I had to pause it when Abby said “good” because I couldn’t take it anymore. I cried for 5 minutes and finally gained the will power to unpause only for her to not do it. I baited myself.
I literally screamed WHAT?! When she said that, my younger brother was quite surprised because he played this game before he wanted to see how I reacted to this scene
To me it feels like the music basically describes Abby's mental state during the scene. It gets more intense every second until Lev brings Abby back before she kills Dina. After that, the music calms down and she leaves.
@@dysenterygary4351 yea, and when i Abby said "good" i was SO CONFLICTED i love Abby and Ellie and here we are, all my favorite characters dropping like flies by the hand of each others. also sorry for my english
The way lev still kinda defended Ellie and dina a little even knowing they are the enemy’s made me really like him because he could tell they weren’t bad people
@Meher Chaithanya Abby did not know that though. She found Mel dead with her jacket open... Probably assumed Mel told them she was pregnant and they killed her anyway.
Even though they weren't going to kill Ellie and Dina. They make you play as Abby and have that gut wrenching feeling while they get brutally beaten half to death. This game pulls out a lot of your emotions, I never experienced anything like that in a "video game".
Meher Chaithanya you’re the one responding to every comment of something that likes it telling them to grow up so why don’t you respect their opinions go somewhere else and grow tf up
Player's reacting to Joel getting clubbed by Abby : "I'M DONE PLAYING!" 😡 Player's reacting to Abby smash on Ellie and baby momma Dina : *OH MY GOD STOP!!!* 😱 Me : to think this game couldn't get anymore dark and violent than it already was
Gotta give them credit. I dont think I ever felt this way during a scene before and looking back. Damn it was an emotional rollercoaster that you just don't feel in games anymore.
I love how people are having arguments over whether Abby or Ellie are shitty people. Literally everyone in TLOU universe is a shitty person! They are forced to kill to survive and both of them have killed MANY people to get what they want...

@Meher Chaithanya Nah, just means you have no real capability to understand something or the fact that you care a bit too much about the fact that Joel died to even look at anything else :p
I think the reason why Abby was content in killing Dina is because she, at that moment, wanted Ellie to feel the same pain she felt when she found her pregnant friend brutally murdered.
Thats the reason why: as far Abby knows, Ellie killed Mel knowing she was prego, the Bump was pretty huge. So Abby wanted to make her feel the same pain
IKR? It’s just common sense for Abby to assume that Ellie (at the moment she found the bodies she didn’t even know it was her, she probably thought it was Tommy) didn’t give a shit about Mel being pregnant and killed her, I swear so many people get mad at this game on multiple points like this one without actually trying to understand, oh but sure they expect Abby to understand that Ellie didn’t want to kill a pregnant woman? lol
Pewds was laughing because when he was playing as Abby vs Ellie, he literally died about 15 times on his livestream and when he "died" on the last hit he got on Ellie, he thought he died again but then it cut to the cutscene and so that's why he was laughing and was so happy
“When you’re lost in the Darkness, look for the Light” Lev was the light for Abby. It didn’t give her peace when she killed Joel but it did when she helped Yara and Lev. She found a purpose again. It’s why she spared Dina and Ellie.
I prefer to compare it to what Joel said to Ellie when they were returning to Jackson: “No matter what, you keep finding something to fight for”. Lev was Abby’s reason to keep going, and when she was dying on that beach at the end of the game, looking for the fireflies was her light.
Wtf man, was i the only one who tought abby was the most righteous person in the story? She killed Joel brutally but Joel did kill her father and the only person capable of creating a cure. Abby didn't kill anyone when going for Joel, even let Ellie and Thommy live, meanwhile Ellie killed all her friends, most were by accident but she beated the shit out of Nora, thommy killed Manny, i feel like if you hate Abby and refuse to understand her side of things then you're just being selfish and lacking compassion, i loved Joel a lot but he made a big mistake in killing that doctor, he could've just shot him on the leg and grab Ellie.. then Abby probably wouldn't go as far as to kill Joel in the future. Honestly in their last fight if someone had to die, i would prefer it to be Ellie because she discarted everything for revenge while Abby just wanted to live with Lev. Don't get me wrong, when i saw Joel die i wanted to torture Abby in unimaginable ways but after seeing her side of things, i couldn't hate her anymore. In the end Abby got to live with lev and probably be happy while ellie lost everything, she lost joel, dina, the baby, she never got to forgive Joel and even lost her fingers which prevented her from playing guitar to remember Joel... this game was so dark man...
Lol joel would have never killed à pregnant woman he never brutally tortured someone with à golf club after blowing his leg with à shotgun he was killed minutes after saving abby lifes literally he was a good guy when you see all the others gangs the cannibals the pedos the rapists the slavers he was okay
Abby really gave Ellie and Dina a Grade A, unadulterated ass whooping. This fight wasn't fair at all lmao. Ellie should've just taken the L and lived peacefully with Dina on that farm.
@@danimal41014 Yeah the size comparison is crazy. Ellie still had her back pack full of weapons while Abby lost hers back at the island. She still managed to whoop that ass lol.
@Meher Chaithanya Abby literally beat the shit out of Ellie with her own two-hands and broke her arm. Wtf is you talking about? Are you sure you "watched" the same gameplay I did. Of course, you didn't lmao 😂😂😂 Ellie got bodied plain and simple. If Lev wasn't there, Abby would've done a lot worse and she would've really gave you a good reason to hate her now.
@Meher Chaithanya ofc she wouldn't stand a chance Ellie had weapons lol. The last fight Abby was weak and malnourished and Ellie needed a knife to win.
I find it unbelievable how few people can put themselves in the position of abby. I completely understand why she was about to do it, and what strength she had shown not to kill her friends' murderers for lev
YES!!! People are too quick to back Ellie and judge Abby at the drop of a hat. I understood both perspectives and by the end could see they were both wrong.
If i personally had to choose , i like ellie more and would choose her but tbh from a logical standpoint abby is more mature and a better person overall , and she's not a psycho like many people thought at first or she wouldn't have risked her life for lev and yara and she wouldn't have let ellie go twice, i reallu hopped the game end at the part where abby joins the fireflies and ellie just lives in the farm with dina and their kid that would have been the happiest possible ending
@@imaginarychip4916 even with the way they carried out the revenge abby killed her fathers murderer and left tommy and Ellie alive. @@thekid6467People forget that Joel was not a good person. Even Ellie had to struggle to push past her disillusionment. From the moment he drove past that family stranded at the side of the road in Texas, he showed who he was. And everything he did after that showed that his motivation was always about his own grief. And Ellie’s anger came from her guilt that she wasted so many years being (rightfully) angry at him. Look at what Ellie walked away from to avenge a completely justified death.

