@@ultimategeromer I totally get that. Lately they’ve mainly just done breakdowns for Hip-Hop tracks which is getting real repetitive real fast, and half of them don’t even sound particularly advanced or impressive, half the breakdowns from Kanye West for example don’t even sound particularly innovative, complex or inspiring. So it’s nice when a breakdown of a song from another genre comes along.

Fun fact, zero-g also first company beside crypton (who made miku) release vocaloid before they were even popular, they mostly released English vocaloids.
weird to see jet set radio on a track-lib style video but OMG AM I HERE FOR ITT also love the small detail of you using sample packs rather than the actual place they came from. it feels more accurate to where naganuma actually got the samples thas so cool
i remember flipping thru zero g samples and hearing a ton of the samples that are in the jet set radio soundtrack. never got around to recreating any songs but im glad you made this. nice job 👍
cool thing is that you can find lots of the og sample cds online now, I just went down the silent hill OST rabbit hole and probably have some of those sample as well xD
(Apologies for the potential duplicate comment) Thank you so much for this! Imma use this as a learning resource for how to use samples creatively and integrate them into a specific style!
this video was very difficult to make, and i could find every sample, thats why it sounds pretty incomplete, i tried my best tho.
bro this breakdown is already better than tracklib's lol, dw about it
@@ultimategeromer thanks man!
You don’t say. Still, it’s an impressive breakdown, like a breakdown of “Face to Face” from Daft Punk.

Naganuma is an insanely underrated producer, his style is unmatched
In what universe is this icon of funk “underrated”?
@@lrgogo1517 in that he has fans, but isnt nearly as recognized globally as the likes of more contemporary artists. when was the last time you heard hideki on the radio?
A lot of the Zero G samples true sources are from other songs (e.g. The "Looking Out My Window" grunt and the "Gett Off" scream).
very true, i haven't looked into it for this video tho since it already is a big project
It IS the scream from Gett Off, isn't it? I thought it sounded like Prince.
I think one of them is the slide from the intro of 'Opposites Attract' by Paula Abdul too
Yes, but most producers of the era got them from Zero G sample CDs
HOLY SHIT YEAH THATS FROM GETT OFF
More proof that sampling’s an artform
You need to learn about trackers
When it's not looping an uncleared song of someone who barely makes half of what you have and add some drums over it.

The one at 0:10 is from Opposites Attract by Paula Abdul and MC Skat Kat
I have always loved Naganuma style, thanks for sharing this video. Those samples CD's got some heat!!!
Naganuma-san sure is a genius when it comes to sampling.
Those 90s sample kits were so awesome
The sampling is crazy how he got elements of like 10 diff tracks and it just works
I wish there were more videos like these with that final demonstration of all the samples at work at once, amazing stuff
This must have taken AGES to track down all of the samples, I applaud this level of dedication 👏 well worth subscribing
