Super duper! I liked the look of the triangles pieces with the stone walkways! And now reviewing both videos and comparing with what I did to find out where I went different from your project, I realized that you're putting the gate frame on the edge in between the foundations! And when I tried to replicate by heart, I placed the gate frame right in the middle of the foundations instead! Doing so, I was able to put wall at both sides of the gate frame, and then before placing the gate I placed hatch frames across the gate frame, after that I put the gate, and then I replaced the hatches by ceilings! And just like that, I accidently found a possibility to build your project without the stones walkways and because of that you can use the secret path below without crouching!! Thank you again for sharing it! I appreciate that you've taken your time! And I hope that I've helped anyhow!! 😊😉
Yes you did. Like said there is bout 6 different snap points for the gate door but its nice to know other ways work aswell thank you. Also all comments and other suggestions on builds is always helpful for everyone.
This is great, i really enjoy these building tricks. The one where you can make windows with the stable gate frames changed the look of my bases competely and i believe this will too.
Thank you! I believe there easier ways to do this. All i do is play around with the pieces. I believe theres a way to use hatch frames aswell. Let me know how you come up with it.
@@w76olf23 I ended up using the center of the foundations for the gate frame so i can just fill the gap with hatch frames and replace them with ceilings, i haven't tested it out more than that yet. I've never thought of using the hatch frames like that so now i'm trying to think of where else they can be used.

I am back to this game after a five year absence so essentially I am a brand new player. Even though you are using a controller, do you (or maybe one of your viewers) know how to raise and lower foundations on PC with keyboard controls? I go into keyboard settings and it says hold shift with mouse wheel to change elevation but mouse wheel only rotates even when combined with any other key.
@RBCharger welcome back to the game. Im not sure. But i know the default on PC is shift/mouse wheel. But if you by chance remapped your keys i dont know. You can try crouching while trying to place the item, left and right triggers move it up and down. I hope this helped.
@@w76olf23 Thanks. After much Google searching I didn't find any answers so decided to just get on the game and experiment. I remapped the key for elevation to hold semi-colon instead of shift and that worked.
@Ges1985 another subscriber @Paollo. They have it in the comments. They figured out how to do it different. But if trying to do the way i did. Aslong as the walkway has something to snap to you can use 1.

Would it work if you only used the 3rd walkway?
Yes once u place the other ones then u can remove the oyher 2 if thats what you mean.

with the gate open, you can build ceilings, you don't have to be so complicated