One of the darkest moments in gaming history. And yet by the end of the game you're begging Ellie not to kill Abby. This game truly is a masterpiece of emotional ebb and flow.
it definitely remind me of shows like Mr. Robot and Westworld, two very good shows that are truly underrated because they are different (one treating mental health on its deep levels, and the other one having a very elaborate storyline). I just realised TLOU2 is not so different, in that the average players wouldn't get it, or try to read between the lines. the story makes way more sense (although, i'm not going to lie, some elements could have been better)
When Abby says "Good" you have to remember that Ellie had already murdered Mel, who was also pregnant, along with the love of her life. It was NOT self-defense, she attacked them first. Mel was acting in self-defense, not Ellie. But she let it go and allowed Ellie to live...again. At this point my sympathies started to shift.
I can't understand people saying "I hate Abby again after this" - for me this scene absolutely redeemed Abby - the fact that she had the balls to spare Ellie after all that shit was huuuuge. I hated Ellie so much for going after her again - I know it ended up good for Abby and Lev because of that, but still...
I think is because people like too much Joel, They treat him like he was a hero but he wasn't. Like I like him and when he die it was actually hard for me too but some people overrated. Also people are mad that Ellie doesn't kill Abby because they didn't understand and then say it is bad.
Do you know she was going to slice Dina's throat and only stopped because Lev told her not to do it? It's like: Abby: I'm gonna kill your girlfriend in front of you after killing your father figure Lev: No bad Abby let her go! Abby: OK
@@smoker5989But she didn’t, Lev made her realize how messed up she was at that moment. She understood when to stop that nonsense revenge and let them live, again.
It's really irritating that nobody pays attention to details, people think Abby is evil because she was about to kill Dina after Ellie says she's pregnant, as if they missed the fact Ellie killed Mel who was pregnant
@@RIPKV that's how you see it but why would any of that matter to Abby her friend who was pregnant is dead, so she was about to return the favor, that's the point
@@shonwest1539 Yeah but it's not like she planned to kill her she just wanted to know where abby was and then they attacked so it was all out of self defense. Abby planned to kill ellie and everyone in that theater after she saw her friends dead.
@@RIPKV Look Ellie walked in on Mel and Owen with a gun pointed at them, sure Ellie could have just been asking for Abby's location and left but how would Owen and Mel know that, because all they know is a person has a gun pointed at them so it's already a hostile situation that's not going to end well and let's be honest they were both at Joel's execution so Ellie in my opinion was not going to let them go because she had promised to kill everybody in that room plus if you want to talk about evil Ellie is not Innocent she was ready to kill Levi because Abby didn't wanna fight in the end and if you look at the whole picture Abby in the beginning was looking to kill Joel not everybody in Jackson, just the one man who murdered her father to Abby it was only about Justice, one man killed my father I killed that one man, Ellie just wanted revenge and was going to kill anybody and everybody in her way until she got to Abby but ultimately I believe both girls did what they thought was right in their own eyes, actions have consequences Joel crossed a lot of people and eventually you reap what you sow
@@shonwest1539Ok I guess that makes sense I guess I saw ellie as a hero mainly because she was the protagonist but from what you've said she's not exactly better than abby when it comes to good moral standards.
People are forgetting that Ellie killed Mel who was pregnant, thats why Abby said "good" bc its payback with Dina. Edit: Also the most important piece of this situation is to remember that **Abby didn’t know that Ellie didn’t know....*** literally Abby found Mel with her jacket open, which looks super obvious that someone knew she was pregnant when they murdered her. It’s so sad it literally takes Ellie accidentally killing a pregnant woman to realize maybe she shouldn’t be mercilessly killing random people for no reason. Literally similar to cops, why shoot in a fatal area when needing to defend yourself? Shoot in the leg or shoulder or arm to slow them to get enough time to run away. Also, like helloo if you’re argument back to me that you’re about to write is “well that doesn’t justify Ellie killing Mel if Abby gonna kill Dina for revenge”...exactly my point!! Because by your philosophy it doesn’t justify Ellie going after Abby for “payback” either just bc she killed Joel. Also in my **opinion** Abby is the better among the two because in the end Abby had only one target which was Joel. And she finished that and only him, roped no one else into the situation, and even spared Ellie twice**. Yet Ellie mercilessly kills anyone in her way on her way to find Abby, even in cold blood where they’re unable to fight back, every one of Abby’s friends, bringing all of them into it instead of only taking the life that she originally came for like Abby and kept the situation isolated. Do I need to remind you of Abby vs Ellie’s end game body count?! One is significantly lower than the other!!! And bruh don’t even hit me with the “ohh well Abby killed Jesse too”...cuz she never would’ve done that if Ellie just let it go when Abby spared her life the first time when she could’ve taken her and Tommy out too. The lesson to be learned from this video game is revenge is never the answer and to look at both sides of the story equally whether you like it or not, because all stories have two sides and the other may not be what you prefer, but just because you don’t like the other side doesn’t stop it from having validation and truth and perspective to the situation. Like for real why do y’all think they made the edgy decision to constantly force you to play Abbys campaign too?? It’s all about perspective. Because like Ellie, but not Abby, if you lose perspective, you lose everything in the process.
@@Jbreezzyyy No, it doesn't. It shows that Abby is sadistic enough to kill another unborn child just to get back at Ellie. If you're mad because you think Ellie intentionally killed an unborn then why do the same shit? There's no excuse for that. This scene just showed her true colors. Like when she slow tortured Joel even though he didn't do that to her dad. She beat him everywhere on his body with a golf club before Ellie showed up and then her friends held her down and made her watch Abby bash Joel's head in.
It’s hilarious that all these people hate on Abby because of her “good” when she said that because she just found Mel. Mel hated Abby and Abby still cared about her enough to think of her in that moment. Also this is the second time she lets Ellie live.
Meher Chaithanya also a lot of reasons not to hate her. Which is the main reason the devs late you play as Abby so youll see her side of the story. I honestly liked that concept, I felt sympathetic somewhat for Abby's side at least
@Meher Chaithanya aww how pathetic. Also im a fangirl. Heres a reason. Joel killed Abbys father. Abby kills Joel. Ellie kills not only Mel a pregnant lady but also all of Abbys friends except Lev. So who is the monster here?
Guys, please remember that when Abby said "GOOD" after finding out Dina was pregnant before wanting to kill her, she was under the impression that when either Ellie or Tommy killed Mel, they didn't cared when she was pregnant when they killed her. This doesn't make her right but she was avenging her friend.
The point of Abby’s story was to see revenge fixes nothing. It was only after she did a selfless act was she able to stop the nightmares. The theater was a relapse. She was in the same position again, but we see she didn’t learn from her past mistakes. If not for Lev.
Not really. The thing is, Ellie didn’t know that Mel was pregnant, AND after she killed her and found out that was pregnant, there was obviously guilt/regret, and she had a mental breakdown cause of it. Meanwhile, Abby was willing to kill a pregnant woman (and she literally knew that dina was pregnant) with no remorse whatsoever. Maybe think about that before commenting smth like that.
@@liveforshield5717 abby didn't know any of that. all she knew was ellie killed her friend and she was going to avenge her (sound familiar?), but she didn't DO it. there would've been remorse, which is why she listened to lev. not saying it's right that she almost killed her but why is she being demonized for doing the right thing?

