You're lucky to have a nice flat beach. On the Gold Coast when a storm like that rolls past the waves are 5-6 metres high and just crashing nto the shoreline. Take balls and fitness to get out there.

Can you explain to me, what the problem is with a big bar (in such winds)? Is a larger bar more likely to entangle and such?
