- Two weeks of mayhem are now wrapped up in a gross cherry on the 2024 UIL State Marching Band Championships! Let's give each conference their due and talk about why this year, from top to bottom, was unlike any other cycle of State Marching Band Championships here in the State of Texas!!!

This Davenport season was exceptional and we're hyped for next season! Love how you cover underrepresented divisions!
Go Bridgeland! It was an amazing week for our program-finals (11th) at UIL State and then finals (7th) at BOA Grand Nationals! We are the first Cy-Fair ISD band to advance to GN Finals! So thrilling! Thank you for your support and fantastic commentary. It was definitely an encouragement to all our kids, but especially my son (the solo snare that started the show) and our amazing percussion section.
Thank you for your years of dedication to the marching band community. When my son was a freshman, I remember how excited I was to read your posts about his band’s performances at BOA and UIL. It was such a great way to learn how others viewed not only his band but others as well.
Now that he’s a junior, I still deeply appreciate your comments and insights.
I’m sure I’ll tune in to Wednesday’s show, but I wanted to take a moment to wish you the best of luck in everything you do-and congratulations on the new addition to your family (if I remember correctly from TXBands-I hope I’m not imagining that! 😂).