We’ll never know if Abby would’ve actually done it, she would have felt remorse, but from what I’ve seen from her character, and the way she behaved in this scene, I’d say she wouldn’t have felt remorse. I really enjoyed the game, the outcome and all, I guess seeing both sides of the spectrum, Abby suffering all those years for the loss of her father and Ellie ultimately learning "what loss is" with Joel's death, like I said, I really enjoyed the game IMO.
Don’t you love it when a video game forces you to play as the character who kills your favorite character and then forces you to beat the holy shit out of your other favorite character and her pregnant girlfriend?
Christian Ray The problem is there was a way to do that without forcing the player to beat the shit out of Ellie. This entire fight could have been a cutscene and it would have conveyed the same outcome/character development for Abby. Forcing you to sit there and nearly kill Ellie was just bs on this game’s part.
BiPolar Bear But I understand why ND took this risk. The way I see it, this game had two campaigns, one for Ellie and one for Abby, and both had final bosses, one for Ellie and one for Abby.
Whoever the dude is at the end is so wrong it's incredible. Dude works purely off emotions and biases. That's one thing TLOU Part 2 exposes people for.
Abby targeted the man who killed her dad and entire group. She let Ellie and Tommy go TWICE. She spared Dina because she was pregnant. Meanwhile, Ellie killed all of Abby’s friends, including her lover and pregnant frenemy, and only stopped because the trail went cold and Dina was pregnant. Not sure how anyone can see Ellie as the good guy
I get being bummed the player doesn't get to play as Joel, but through this whole thing Angry Joe really came off like a kid upset he didn't get to play with his toys.
@Meher Chaithanya they wanted revenge against the man who doomed the humanity, killed their leader, and ended their organization, it was for nothing? They really attacked first?
NeverLookBack Um... yes we do actually. If you try and pay attention to the themes and messages and don’t look at things on a surface level perspective.

