hey Show More and mobile folks. have you ever been in this situation??? so relatable huh? and also everything they're saying is also a situation you've been in, right?
can i borrow ten billion views
Yeah gimme a few minutes fam, I gotchu
I would like this returned.
That depends. Are you going to return the 28221.7 years this would take?
make sure to give them back, haha
Hilarious - both the vid and this comment. Good job Phil
A Phil Jamesson sketch where neither person is the straight man is utter chaos.
But also somehow both characters are the straight man as well. I don't know how he does it
Finding out that he is a waiter is just the best. It totally redefines the conversation and makes. Everything so much sillier. Why did the man bring paper to dinner? Why wouldn’t the waiter have paper why would he think of asking? I had to type that out just so i understood why on so so many levels its so good and yet i knew why in the moment. Phil is truly a master and keeps getting better
I was already enjoying the back and forth, didn't foresee a twist. Perfect as usual.
if everyone foresaw the twist, we'd have to call it a normal
@@PhilJamesson good point. Thank goodness we don't have to do that, then we couldn't enjoy your genius.
Ending a comedy bit is more challenging than most people think. Phil does a good job.
@@PhilJamesson wow, this level of pedantry reminds me of something I just watched.
@@PhilJamesson Imagine there being some place, perhaps in a cybernetic space of a web-like structure, where that's the normal way of having a dialogue...
How weird would that be?!
That thumbnail is genius
Hey Phil. One of the things I've noticed about your videos is that they are funny and I like them. Thank you.
good eye vince
Hey halfblake. I had the same observation! Great minds think alike :)
I can't count the number of times I've gone to a restaurant with extra pieces of paper and the waiter asked me to borrow one
You've really got the pacing/editing of conversations with yourself down to a science. The paper handoff was also seamless I forgot it was just an editing trick for a second.
It was so good that I forgot it was only one person
Phil, the weather has been crazy where i live. It's been awfully hot, but it's a dry heat!
^Just doin my part to keep society glued together
Oh, the weather has been crazy? So we should admit it into some kind of mental hospital? Is that what you're saying?
thank you for your service samuel
I first watched Phil because I felt mocked and challenged by his handsome face and I continue watching Phil because behind that handsome face is the most consistently funny brain on TH-cam
Some version of this entire exchange happens in my head every time I try to talk to a new person.
also when I say "you too"
Now that sketch was perfection, riveting from start to finish. I was grinning at that biting quick-witted dialogue, awesome job!! :D
That is the absolute hardest I've laughed in months, what an amazing punchline
Didn't even bother to ask if he was working hard or hardly working. Monster.
It's a hot day. Damn hot. Leaf fell in my water, made a cup of tea before I could pluck it out. No wonder these guys are so mad.
The philosophy, the drama, the Jamesson.
and then they kissed
It could happen
Brilliant sketch as always plus that thumbnail is so darn aesthetic
Next time I'm at work and need to write down an order I'm totally asking the guest if I can borrow a piece of paper.
You know what is the glue that holds food together? Butter.
Amen, fair stranger
The plot thickens. You gonna talk about everything we accepted without thinking? This is amazing
I still laugh at this every single time. The writing and performance is so rock solid
Actually applauded irl at the end, fantastic video.
wow the video is titled "can i borrow a piece of paper?" but he clearly says "Could I borrow a piece of paper", what a blunder he's never going to live that down
OMG that punchline was so fucking perfect.
I was starting to get stressed out until the punchline. Awesome skit as usual. :)
Love the M. Night Shyamalan twist
I used to be really pedantic about this as a kid, not in a mean way but i was just really trying to figure out the right way to say it, so i determined that have means you can keep the object, use means you'll keep it for a short amount of time, like one task, and then give it back, and borrow means you'll keep it for a couple of days and then give it back. So thanks for catering a video specifically for me for your birthday Phil
This is a perfect demonstration of how my sister and I communicate.
Lol! That punchline is **chef's kiss**
*dang*!
I know it's a cliche, but *that* escalated quickly.
Happy Birthday! And FINALLY a video I relate to. I was beginning to think I was alone.
this video contains humanity's most perfect punchline
interactions like this are why i quit twitter
gotta be one of my recent favorites, good one Phil.
also happy birthday, or I guess, I am wishing that you have a happy birthday
You are a funny and creative man mr phil. Id say you have talent but i feel that word takes away from the hard work and dedication.
This is why I always ask to steal things instead
A sketch so nice, I had to watch it twice
I didn’t know Reddit had a restaurant now.
More like papertizers amirite? You know, like paper, appetizers? idk, being among the first commenters is a lot of pressure.
one of my favorite endings
Phil, you've never made a video I don't like
Conflict asks for Resolution but more Conflict ensues, miring what could have been a stroll in the park of pleasantries into the quicksand that is: The Days of our Lives.
Lmao, that's the best one I've seen in a long time
Ah, I see you decided to show the people what a video that could literally have been 15 seconds shorter without losing any comedy looks like.:)
Except, well, that's a reference to your last video, and a joke. Which means there would have been a loss if it was 15 seconds shorter. But then it doesn't work as an example anymore... I'm stuck in a paradox!
given that all the jokes that people are enthusiastically commenting on are in the last 15 seconds of the video, i am gonna have to disagree with you on this one nath
@@PhilJamesson I am unsure if you've acknowledged Nath's reference to the 15 second "SUBSCRIBE" outro or not.
dang this one was tight
Mmm, love to start a meal with a heaping helping of discourse. Hope you had a wonderful birthday!
we say borrow for things like paper, money, and food because those things are fungible. which means it has to ability to be replaced with an identical copy.
Brilliant ending. Made me actualol.
You do endings very well.
Ha I bet that server wants to 'borrow' a tip too
That ending was brilliant
The birthday boy made a funny-haha video 🥳🎂🎁🎈
your twists are the best
I feel like I just watched an internet comment thread
Brilliant stuff today Phil
Second best plot twist after hurricane Katrina
happy birthday phil i hope u have a nice day
So, speaking as a guy who's a Marxist who's friends mostly with other nerdy ass Marxist, this is pretty much how every one of our conversations go. This really spoke to me.
An end card?!
as a treat
Yesssss Phil! This is good. I am proud.
One of your best ones!
Great paper, Phil
War is hell
Holy fuck that sucker punch line
wtf is the length to width ratio of this piece of paper?
Phil
Another fuckin slam dunk phil
One of your best.
how are you this good this always?
Tight script, great delivery.
Well done
Why am I recommended this so early? So weird. But thanks YT.
