sorry to be off topic but does someone know a way to log back into an instagram account?? I somehow forgot the login password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me!
@@MIOGI123 Lol I had this same problem, 4 years late but for anyone else wondering this the pedal won't power on unless you insert a cable into the input jack
cool and creative ways! i love ring modulator tip instantly. i always thought that delaylab got some decent sounding modulation effects, but really not diggin into it as deeply as you did. now i may try. cheers and thanks for sharing!
That trigger button is what I've been missing! I had a DL4, but I had nothing but issues keeping it working. Sat in my house, never gigged, half the time it wouldn't even turn out. Had to get rid of it even though I liked it's sound. I miss that trigger effect. This has it. I need it.
Well this is getting bought after seeing this and you have a new sub thanks so much! I have been looking for a vibrato or ring mod pedal for ages and this does these and more.
Thank you so much for this wonderful video, i just unboxed this pedal from my storage unit, i bought it a few years ago and haven’t as of yet had a chance to play with it. I wonder why this pedal doesn’t get more attention. People equate affordable with crap but I’m hoping to turn some heads with this little beauty in the studio.
this was super helpful. definitely a complex pedal. not sure if youre aware, but you can actually record a loop and play it backwards using this thing. its nuts
+Frank Duffy Yes, I know that! But since it says it on the pedal I didn't put that in the video. I was only going for the lesser obvious effects! Thanks for watching!
I kinda want this pedal, but for the early reflections mode, and reverbs. The chorus is nice, i love shimmers but didn't convince me the one on the Delaylab. The trigger sounds fun.
really appreciate the ring mod tip. i will definitely use that, i was actually considering getting a ring mod pedal but now i'm merely curious to this ring effect in conjunction with my bit commander
Thanks a lot for the video. I just bought one and i love it, but i feel more time to know the sounds of the delaylab. I don't understand why few people says dl4 (line 6), is better than this.. Is it true??
Nice vid! One question, is it possible to dial in the reverb effects towards the end of your vid and still have delay which is coming from the DelayLab??
+Karl Markham (KMSOUND) No not really. The reverb is a dedicated setting on the Delaylab, so you can't add another delay effect to the reverb. You can only use one delay setting at a time.
I've been offered one of these second hand for a hundred bucks. I'm actually looking to upgrade my Ditto loop pedal which I like but I'm after something with a bit more functionality. All these different effects aside, how do you rate it as a looping pedal?
@@leonardsrobert I ended up buying it. With all the delay types and modulation effects, I couldn't resist! As far as the looper goes, I wouldn't say it's really much better than my Ditto to be honest. It has a couple of nice additional features but the fact that you can't delete a take if you make a mistake is a bummer. So I actually ended up keeping my Ditto on the board.
I have a question with trigger function, I've record a chord, but the only way to trigger them is pressing the play button, and that chord loops everytime, not like your recording. I've heard you tap the trigger exactly when you want, doesn't happen with my delaylab... :(
but when I press play, the recorded chord sounds in loop, and I don't have the space of silence of your recording, you have the pedal with stock settings??
Pablo Barra Yes it is stock. If you want the loop to be silent you nees to press stop. it works like this: play trigger trigger trigger trigger stop. play trigger trigger trigger stop. so you have to be playing the loop to be able to trigger it. understand??
Yeah with that way sounds like your recording, I thought your delaylab have the posibility of start to play only pressing trigger and mine was broken or something...
So this is my least favorite of the four delay pedals on my board, at least for delay sounds (I bought it for the stereo looper originally). but every time I consider trading it for a dedicated octave, chorus/vibrato, or looper pedal, I look back at this video and remember that I don't need to. Thanks again, Leon!
+Jeff Luke Hi, another delaylab owner chiming in. It is possible, i have a tremolo sound i think i got with one of the reverse delays. I don't exactly remember where i had the knobs, but i had the delay time set rather fast to really get that tremolo sound. The slower i put the delay time, the less like a tremolo it sounded and the more like reverse guitar. It works brilliantly for kind of a really fast, snappy tremolo effect. Cheers!
Thank you very much for this video!
@@TiagoRibeineCH you’re welcome!
OMG I STARTED freaking out when you PLAYED 15 STEP!!!! I love you man. Great video!
+Fitztas Mavich Yeah I love that song!
2:30 that chime aaaaaah, that's the only reason I just already wanna buy it.
hands down, one of the best pedal review on the web. We need more people like you doing gear reviews
Thanks dude! I'll try to do some more in the future!

