Actually felt a bit emotional listening last night with Andy Jackson finishing the show with this montage. Remember it first going on air in 1998 and has been my go to radio station ever since. Not interested one bit in GHR's offerings. Hopefully we'll see some more 'local' radio stations start up, outside of the Bauer group.
Why do ask the great things in life get taken over because of profit over passion, Wave was just the best radio ever and the song ‘Say Hello. Wave Goodbye’ will always remind me of 28th March @10pm unforgettable radio so sad

Pirate FM --> Grt Hits (from April 17th)
Cool FM --> Grt Hits (from mid-April)
When the presenters were like a family.. So we have a station now called Greatest Tits.. Sorry I’m saying like it sounds….. 😂
Next is Pirate FM on FM in East and West Cornwall on 17th April and then Cool FM in Northern Ireland on FM will follow (in mid-April)

Shame to hear such a brilliant station closing because the parent companies other stations not getting enough listeners.
I'm not sure that I am a fan of Greatest Hits😢 Its just not the same 😢
Tried 'Greatest Hits Radio'. Not exactly local now, is it?
Have now switched to Solent Radio and enjoying it.
