    Not the first time someone used the KD analogy in joining the Warriors. There’s a big difference… Sasaki isn’t the best player from Yankees joining the Dodgers. He’s going to be rookie joining a team.

    I think Paul said it best Padres are in line to win 2025, but what about after 2025? Preller dismantled the farm system during the trade deadline and championship window is getting smaller and smaller. I hope he picks SD but idk way to many questions with our future.

    Sasaki going to the Dodgers is a Kevin Durant move? LOL! KD was a top 3 plyr at that time and made the finals and also took the Warriors to 7 games. Sasaki hasn't played one game in the MLB and nobody is calling him the top pitcher in the game.

    These guys are reaching so hard for Padres. It’s just about winning -Dodgers are guaranteed to go playoffs Division leader in the last 12 of 13 years. Yu Darvish is done in 2 years, Ohtani/Yamamoto is for the next 10-12 years. Easy answer !!

      When I was in my 20s, I would have rather played with Tony Gwynn and Greg Maddux than Albert Pujols and CC Sabathia (bonus points if someone can tell me the years I'm thinking of). Playing alongside your heroes is much more exciting than playing with your contemporaries. Not saying he will choose the Padres, just answering your question.

    If Darvish teaches Sasaki some magic pitches, he will evolve further!

    • @asianbaseballers
      @asianbaseballers หลายเดือนก่อน

      @popozz he already has. He is a better pitcher than he was 2 years ago. He is a more complete pitcher, no longer reliant on his 102 mph fastball. He did this for several reasons. He wants to preserve his health, and two, he wants to have a longer career. His splitter is as fast as the majority of pitchers, which makes it difficult to identify as a splitter. He's also refined his slider, which is just filthy. He all but abandoned his curve ball, which he rarely throws.
      Sasaki has toned done on his velocity by an average of 2 MPH, but even that he would have the top 7 fastball in the MLB right now. If he goes back to the same velocity, he immediately would have the best fastball in the league. It is not just speed. His fastball is unique because it moves horizontally and vertically, moving inward to right-handed hitters. This makes it difficult to distinguish whether it's a fastball or not. So, upon facing him, you are always second-guessing yourself, causing a delay, as he also sports the best splitter in baseball, which also looks like a fastball upon release. It's filthy and has literally made hitters fall down trying to swing for it. With a slider just as fast as many pitchers, it makes him very tough to face.

    All u wishful Padres fans. You guys can’t compete against the Dodgers in or out of the field. But the biggest reason why the Fryers (on purpose) have no shot is that u can’t ease him into the league. Y’all are so short staffed that u will make him pitch every 5th day which he has never done. LA offers him EVERYTHING including his country’s following and recognition. First class players need first class organizations and y’all ain’t it

    Roki is a competitor. This is a guy foregoing a guaranteed 300M if he just waits 2 years. All this because he wants to test his skills. It is very possible he wants to play against Shohei and Yoshi rather than be his teammates.
    Roki has been seen gearing up a Padres Jersey.

    • @am3lagrimas410

      Padres not winning anything Z Roki giving up money to win championships w ohtani and yamamoto .
      Ohtani probably told sasaki his experience w the Angels and convince him to win w him and yami

    • @asianbaseballers
      @asianbaseballers หลายเดือนก่อน

      @am3lagrimas410 no argument there. But, Roki is his own guy. While the Dodgers are clear favorites, there are also the Yankees who have also scouted him for years. He's also familiar with them. His hero growing up is Masahiro Tanaka. He practically rooted for the Yankees growing up because of him. His mentor is Yu Darvish, whom he greatly respects and looks up to.
      MLB and his agent, Joel Wolfe are also involved and could also advise him to take a separate route because he could be the lone star and corner one market. It is also beneficial for the league money-wise if he does because it will create a rivalry scenario. The Dodgers may have a load of pool money right now, but that changes in December 1st because pool distribution rewinds and all 30 teams are in play.
      While the most likely scenario is the Dodgers, it is not as guaranteed as many would think.

      @flat_life750 since 2013, when Niebla took over as pitching coordinator, Cleveland has the best collective ERA of 3.74 in the American League and is a key part of the reason why Cleveland has been able to be competitive with low spending compared to other teams. This man knows his stuff. With him with the Padres, it greatly improves their pitching development.
      He is known as a personal coach who meticulously works with each pitcher in an individual level. He's a great coach.

    Dodgers' "pitch" - there's a good chance that you will injure your arm in 3 months or so and require TJ surgery, BUT you'll more likely get a nice shiny WS ring for your troubles. 😬

    • @asianbaseballers
      @asianbaseballers หลายเดือนก่อน

      Roki is the kind of pitcher who uses the rubber band effect. There's not as much stress on his arm as some might think. Think if you place a paper ball on a rubber and then release it. It creates a lot of torque and the ball goes far. From the moment he leg kicks and releases the ball, the rubber band effect is what allows him to throw 100-103 mph. If any, it is his shoulder.....most of the time, shoulders are much more durable than the arm. This is what happened to him this year. He had shoulder fatigue in which just needed rest, and he missed 2 starts during that period. Then, he was ok in the playoffs in which he dominated in his only start due to his team not advancing.