Would y’all believe after 3 weeks and I still feel sick after watching Abby beat the shit out of Ellie and Dina? Loved the game btw but I like how it made me so uncomfortable.
When Abby tells Ellie,"Don't ever let me see you again" .... Understood, you win. .. BUT, we all know Ellie just ain't wise enough to "let it go". The cops in "First Blood" didn't listen to John Rambo we he told them "let it go". .... Ya get what you're foolish enough to continue persuing.
The funny thing is: Abby thought that it is Tommy who killed her friends and Lev stopped her from killing Ellie and Dina only because he thought that's it. He saw Tommy got shot in head, probably he's dead, so why spill more blood? But if Abby knew all about what was happening, I think this scene could be more messy and violent
1. Abby did a big thing letting ellie go 2. She didn't know ellie killed Mel in defense so wanted her to feel the pain 3. Yes I hate Abby but the voice actor and person for the face should not get death threats 4. Elijah Johnson Sure, but tell me who wanted to play as the same person who beats their favorite character to death, for 8 hours. The whole game never pays off in the end. The whole story was about getting revenge, Ellie kills dozens of people but then when she’s killing her actual target she stops. It makes everything feel fucking pointless
See, let's switch the roles for a sec. If it was ELLIE with a knife to Lev's throat, she 100% would've done it. But no, after everything, Abby STILL had more resolve to not kill someone who relatively had nothing to do with her father's death. Whereas Ellie took her anger and revenge on literally anybody she could. Really gives you perspective on who's the "good guy" here
what makes me dislike ellie so much is that even way after abby spared both ellie and dina, ellie still had the audacity to hold a knife on levs throat in the very end.
What makes you think she would kill lev when before the fight in her diary she says how killing is too painful and she can’t do it anymore. Then she agreed to go back to Jackson and leave Abby alive and btw literally all of Abby’s friends could of survived if they weren’t so antagonistic and straight reckless when dealing with Ellie
@@caseycholava6624 Doesn't matter if Abby's friends 'would have' survived or not. The fact is that Ellie went after them JUST take revenge and hurt Abby in cold blood. Abby literally shows multiple times in the game that she tries sparing Ellie. She was even willing to never contact Ellie or anyone who even knew Ellie ever again after killing Joel; she gave Ellie mercy MULTIPLE times, even when Ellie wouldn't do the same for anyone else (until the very end of course). I don't really think either of them were the bad guy, it was just two girls who had everything taken away from them. All I was saying was that Ellie is a lot less merciful and understanding than Abby
Ellie didn’t want to kill any one Abby’s friends she wanted information which all of them refused to give up and then all of them were the first to start the fight. Also I can’t really hold it against Ellie considering she is traumatised after torturing Nora and after killing Owen and Mel thus showing she feels extreme remorse and guilt after doing both and if she was doing it to hurt Abby why wasn’t she happy? She’s killed all Abby’s friends. Secondly I can’t really understand the point of Abby let Ellie go multiple times when the first time was mainly Owen vouching for Ellie and Tommy and Abby only joined in to stop the fight between him and Jordan. The second time she was happily going to slit dinas throat the purpose of which was to hurt Ellie shown by how she turns her around to face Ellie. This time she only stopped after Lev a child pleaded for her to stop, and I believe after reading her face and body language she only spared Dina and Ellie because she knew it would likely ruin the relationship Abby and lev had. So both times “she spared them” it was really due to Owen and Lev with Abby showing no real want or desire to spare them. Finally even if you believe these two actions of mercy count Ellie still decided to give up revenge three times during the story. At the theatre when she agreed to go back to Jackson, after the theatre she promised Tommy she would get revenge against Abby and she decided not to in favour of living with Dina and JJ on the farm and finally letting Abby go on the beach. But I do agree with you that they are both hurt people
