That is very odd and if it keeps occurring, I would recommend raising a ticket to Microsoft Support, as the new Teams is still quite new and it could be a bug in the system.
Sadly I think this limitation comes from the problem that Planners are built on top of Microsoft 365 Groups, and therefore allign to Microsoft Teams, rather than Chats. However do check out Loop Capabilities, as you can create a Planner through Loop and it’s a little more unstructured and has the ability to add comments to other Loop content too, like Loop Text and Components
There is a HUGE problem here with the Teams API when migrating between tenants in case of a merger. Group chats and 1:1 chats simply cannot be migrated properly. This is because of how the teams api isn’t designed to rehydrate conversations when migrating. In stead all past conversations are migrated to a folder in Outlook which for some reason isn’t indexed. There is no Migration tool for consultants that can move all workloads and no reliable way of migrating teams chats. Also channel conversations are marked as migrated and not looking or working as they should. This is a disaster when teams is so heavily featured as the go to tool for collab
Unfortunately I would recommend raising that feedback to Microsoft Support, as we are independent channel and sadly don’t have any relationship with them to raise that feedback 😢
@@your365coachI get that. I have brought it up with Microsoft through our partner manager. I just wanted to point it out here if anyone in your audience know of a too I haven’t found or have this problem too and have been creative in solving it, and to make your viewers aware.
Hi Scott- after upgrading to teams new I’m getting the notifications but the content of the alert is not visible.

Hi Scott, How can I assign a role in the group chat, that is, an administrator who can add and delete members and the other users cannot do the same
similar to whatsapp group
As for me, it would be more convenient if the planner and tasks, including all their analytical features, were part of "chats" rather than "teams".
