This is the Alabama and Mississippi sound that I am use to hearing. Nice guys. I am originally from Opelika, Alabama and the former manager of The Gospel Harmonizers and The Mighty Heralds of God both from Opelika, Alabama. I sing a lot now by myself. Fellows keep up the good work and stay in contact.

Hard and rare thing: black gospel with the voices not blasting out, even emotion sometimes catches the singer, but I think that God prefers that we keep high notes under control... Superbly nice!

Plans say praise him, make a joyful noise, praise him on loud sounding cymbals....Low or high, high sounding dont make God nervous....

+Azavean83 because at that time, people were not categorized by color or race. In the time before the Diaspora, Jewish, Israelite, and Hebrews were known by their faith & by their genealogy like Abraham and Jesus. If you travelled to the Middle East and to Africa, you will see a mixture of all skin colors from dark to light. People in ancient times did not go by black and white. Many were sold into slavery after the Romans attacked Jerusalem and Judea, some fled, scattered into the corners of the Earth. So imagine if you are dark, with what today are called African features taken into slavery again like Joseph, end up in America being mixed among others. How do I know? This happened to Arabs and Muslims too. Yes, Christianity existed too before slavery, so some people in Africa already were Christian. Read the Bible. Yes, we actually had a history, a life, and civilizations before Europeans. Still continue to. I am from Mississippi and my mother is black and Jewish. Most of us did not come from Mississippi, but taken there from the places like Carolinas, Alabama, or other countries during the slave trade then to Mississippi. We think some of our features are Native American features but they are also Eastern, Asian, and African features too. Some people did come here, not as slaves, but free. If my grandfather is right, then he descended from a black Jewish merchant, trader, or Goldsmith. Hence the name Goldsmith or Goldsmiths. He could have been mixes with European Jewish too.

Keisha B which is the way it should be; however, people are distinguished by physical characteristics. Read in The Bible for yourself on what the original Hebrew Israelites of the tribe of Judah looked like, to make a long story short. After that....then check out some of the videos from The Gathering of Christ Church
