As a 60 year supporter of Spurs, I’m 100% with Ange. I could never celebrate my team losing no matter who could theoretically benefit. Maybe it’s the younger generation of fans. This old guy cannot relate to your attempts to justify “fans” celebrating their team’s loss in any circumstances. COS
It’s not just the older generation. I’m 32 and I was appalled by our fan base yesterday. That was pathetic behavior. And for people to keep justifying it worries me. SPURSY!
I wanted Spurs to win the match, however they lost and I’m not bothered. Usually I hate it when we lose. As a fan I have been fortunate to be at games where we have won European and FA Cup trophies. I’m that old.
You’re a proper fan mate. Respect you. Totally agree with Ange as well. The mentality of this fanbase needs to change
Absolutely agree the fan base need to stop watching you tube especially Tottenham away & we are Tottenham tv there the people who brainwash everyone coz there levy haters their the problem get rid what I say
In Australia you are taught to do your best always and do so fairly within the spirit of competition. My grandmother would dis-own me if my motivation was to spite the achievement of someone else. This fighting spirit comes from a culture ignited by a brotherhood/sisterhood during both world wars and other conflicts. No matter the circumstance presented, you do your best to win against all odds. If you put your focus on something other than winning - you lose sight of it. It is why Ange doesnt care about what Arsenal does or what their fans say. The focus is his team and how to help them be the best - exactly what fans want.
Beautifully said
Tactical flexibility has come after 36 games and 4 very heavy defeats in a row , is that arrogance? stubbornness ?
You cannot justify wanting your team to lose because you can't take a little bit of banter from the opposition. Me being a Spurs fan was very disappointed at the pettiness. This was not about top four, it was about winning for winnings sake. We should want to win every game. Using the bad runs to justify it makes no sense because the fans didn't want us to lose those games did they? I don't get how it's connected.
This was reminiscent of Ange time at Melbourne Victory where he played 4-4-2/4-6-0 with 2 false 9 with Sarr/Maddison dynamic. I think it is a mistake to assume that Ange will keep the same system indefinitely. He does want to drill in his primary system which can be stubborn at time but when this is drilled in there can be variation at times.
The same press conference when discussing fragility of foundation inside and outside the club he repeated “They're allowed to express themselves any way they want” and affirm that fans can believe what they want to believe. However express themselves any way they want works both ways. It’s just isn’t his value and he disagrees with it and he can express what he feels as well
There was already hints of fragile foundation prior to this match. Prior to Chelsea and Liverpool Ange state that his message wasn’t getting through and there were players and staff aren’t fully onboard and will change in both staff and players next year.
I do understand the rivalry but it is the misery that makes me sick
Wouldn’t it be funny if Chelsea overtook spurs won’t be laughing then 😂😂😂
Son deserves a 10 for that miss doesn't he?
I have a been spurs fan for over 40 years, I am from Australia and subscribe to a lot of spurs channels because I like the array of comments and update news. Today listening to fans happy we lost and fans in the stadium happy we lost is beyond me. How can we win anything with that attitude, supporting a team is about winning, Bill Nicholson would be rolling over in his grave knowing we were cheering because we were loosing. The players wanted to win but they hear the chants from the stadium when City score, WTF !!! no wonder players come to our team and under perform for a pay packet, you would think for over 140 years there would be more to it than being happy loosing. Maybe it is a generation thing, but rivalry over loosing??? chance to get into CL and get the funds to buy players and win something that goes on the record books then having a loss.
This was a unique one off. Over the season the fans have had nothing but praise from Ange. Apart from the City game are there complaints about the fan base being fragile? Rubbish!
In any case I think this is a culture clash. While there is rivalry in Australia sport the rivalries that does exist does not reach the levels of genuine hatred to the extend to throw the game to spite the rival is completely unprecedented. Also it would be impossible for Australian sporting team to be place in that situation as final/playoff determine the champions rather than league table. While he understands rivalries especially his time at Celtic, deliberately losing to spite a rival is a step too far.
How the hell is Romero supposed to clear away from a city player when he blocks a shot from 3 feet away. I know Ben can be a bit daft but honestly you try guiding the ball to a place of safety when someone belts it at you from close range. Oh yeah, and the block saved us from conceding.
Spurs fans are immature if you are concerned about being called names.. Arsenal are not making up the stats.. Spurs have been dreadful for years.. own it and grow.. im Ange out now.. to a more deserving club tbh
the boys speaking facts today. exactly how i feel and felt. good show, and points today

KPV is a legend.
spot on
Spurs were 12/1 to make CL b4 the match btw so 8% chance fgs
Perfectly summed up lads. I was at the game and during it I couldn’t help but sort of half heartedly wanting us to win. But at the end I was very very very glad we had lost.
I thought betnscur was excellent ange was wrong taking him off most dangerous player on the day
Son does not want Arsenal to win. His love for Tottenham and the fan is everything. He will not miss next time. Angie had experienced the real meaning of rivalry.
Have these two watched the same game as everyone else!? 😆🤣
Yeah the stats don't lie we were the better team and again lack finishing.
We have lost 5 of the last 6 games and Ange is coming out being angry and taking shots at the fans. He needs to pipe down and do his job. He waits till the 2nd last game to start adapting and giving Dragusin and youth players a go. He stood there with his hands in his pockets when we were getting battered by Fulham, Newcastle, Chelsea and Arsenal, now he is showing passion.
I’m happy we lost fuck arsenal they wouldn’t do us any favors. Also who cares about UCL Man U and Newcastle got it got slapped up and now both are fighting for conference league
@@peterlangbridge4628 Stop with the gatekeeping bro and stop telling others how to be a fan or not.
@@shreyashsinah3339 fuck him if we win it helps the scum if Ange and the team cared so much about “top 4” they should’ve beat Newcastle arsenal Chelsea
What a idiot your who ange is pissed off with
Can everyone stop saying Arsenal have lost the title. Anything can happen in football and City could lose to waste ham.
Yes but we won't be handing it to them.
I get a serious rival....but it shouldn't mean more than winning a major game
Beating the best team I'm Europe...not a major game? Winning breeds confidence, beat them and we're riding high. A rivally shouldn't mean more than our success and growth
@@KTNSport Riding high vs Sheffield united🤣🤣
Re: VdV at LB. Ange explained after the Burnley game that the physical demands of inverted full back he was concern regarding VDV fitness to cope and risk of re-injury as explanation why this wasn’t done before
But he ended up still doing it why wait until top 4 is virtually gone to do it
@@redhood444 similar to other players who gradually return from injury of gradually increasing their workload
@@phantomdasilva he could’ve did it vs Newcastle we had a 13 day break after that game