@Raylan Decker instablaster =)
I just bought this pedal as my first delay. Super excited to get it! This video is kinda like a bonus for what I'm getting. Thanks!
Beautiful playing and a great review of this tempting toy. Thanx!
This is awesome. Best 'pedal' I own just got even better.
Thank you very much. This have been incredibly helpful. Much love.
Great review and hack. Thanks!
La meilleure vidéo consacrée au DELAYLAB , un grand merci de l'avoir mise en ligne.
Merci! Pas de problème.
This sounds awesome. Think I'll change my strymon deco for this!
Starship Trooper! Great video, interesting effects, and nice choice of music. :)
Today is arriving my Delaylab, Im so exited !
Wow man this is awesome! Thanks for sharing
Love your tone(s) and playing!
Thanks man!!
Very useful demonstration, thank you
Very helpful- I liked the trigger trick at the very end, especially. Thanks!
Cool, ain't it?!
Badass video!! I just got one of these and am still learning it. A lot of pedal here.

Really cool dude! Thanks for sharing your wisdom!
Great video, man! Thanks for that!
Wonderful examples but this pedal can do thousands more sounds and with expression pedal assign any knob to work with exp pedal. Love it.
Muchas Gracias !!

Cool insights! Thanks.
Very nice experimentation which could be used even further with other FX gears

Thank you for injecting life into the Vox Delaylab! I’ve implemented so many of your patches - you rock!
Thanks!!! Enjoy the heck out of it!

THanks my dude!!
Great job man! It is so helpful! Thanks!
Great to be of service!
great video!
Very cool dude
nice video, i know it's been a while, but do think it's possible to get a much slower rate with the vibrato setting in this demo?
Yes! I'd think so.
@Leon Sibum that's good news thank you for the reply. I found a used one cheap, gonna check it out 👍
@@vac8846 Have fun!!! Try a bunch of the settings out I'd say!!

great video
Thanks a lot for the video. I just bought one and i love it, but i feel more time to know the sounds of the delaylab. I don't understand why few people says dl4 (line 6), is better than this.. Is it true??
The DL4 is maybe somewhat more of a cult thing. After all, it was the first in it's form... And by form I mean lots of sounds, presets, etc...
+Leon Sibum Cheers! I've bought myself one and selling my BOSS ME70 as I was using it for delay mostly anyway. Can't wait!
+Leon Sibum So it's not possible to have say 'A' AND 'B' on at the same time?
Nope! Not possible!
I've been offered one of these second hand for a hundred bucks. I'm actually looking to upgrade my Ditto loop pedal which I like but I'm after something with a bit more functionality. All these different effects aside, how do you rate it as a looping pedal?

Do you know if connecting a Expression pedal is it possible to have a faux-whammy???
+Elio Ramos It probably is yes!
🤘😈🤘🔥🔥🔥
2:35 pich shift have input lag?
Yep.
Sold it to me for sure!
Vox can almost start paying me royalties then ;)
minute 2:58 , how do I set the time to 0? I can at most put it at 1 but it won't let me go down to 0
I mean the time dial is at 0! There is always a bit latency as you can hear in this clip.
What type of charger do you use?
What could go well for the pedal?
Anyting that supports more than 200 mA, really! I use a Harley Benton Powerplant jr. Cheap but great! If you're in the EU that is.
I have a question with trigger function, I've record a chord, but the only way to trigger them is pressing the play button, and that chord loops everytime, not like your recording. I've heard you tap the trigger exactly when you want, doesn't happen with my delaylab... :(
Pablo Barra You have to press play first to start the loop. then you can use the trigger to start the sample over again!
but when I press play, the recorded chord sounds in loop, and I don't have the space of silence of your recording, you have the pedal with stock settings??
Pablo Barra Yes it is stock. If you want the loop to be silent you nees to press stop. it works like this: play trigger trigger trigger trigger stop. play trigger trigger trigger stop. so you have to be playing the loop to be able to trigger it. understand??

"YES", thank you...
You are welcome!!
whenever I try to do the pitch shifting sounds, there is a bit of lag. do you know why?
It's still a delay pedal.. ;). I don't really mind it myself...
sorry but where are the little clicks coming from- is that just from the recording quality?
Jep. My interface is just really crappy...
no prob - great playing and really creative effects!
Thanks man! Awesome!
Amazing... I Will copy ...😉

Is there any way to get a Tremolo effect?
+Jeff Luke I'm afraid not!
+Leon Sibum +Jeff Luke there is a way to get a great tremolo using the panning delay, I use it all the time

this pedal is great in versatility but suck a lot of tone, use it with my Fender Twin Reverb and let my strat with less bass and highs
I do not own it anymore, and I've also never experienced this. But it could definitely be true!! Thanks for wathcing.
