Finally a decent review. Thank you so much. All the questions I had were answered you’re the only person that’s done that ! brilliant review I totally appreciate you and the time you took to put this together I’m sold you’re a gentleman and a scholar be well !
Thanks Richard. AOA has this on sale for 1200 hundred dollars, here in America. Same model but FAC. I'm looking into getting this. Your review was by far the most in-depth review that I could find. Kudos to you and your professionalism! It's (as advertised) an 1900 hundred dollar rifle, here in the States. I think thats a good price for what you get. What are your thoughts on that. I'm sure our FAC model will work as well as yours did. Just wanted to thank you for such a great review again!!!!
@@airgunextra Thank you for replying 🙂. It's actually on sale for $1200.00 dollars. I hate to bug you but I forgot to ask you what the length of pull is? I'm a short guy but have hunted with shot guns and rifles my whole life. I've measured the length of pull on my guns and they seem to all be around 14". I understand if you don't have time to reply. No worries! And again thanks for your help.
Great video Rich, thanks. It’s my Safari with a different outfit, nice though. Oh yes, I like the new intro and studio which looks more comfortable than your last media and video studio. 😉
Just a reminder. The front piece that the silencer screws into is just glued into the carbon fiber shroud. My red wolf Safari .30 cal. front piece fell off the other day with the silencer. I JB weld it back on.
Thanks for another informative review, sound seems to be much clearer in you new 'studio'. Rifle looks good and shoots well in your hands, seemed to me as though the safety gets in the way of the trigger a little bit.
Thanks very much. Yes, warmer too! The safety catch is well positioned in terms of access, but I'm not a fan of catches within the trigger guard, although lots of companies seem to do it! Thanks for watching.
Another cracking review Richard. Question - If you leave a spring loaded magazine full of pellets for a few weeks, can you weaken the spring by leaving it compressed, and cause issues with performance? Many thanks. ATB MMMD
Thanks Max. On the magazine point, I couldn't say for certain, but I wouldn't have though it would do the spring much good. On a separate point, I wouldn't advocate leaving a magazine full anyway from a safety point of view. Thanks again for watching.
I love it, but the two pins on the cheek weld are too short to be able to set the hight right… I made them about 1” longer, now it’s perfectly adjustable.
Still sold more on the safari stock tbh! Perhaps it's the start of their new pastel colour range for which you get a free matching t shirt, or emulsion for the living room. 🤔 Thank you Richard.
@@THEGHOSTMAKER1 Did you buy it brand new? There should be an anti-tamper sticker to make it clear that removal would indicate a desire to turn up the power on a sub-12 ft lbs rifle, making it illegal (over 12 ft. lbs.)
I really like the copperhead scope. It fitted all the criteria for my new scope but when it came to making the purchase I just couldn't get past the blingy 'copperhead'. I wish it was a copperhead, with a removable copperhead that can be replaced with a black head. Good review of the rifle, I like the shorter barrel 👍
@@jrsuk1170 Ive had a few Discovery vvti and a vector air veyron and both are great compact scopes and cheaper too for what in essence is just a rebadged one with some copper coloured trim on it .
Hi Richard will my Foster fitting for my daystate wolverine r fit this brocock, am i right in thinking the daystate and brocock made by the same company.
Got the bantam sniper hr , its my go to gun for rats in the garden ( rare , but there is a few in the summer under the bird feeder ) and excellent down the range .. just to add , turn the power down to half (6.2fpe ) and practice hold over ect at different distances .. great fun ... great grouping at 30mtrs at 6fpe .. great review Richard , and a very very nice rifle ... duz the new style mag fit the old style brocock? ..
Thanks Mark. The new magazine will fit the breech but the probe also has to be changed. You can modify the existing probe, but it involves using a Dremmel (!) to grind down/cut off a lug at the back of the probe. Its not for the faint-hearted and if you're in any doubt its something best left alone, or sent to Brocock/gunsmith to swap the probe for you. Thanks for watching.
Brocock.......nice guns, I mailed their technical department with the question of what is the inner dimension of the airtube of the Brocock Contour .22 single-shot............in millimetres, as I would like to place a regulator.......unfortunately, so far, no answer.............................
They do look good, but unfortunately the Sniper XR I bought new couldn't hit a barn door. Grouping was awful, with it shaving pellets and it was slightly over its 12 ft lb limit. It went back to the shop for a refund and I bought an Impact that's been faultless.
hi richard , can i ask you something pleas ? i want buy also a brocock sahara xr rifle , my question is if the brocock shot 460 shots in 12 ft/lbs 16 joules with one filling how much shots can do it with 6 ft/lbs 7,5 joules ? do you know that ? i have write also brocock about the shot count but i dont have any info from brocock can you help me ?
Hi Alfie. To be honest, I don't think the power adjuster will result in more shots at lower power settings. It simply chokes off the transfer port so an extent, so the same amount of air is used, but a proportion of it is wasted. I may have that completely wrong and will double check to make sure and let you know.
Thank you very much richard for your quick answer, I thought if you used less air and shot at 7 joules, you would use less air and shoot more shots, but you probably know more about it, I'm thinking about which one pcp rifle should i buy , brocock sahara xr or the rti prophet performance , I am interested in making as many shots as possible, do you know something about the rti prophet performances with a carbon bottle how many shots you can make in cal 177 4.5mm in 7 joules thank you richard
Hi Dave. Taking the silencer off seemed to affect the point of impact a little. I've been using the Sahara a great deal and it shoots as well as any other rifle. Single hole 5p groups are not an issue!
@@MarkExley1972 Hi Mark. Unfortunately that doesn't mean your rifle is bang up to date current model (who knows how long it could have been sitting in the gun shop/supply chain?).
