Silence the Iceriver KS5L Kaspa ASIC! (Fruition Designs shroud kit install guide & testing)

- In this video I show you how to SILENCE the Iceriver KS5L Kaspa mining ASIC! The KS5L is arguably one of the best (and most profitable) Kaspa miners available in 2024, but it's loud! Don't worry though because in this video, I go through step by step instructions on how to install a Fruition Designs kit. This will also work on your Iceriver KS3L, KS3M, or KS3 Kaspa ASIC but be careful because the new KS5L is slightly different and will require extra parts! No worries though, Fruition Designs includes EVERYTHING you need! This kit is amazing! It allows you to ELIMINATE the NOISY and POWER HUNGRY stock fans, and install a MUCH more efficient and much quieter AC Infinity inline fan & silencer. After trying many different combinations I found what works best and allows the KS5L to run VERY efficiently, with nice stable optimal temperatures... and best of all IT'S FINALLY QUIET!!!

Have 3 x ks5l set up to a custom exhaust manifold that worlds a treat. Creating a hot side and cold side super easy with this set up.

So on mine i feel heat comes out from the top and the side of the power supply so i put tape to close any hot air coming out of the machine works good so far
Yeah the shroud includes the power supply and the power supply is not perfectly sealed. It isn't a problem that some of that air is leaking out

HaHa well I have to sign for most of these when they arrive, or they are delivered to a locked location. But there has been a few times where they were just sitting on my doorstep, no signature etc. It's weird how random the delivery company seems!
What is Njord universal controller on the fruition design site?
It's an option that you can try where the AC Infinity fans are automatically controlled instead of manually based on input from the ASIC

Hey sir. I have 2 red lights and 2 green lights. But it's not mining. Any ideas. I ran it for a hour. Turned it off. And now I turn it back on and just the lights. On steady. Green light blinking on psu
I'm sorry but I'm not sure what problem you're having. Check the basics to start. Is your internet connection good? You can check on iceriver.io for the manual to see what lights mean what on the machine etc. When in doubt it's also easy to try a hard reset and start over

I have done everything but getting a D1 & D3 light flashing - 'Fan Abnormality', any thoughts here, have you ever had faulty spoofers?
Found that it is my molex cable that I got locally where the colours didn’t line up right. For anyone that runs into this, make sure your molex adaptor cable’s colours line up the same as the fan.

Would you think doing this In a hotel room with no windows be viable?
Absoluetey not. First of all how are you going to get 240 volt electric in a hotel room? Second, this thing put off a massive amount of heat.
