A timely tutorial as I bought this pattern a few weeks ago. I had intended to prepare this the old fashioned way with tailors tacks, but I do like the carbon paper method, so may go with that.

This is great, thanks! I have this pattern and made two rubbish tests of the honeycomb pattern… did not understand the pattern instructions in the packet at all (very minimal!) You’ve explained it perfectly and I feel confident to proceed.

Can you use the straight lines of a gingham fabric highlighted by tacking stitches?
Yes you can. Gi gham is a good fabric to try this technique.
