what did you use to fabricate the puller head. I have a Case JX55 with the same seal and bushing and would like to fabricate a "LIKE KIND" puller, but would be a help to have dimensions of puller head and keeper. did you Cnc the head or was it a part that can be found without machining.

Thanks for watching the video. I have a lathe so the puller head was turned to just go thru the part. i will get it and make a sketch of it for you. The all thread is 1/2 -13 the flat down the side was to hold it over to one side and lock it in the grove. The keeper was part of a old butter knife you can see part of the design still on it.

ok, I fabricated the tool and got the bushing out but now I'm wondering how you pressed the bushing back in. it is a very tight fit. I'm sure it will require some sort of press to press it in. just looking for suggestions as to how to reinstall the bushing.

@@swbeene0747 after I installed the seal in the part I slide it over the shaft and use the shaft to line up the part. I then slide one of the spacers over the shaft and use a hammer to seat the part back in place. the shaft keeps the part lined up as you hammer it in. good luck Roger email me at RLoveC1@aol.com

Where did you find the seal to replace them? I can’t find it on the internet anywhere

Once the tool drops in behind the seal could I drive the shaft back trough driving the seal out?

yes you could drive the shaft up against the tool and drive the part holding the seal out. I did not know how tight the part was pressed in and did not want to damage the shaft.

The hydraulic fluid is the gear oil in your transmission rear end. Mine has a dip stick in the fill hole.