I think a lot of people missed something with this whole scene. When Lev intervenes in Abby killing Dina, Abby stops to think for a second then lets them go. What I think people missed is that in that second to think Abby was totaling up deaths on both sides. She thinks they broke even. She doesn't know all of her friends are dead, she thinks three of her friends are dead. She killed Joel, Jesse, and thinks she killed Tommy. She knows Manny, Mel and Owen are dead. I think this section would have gone quite differently if she knew all seven of her friends were dead.
@@harrytucker6720 specifically Nora makes the difference in my opinion, if Abby knew Nora was tortured after being purposely exposed to spores, I don't think she would have let Ellie go.
There is no reason for Abby not to kill Ellie. She let her go once, and Ellie killed all of her friends. Kill her is necessary for her own safety and Lev's.
Let’s look at the scorecards: Joel kills Abby’s father, a bunch of her Firefly friends, and dooms humanity to perpetual infections. Abby kills Joel and only Joel. It sucks, but it’s square and then some. In fact, Ellie can’t even pretend that she doesn’t understand because she was about to walk away from Joel herself. But Ellie then goes after Abby’s friends because of her own guilt and regret. Abby, after seeing her friends killed comes after Ellie. And SPARES HER AGAIN. She then warns Ellie to bury it. AND AGAIN Ellie comes looking for her. Ellie sparing a broken, empty, basically near-dead Abby isn’t a hero. Abby did nothing wrong.
Writers did something wrong. Abby is still hated by half of the community. Theme-wise the revenge is decent until the end. Here: if there's smoke there's fire. If people hate Abby then Naughty Dog failed as storytellers to convey Abby did nothing wrong; failed to even convince players.
@@ilikememes1402 I would argue that the only thing the writers did “wrong” was not play into the wish fulfillment that Daddy Joel gets to resurrect his daughter through Ellie and the two could live life of being father-daughter bad asses. Joel, from the moment he drove past the hitchhiking family in Texas revealed his moral limitations. It’s just that most people said “yup”, and unequivocally aligned themselves to his perspective.
@BionicLatino nice to strawman the opposition, laughable. We clearly did not want them to live happily ever after-the ending of 1 clearly is melancholic yet hopeful. We just wanted the game to be given respect. Please look over my reply. Writers are there to convince us readers to see their point. If the point is poorly handled... no surprise that everybody became attached to Joel than Abby. Joel had 1 whole game, and Abby had none in the beginning; no wonder people hated her and still does. Outcry is there for a reason. *Informing a reason for such actions isn't the same as convincing people*-which is why the writers clearly did something wrong. If there's smoke, there's fire.
@@ilikememes1402 You didn’t prove my argument was based on a straw man, you confirmed my theory. People were emotionally invested in Joel so “convincing them” required more work then it should have without that emotional attachment. Joel lived by the sword, and people who followed his story for an entire game convinced themselves that he should have been exempt from that reality just because he replaced his “baby girl”. So convincing them otherwise was a heavy lift. A lift too heavy than just saying “look at the score card”.
@BionicLatino I did. It's in the 2nd and 3rd sentences. You were strawmaning the fact all of us wanted this happily-ever-after with Joel and Ellie; like no... I'll repeat: we wanted the game's respect. There is no need to ask what kind of respect, quite self-explanatory. Also, you're very out of touch-crystal-clear in fact-if you complain people were too attached to Joel. That's *good writing* from the 1st game. A feat that Abby never achieved for these emotionally-attatched people to Joel. I'm stopping here. We seem to not be looking eye to eye-bye.
@@colored433 Actually, that is what makes it good. That's what tragedy and drama is, it's a whole genre in narrative storytelling - you're supposed to be uncomfortable and disturbed, which is not too different from watching horror films, except instead of feeling scared, you feel dread instead

