Join us on the ride along the Michelson Trail in South Dakota. You might notice that I am riding a different bike, it is a Yamee Fat Bear 750S that we are reviewing for our other channel - Liz Amazing.
First thing I noticed. I was like did they switch bikes...no wait...the wheels are too small. Tiny wheels! Look forward to watching the review. Ordered my ebike after watching your video. I didn't get the Juiced but you guys got me looking at ebikes and I pulled the trigger. You are having too much fun.
Thanks for watching! It's a beautiful ride and now one of our favorites, we only covered a small portion of its109 miles so we definitely plan to be back to ride more of it.
W just returned from a week of riding the Mickelson trail on our Rad Power Bikes. This will be an annual trip for us. The scenery is fantastic and each section of the trail is so different. We camped just south of Hill City and biked both North and South of Hill City. Glad I found this channel to get more ideas. We try tp plan our trips around bike trails.
Glad you found this channel too. We really enjoyed the part of the Michelson Trail we rode as well and look forward to coming back to the area to explore more of it. You might want to check out the Trail of the Coeur d'Alene! We rode it from Wallace, ID (a great little town!) and it too goes on for miles and miles - I believe it's a little over 70 miles in length. We have a video of our ride that will be posted soon.
Noticed the other bike right away! Probably better for the gravel trail. Rode the Michelson in 2018 on our venture to ride all 50 states. Only 14 to go but The threat of COVID stopped us in our tracks this year. Looking forward to your review on that bike. Just ordered a foldable e-bike to try out myself. Hoping it works out as it may be better for us as we get traveling again next year.
The fat tires definitely make it more stable on the soft stuff. I honestly didn't think I'd like the riding position but we've done a couple of 20+ mile rides on it and it ain't bad at all. The 20" tires do make it a little twitchy but I've even gotten used to that. What a great goal to bike in all 50 States, are you vlogging or blogging about it?
@@AmazingBikeRides we have not clogged or blogged but may put something together someday once we pull all of our notes and photos together. Started a few years ago but was tough until I retired four years ago then had a mishap in 2018 after our trip when I got hit and run by a car while in a bike lane near my home in WI. Ended up with a brain bleed which resulted in a craniotomy among other injuries followed by blood clots that put me down pretty hard for six months. Got back at it in 2019 with a trip to Florida riding in eight sates down south and then the Pacific Northwest where we road six states. We typically try to find bike trails close to our campground which is a challenge itself since we try our best to stay off roads these days. Rails to Trails are great trails when you can find them as they are pretty flat (keeps the wife happy) and are in many cases paved. Here in WI we have the grand daddy of bike trails which you should try if you ever get in our neck of the woods. It’s the Elroy/Sparta Trail which also connects with the 400 Trail. Rode that several times and love it, all gravel though but well groomed. Love both of your channels and look forward to your posts each week. Have used your Amazing Bike Rides on rainy days while spinning on the stationary so get some more out there, could be a long winter!
Oh my gosh, glad you came out the other side of that! We will definitely check that out- thanks for the tip! And thanks for your kind words about both our channels!
@@edgramza The comment from a few days ago was from Liz and I just wanted to say how glad I am that you made it out the other side of that hit and run injury, sounds pretty nasty. I know first hand just how dangerous cycling can be having spent 4 days in ICU from a bike crash I had about 2 1/2 years ago that resulted in 5 broken ribs, collapsed lung, broken vertibrae and broken clavicle. Ironic really, as I was a distance runner most of my adult life and only switched to cycling to reduce the truma on my body 🤕 Thanks for the tips on the trails and when we get out your way I fully intend to ride them. P.
Well I have subscribed and will be following along on your journeys. For a few years I searched for the right videos for treadmill and stat. bike. I do like a well made video that is interesting and well edited and now you are number three for my daily exercise videos. This was a beautiful scenic ride and I enjoyed following the Big Red Shirt for which the camera person allowed to pass by a few times. Wonderful Video and Safe travels and be cautious at those fuel pumps.
LoL... Thanks Bill, at least i wouldn't be able to do nearly as much damage on the bike. Glad you're enjoying our videos, and keep spinning! By the way, I think you might enjoy next weeks ride as it's a pretty fast, (20+ mph) 60 min ride in Eastern WA.
What time of year were you there? My husband and I are planning a trip to the area in mid September of this year if everything goes as planned! The ride and landscape looks phenomenal! We can hardly wait!!!
We heard the viewers loud and clear and started doing that around Nov. of last year, rides before that are hit and miss. Thanks for watching and keep pedaling 🚴♀️
Hi guys, as a rider myself you blew me out of water with the magnificent scenes and wonderful landscape. I ride an all aluminum bike and love the fact I can lift my bike with one hand. Our your bikes heavy? if so, how much would you say they weigh? Love your video and don't stop sharing 😀
Thanks Liz! The bike you see is a Yamee Fat Bear 750S and weighs just under 70 lbs. The camera bike is a Luna X1 Enduro and is much lighter at around 50 lbs.

This looks just as good as the Hiawatha...wow! Breathtaking background and not too many hills.
Thanks for watching!

Loved this one. I’ve done it several times now!
We loved it too and from what we heard only rode a small piece of it. Thanks again for watching.

Hi Jane, we were there in September and did that ride on 9/22 so your timing should be just about perfect.
@@AmazingBikeRides, awesome! Thank you. We’re planning to be there at the same time of year. So looking forward to this trip!
I enjoy it so much more when the videographer is in the lead

Liz, I like when you are out in front with the camera. Makes for a better experience. Love both your channels!
Oh, that's good to know, thank you! We will have to mix it up more with who leads. And thank you for watching both of our channels!!
I keep telling Liz to take the lead but she's been apprehensive to do it. Thanks for your input!

Good eye. We're reviewing it for our other channel (Liz Amazing). The bike is a Yamee Fat Bear 750S.
Thanks for watching!
What bike are you riding.
It's a bike we're reviewing for our other channel (Liz Amazing) and it's a Yamee Fat Bear 750S.
