FYI: if this hasnt come through in the video: This is obviously just a suggestion and may not apply to everyone. BUT in 80-90 percent of cases with this "trick" you are able to get a nice balance of CPU and GPU performance on almost any budget. And as stated in the video, selecting different, more expensive parts may offset this thirds-rule but in general and using normal configurations without crazy RGB or anything, it still applies. Any addifional aesthetic things are basically not included in these calculations as they dont aid in performance and have to bascically be added ontop.
I always cross reference my GPU and CPU combos with the PC-Builds website for accurate bottlenecking results. The current system im building is a Ryzen 9 3950x and a RTX 2080 Ti. Zero bottlenecking. Refurbished GPU, and openbox special for the CPU. So far no issues. If youre on a budget give the open boxes and refurbished products a shot. Some even come with warranties. Awesome Vid!
whese bottlenecking websites are kinda meh. depending on the game you will always have a bottleneck for example in flight simulator which is an extremely cpu intensive game or cities skylines.