Most of us are already so deeply depressed that playing depressing games actually reduce our feelings of depression because we find empathy in it and we feel less lonely.
Even after all this time it sucks to see people hating on Abby, of course she says "good", like this would hurt ellie as much as it hurts her seeing mel death, even if Abby didn't love Mel, but was still good with her, and in a moment of all this tension and brutality of course she was only thinking about paying the same coin for whatever it would takes since now she was "alone"....
13:56 how is it “in self defense”? Some people just couldn’t allow themselves to be receptive to the point of irrationality. Ellie is the intruder, and she’s the one who facilitated and caused all of the death around her (besides the folks Tommy killed) ON BOTH SIDES. How can you invade someone else’s turf, introduce yourself with the threat of death, then be acting “in self-defense”? If you have reached this point in the game and came to the conclusion that Ellie was in the right, then you have TRULY been blinded by your hatred. There’s no two ways about it, and you’ve missed the point of the game...
@@antinootus561 And it's not that Abby is good and without fault, she continued the cycle Joel started by killing him... and Ellie is seeking to do the same. But you can't act as though Ellie and Co didn't bring this on themselves with their blind pursuit of vengeance.
I think people think to much emotionally, I dont think that is bad but the problem is that if you don try to understand a series for what is trying to do, you really miss the point, Like ofcourse people can dislike it. But is weird to see all the hate to this game
None of these TH-camrs realized it but Abby was going to kill Dina, because she was pregnant and because Ellie killed Mel when she was pregnant. So don’t give Abby all the hate because Ellie started all this fighting. The fact that Ellie went to Santa Barbara to find Abby was the dumbest part of the game. Abby lost more than Ellie has, she allowed her to live the first time but I think Abby letting her live this time was a mistake
No no. Joel started the fighting. Abby continued the fighting until this part. It would literally make no sense to expect Ellie not to go after Abby and be totally fine with Abby going after Joel.
Simphiwe except going after her in Santa Barbara Ellie didn’t finish the job, the fact that Abby gave her 2 chances, the second chance being the theatre fight, Ellie should’ve got the memo, she took everything from Abby, that should’ve been enough, the game should’ve ended when she and Dina were on the farm together, instead Ellie loses the legacy Joel left for her
@@icystoner2711 I'm just addressing your point about starting the fighting. I don't even think Ellie should have gone on her revenge quest since she knew about what Joel did and that it was bound to come back to get him🤷🏾♂️. Edit: And again, that first chance thing. Abby saw her dad dead and went on a 5 year long quest. It makes zero sense (to me) for her to expect not to be hunted after torturing Joel in front of his brother and surrogate daughter. Same as how it makes no sense that some people expected Abby to be nice to Joel after he saved her🤷🏾♂️
Abby’s entire revenge story paints her in the wrong (her father was aggressive + unrelated but Ellie is a prick for how she handled it post-incident to Joel) Ellie killed Mel in self-defense and was devastated to find out she was pregnant Abby was perfectly willing to kill a pregnant Dina when she was out of the fight. Yeah, sure. No one in TLOU ‘is a good person’. But damn, you people defend this? I still think this story is fundamentally weak at best
*Ellie* : Kills Nora , Owen , Mel *Eveyone Else* : YESSS ! KILL THEM ! *Abby* : Tried and kill Ellie & Dina for revenge . *Everyone Else* : HOW IS THAT FAIR ?
ᴅᴀɴɪ . Abby: Lets Ellie go at the theater and gets a completed redemption arc with Lev by her side and the Fireflies to look forward to Ellie: Lets Abby go at the beach and gets nothing, leaves Joel’s guitar behind and becomes a wanderer Everyone: HOW IS THAT FIAR? See it goes both ways
Also not everyone was okay with what Ellie was doing. I'm not sure about everyone in this compilation, but I've seen other TH-camrs and streamers not liking that Ellie was killing in the first place, and definitely weren't enjoying it.
Asad Bashir everything has a cause & effect Ellie *CHOICE* was to leave Dina and her baby for Abby which was a cause and the effect of that Ellie lost her 2 finger and her family . 🤷🏽♀️ and if you pay attention when Ellie returns to the house Ellie has Dina bracelets on which mean more then likely Ellie went back to Jackson with Dina & Tommy .

