It is bigger than I’ve seen but very fragile and I think a boot or a wide belt. I need to do some research. I find over a dozen coins at this site with all but three dating 1772-1796. The three that weren’t being 1810, 1816 and 1819 the year the place was abandoned. Definitely old.

It was likely bowed sometime ago but under age and weight, flattened out. It is large though so I don't know what article it went to.
