough power to turn a scale four blade prop - that is the correct prop for the engine, she was playing up on this day
Tell this pilot to be bit more careful with his dangling neck strap white priming that prop.