The only good parts were the flashbacks with Joel and Ellie. I just hate how poorly the storytelling was, especially with Joel's death.
it definitely remind me of shows like Mr. Robot and Westworld, two very good shows that are truly underrated because they are different (one treating mental health on its deep levels, and the other one having a very elaborate storyline).
I just realised TLOU2 is not so different, in that the average players wouldn't get it, or try to read between the lines. the story makes way more sense (although, i'm not going to lie, some elements could have been better)
they definitely kill joel
I truly understand the story, but they did joel dirty killing him like that.. he's the protagonist.

I think is because people like too much Joel,

Ellie: she is pregnant
Abby: that's good! double award!
Lol
Lev really do be teabagging on everyone with his bow
People are forgetting that Ellie killed Mel who was pregnant, thats why Abby said "good" bc its payback with Dina.
Edit:
Also the most important piece of this situation is to remember that **Abby didn’t know that Ellie didn’t know....*** literally Abby found Mel with her jacket open, which looks super obvious that someone knew she was pregnant when they murdered her.
That doesn't justify it at all.

@Meher Chaithanya lol so many reasons to hate Ellie and Joel but you dont hear us complaining here
@Meher Chaithanya aww how pathetic. Also im a fangirl.
Heres a reason. Joel killed Abbys father. Abby kills Joel. Ellie kills not only Mel a pregnant lady but also all of Abbys friends except Lev. So who is the monster here?
Captain of Ships to be fair the mel and owen part was self defense she wasnt going to kill them if they gave her the info. That was on them
Archez ! Well I’m their minds Owen thought he was dead anyway since she had killed all their other friends
If not for Lev.

abby got the muscle 💪

the sound design is incredible. the music calms alongside abby when lev says abbys name
ellie killed her pregnant friend and they're mad that abby had the chance to do the same but didn't? very weird
@@jaelonisaiah2212 but I’m not talking about Abby? I’m talking just from the fans perspective, like their FIRST thought that came to mind when this happened. Since they’ve seen BOTH sides (again, not talking about Abby) and some people just voiced their opinion as in Ellie felt remorse, Abby was ABOUT to do it and didn’t feel remorse. We’ll never know if Abby would’ve actually done it, she would have felt remorse, but from what I’ve seen from her character, and the way she behaved in this scene, I’d say she wouldn’t have felt remorse. She was going to do it DESPITE knowing that Dina was pregnant, until Lev had to call out her name to stop her.
@@liveforshield5717 Ellie also tried to kill a malnourished child to fight a woman that was left tied for weeks without any food or physical activity...

