- “If, by the mere guidance of nature, infidels are so prone to love their own, what must we think of those who are not moved by any such feeling? Do they not go even beyond the ungodly in brutality? …For, if any have degenerated from that which is so perfectly natural, he ought to be regarded as a monster.” -John Calvin
This sermon is an absolute gift to the Church. It is exactly the kind of teaching our people desperately need right now during this civilization-wide plague of disordered affections. In 3 hours, I'm going to leave for the evening service at my home church, where I will listen to my pastor exegete the parable of the Good Samaritan... a sermon I'm sure will be excellent in its own right. But I will be shocked if he so much as hints at an ordo amoris when it comes to "love thy neighbor." How often is that passage used to justify an indiscriminately egalitarian approach to Christian charity at the expense of those closest to us?
Which is these three was neighbor to the fallen man? The one who had mercy on him. Who is your neighbor? When did Jesus answer "all of them"?
"How often have I said that the father of a family should know that it’s his first duty in nature to look after his own children? But that doesn’t mean that he wants to hurt or to injure other children! On the contrary, you would do them any good turn that you can. And our attitude was always the same. Our first duty was to our own people, our own British and European peoples. But in addition to that, of course we would do what we could to help other people as well.” - Sir Oswald Mosley
So you are quoting a Fascist, who admired Mussolini and Hitler?
@unclejohnbulleit2671, remember the blind squirrel
@@unclejohnbulleit2671 Remember too that the original definition of “fascist” simply meant a European nationalist who opposes Bolshevism. I certainly fit that description, if nothing else. I also try not to commit genetic fallacies by dismissing what is said just because of who said it. Even villains occasionally utter aphorisms with which any reasonable man would wholeheartedly agree. So tell me, what of Mosley’s words here do you find objectionable? That is the real question.
@@theMolluskMan find someone better to quote. Hitler was guest of honour at Mosley’s wedding. You’re really showing your true colours
@@theMolluskMan yeah, Hitler was guest of honour at Mosley’s wedding, and the wedding took place at Goebbels house.
I can't help but to have noticed in my own life that the people who speak the most of universal "love" in a general sense, are the most unloving people when it comes to their families and the people close to them
I was beginning to think this was going to be merely or mostly political but then it became intensely relevant and pertinent to the times we are living in 😌😌
Praise be to God! Fantastic sermon.
I really appreciated the segment about being right then later realizing you were wrong and acknowledging and embracing truth. Vs. people who have dug their heels in being wrong for 30 years
Great sermon! Next sermon idea - “How Christians should stop tolerating the wicked”
Thank you for posting. A blessing as always 🙏
Great sermon, Pastor Joel. I left a big church last year that had the “Radical” book on display in their Sunday School hallway, so I do understand what you are saying.
Excellent 👏✝️
Thank you. This is excellent. And i think the atheist you were thinking of was Peter Singer.
@@LittleSeasonSaintTX Yep!
Pretty ambitious trailer for the sequel of the Far Cry 5 game.
Glory to God
Precedence is a better fit for the thing you're calling triage. Precedence is order of importance of laws. Like how a "Do Not Enter" sign becomes invalidated when there's a fire.
Literally 2min in and he's left the text and already talking political tribes
