Don’t let the first half of the video give you the impression I don’t like this optic, because I do like this optic. These are only issues if you have a “Zev” style RMR cut slide. If you have a standard RMR cut slide, you will be fine. I just wanted to explain/show the process I went through, when testing the optic to show I actually test this stuff 👍
This is what happens when we start to push tech ..5 years ago 250$ wouldn't buy you a optic that was ok for the range ..bought couple of the 110$ rmsc in green and red over Xmas ..there really solid for the 68$ on sale ..there over 100 regular but all work well so far maybe 600 rds and 400 through the green dot ..
Thanks for the thorough review. I have multiple AR uppers in different barrel lengths and calibers. I like running combo sights of scope+45deg offset dot. So far have purchased 5 of the UTG OP3s which have worked well for my uses. A couple of the UTGs the windage adjust was maxed out full left before it was zeroed which was a let down. Decided to give one of these a shot on my most recent .22LR upper plinker build paired with a cvlife 1-8 LPVO. We shall see if cvlife becomes my value optics of choice over UTG.
Honestly I like the UTG better. I have one too. Im currently doing a torture test on the CV life along with a few other budget options. Spoiler, dont freeze the CVLife 😂
@@poortac5568 Before even receiving, I already dislike the quantity of similar options they provide with no real descriptions to distinguish between them. On Amazon, there’s like 6 different “WolfCovert” dots, and “WolfProwl”. They all look about the same with different prices. Same experience with their LPVOs. They definitely haven’t made the shopping experience simple. 😀
Holosun 407A3 that Palmetto State Armory sells for around $190. Its a standard 407, just without the solar panel feature. They have it on sale sometimes for around $170, but its $199 currently with free shipping.
I've been using their mlok bi-pods it's pretty darn decent for the price. Any thoughts on the gen 3 inforce wmlx or owl non switch incorporated white only light that they've dropped from their line-up?
their white light only version doesnt impress me too much. Its basically a TLR1-HL, which isnt great fir a rifle. The Gen 3 IR/White light version looks interesting (if the candela/throw is actually better). Ill email them and see if they will send one out for review 👍
its very sensitive. Walking near it turns it on for me. Set it somewhere far away from you where you can see the dot, you should see it turn off as long as you dont move/vibrate it. I was only able to see mine turn off when it was in my shed and I was outside looking into the shed and could see it turned off.

I was honestly impresses, other than the QC/tolerances 👍

@@rednroll1 yeah Amazon options from China are terrible with descriptions and useful info 😂
The 6 moa Dot is something I wanna try ..these and there lpvo have been looking good so far
I prefer a smaller dot honestly, but its not that noticeable
Great review man,and well detailed!!!!
thanks 😀
Cv life has pretty decent optics for the price point.
I was surprised with this one honestly. I didnt expect a sub $100 optic to hold up to a “torture test”.
What's the cheapest optic that you would be okay with having on a carry gun?

Would the screws work on a direct rmr cut slide without the plate?
@@TheGarry1962 it should, this model is for an RMR cut 👍
Is there a trick to the shake awake? mine neither wakes up or goes to sleep, have turn it on and off with the buttons

That is a badass wedding ring. Where did you get it?
I think my wife bought it off amazon. Its made of silicone.
@@poortac5568 thanks for the reply love your content. Keep ip the great work!
What light/ holster are you running in this video?
Streamlight TLR1-HL and Alien Gear Rapid Force (level 3) holster.
Maybe test it on a actual RMR. Problems solved.
I assume you mean a traditional RMR cut slide? If it comes with 4-40 screws, it should work on slides/mounts that use those screws.
Unless its going on a range toy, you shouldnt go cheaper than a horosun
I agree 👍 nice Carnik Con profile pic 😂
@@poortac5568 miss Dugs crazy late night lives. Have a good one!
What’s the difference…they’re all maddening China…and my Vector optics outshine and outperform any Holosun
Ehh true but if that's all you got then I wouldn't worry about it. People out there capping people with hi points...soo 😂