This game is fucking fantastic. Fucking fantastic. Never seen a story like this, where the characters are this deep, and you never know if they'll survive or not. I love that feeling, cuz mostly, when the protagonist is in a bad place, we always know, nah, they'll make it. Here, we truly never know.
Too many closeminded gamers here. They think that Ellie and her cohorts are the only people in this world. Just stuck with being a Joel fanboy.
Anyway i like the last gamer's reaction here.
(Weeb)
ND wanted you to see Abby’s perspective instead of making her a one dimensional character. Tell me, what’s wrong with that?
Christian Ray The problem is there was a way to do that without forcing the player to beat the shit out of Ellie. This entire fight could have been a cutscene and it would have conveyed the same outcome/character development for Abby. Forcing you to sit there and nearly kill Ellie was just bs on this game’s part.
BiPolar Bear But I understand why ND took this risk. The way I see it, this game had two campaigns, one for Ellie and one for Abby, and both had final bosses, one for Ellie and one for Abby.
You’re Ok Boah ok?

Whoever the dude is at the end is so wrong it's incredible. Dude works purely off emotions and biases. That's one thing TLOU Part 2 exposes people for.
I feel bad for those who will never get to experience this story
Abby targeted the man who killed her dad and entire group. She let Ellie and Tommy go TWICE. She spared Dina because she was pregnant. Meanwhile, Ellie killed all of Abby’s friends, including her lover and pregnant frenemy, and only stopped because the trail went cold and Dina was pregnant. Not sure how anyone can see Ellie as the good guy
Expecting Ellie to let Abby go for letting her live is like expecting Abby to let Joel go for saving her life👀.
I get being bummed the player doesn't get to play as Joel, but through this whole thing Angry Joe really came off like a kid upset he didn't get to play with his toys.
Video game journalists: Abby's not that bad
Ellie: She's pregnant
Abby: Good.
Ellie did kill Abby’s friends for no reason soooooo.....
@Meher Chaithanya they wanted revenge against the man who doomed the humanity, killed their leader, and ended their organization, it was for nothing? They really attacked first?
Meher Chaithanya and Ellie should have known that Mel was pregnant because of her fat belly.
Meher Chaithanya in my opinion, Ellie deserves to die, but the game just didn’t let that happen
NeverLookBack Um... yes we do actually. If you try and pay attention to the themes and messages and don’t look at things on a surface level perspective.

Christian Ray Yes, the story nobody wanted was all worth it 🤨
Mario Malgieri it’s a better story than the fans probably could’ve written
Elijah Johnson honestly I think the people hating on this game would’ve probably written another Joel and Ellie adventure. Basically the same story.
Dina is already a mother she ain't gonna be a mother 😭😭😭
That's was Savage 🤧 Btw it's *single mother* first (。•̀ᴗ-)✧
See, let's switch the roles for a sec. If it was ELLIE with a knife to Lev's throat, she 100% would've done it. But no, after everything, Abby STILL had more resolve to not kill someone who relatively had nothing to do with her father's death. Whereas Ellie took her anger and revenge on literally anybody she could. Really gives you perspective on who's the "good guy" here
Totally agreed.
what makes me dislike ellie so much is that even way after abby spared both ellie and dina, ellie still had the audacity to hold a knife on levs throat in the very end.
At the theatre when she agreed to go back to Jackson, after the theatre she promised Tommy she would get revenge
against Abby and she decided not to in favour of living with Dina and JJ on the farm and finally letting Abby go on the beach.
I think this section would have gone quite differently if she knew all seven of her friends were dead.
bro so true that might be the reason
Tbf they kind of are even -- Mel, Owen and Manny are the only ones she's legitimately close with
@@harrytucker6720 specifically Nora makes the difference in my opinion, if Abby knew Nora was tortured after being purposely exposed to spores, I don't think she would have let Ellie go.
There is no reason for Abby not to kill Ellie. She let her go once, and Ellie killed all of her friends. Kill her is necessary for her own safety and Lev's.
Let’s look at the scorecards:
Joel kills Abby’s father, a bunch of her Firefly friends, and dooms humanity to perpetual infections.

Actually, that is what makes it good.

I love the fucking edited no’s when H2ODelirious was talking
Thank you for being reasonable 🤦
@@antinootus561 And it's not that Abby is good and without fault, she continued the cycle Joel started by killing him... and Ellie is seeking to do the same. But you can't act as though Ellie and Co didn't bring this on themselves with their blind pursuit of vengeance.

puuuuhh i seen this scene 17 times and every time i hold my breath by this scene
Ikr
Simphiwe I get why Ellie went after her and I get why Joel died, he did get what was coming
Abby’s entire revenge story paints her in the wrong (her father was aggressive + unrelated but Ellie is a prick for how she handled it post-incident to Joel)
